To the house, if you are being given Bitcoin advice what should you consider before you say it suit you ?

The good advice for Bitcoiners suits everyone in the industry irrespective of what your portfolio holda in volume. As far the advice is good for the whales, it's also good for the retail investors like you and I that our capital can't be compares to those investing in millions. What are the advice?, making use of Non custodial wallets, DCA and Hodl, not buying because of FOMO or selling because of FUD, backup your seed phrase and keep them offline?

All this are good advice that suits everyone. If there are specific advices being given to you alone don't follow them untill you crosscheck to make sure you aren't being targeted or misled. Any advice you get always confirm with expeimce users on the forum to make sure you're moving in the right track.

I see some newbies getting advice like they should go for altcoins instead of Bitcoin and they think they're getting good advice but they aren't so always verify the advice you're getting.
Gbam!…. You don talk am finish!!
Just like the saying “What is good for the gander is good for the goose” in this case both the normal guy and the whale both face the same situation in bitcoin. What differentiates us could be just the purchasing power and strategies used. We all follow through basically everything.
Good advice is good advice even if you’re not able to implement it at that time you can use it later, the problem is training yourself to know what’s good and not…, the situation OP is describing might be when you don’t fully understand a topic that’s being discussed and you may feel it’s not for you or relevant at the time.

Given example of users who have being using bitcoin for years now and they hold a huge amount may use more advanced way of securing their coin, and beginners will see this and will want to do same thing immediately.
But as a beginner you don’t fully understand how this security setup works out, so if you take same bold step instead of making Bitcoin safer you can end up making mistakes and will loss access to your funds.

For newbies successful in the cryptocurrency industry, newbies need to always follow the steps of an experienced successful Bitcoiner, and their advice should always be taken seriously because they will never give advice that is not going to benefit the newbies. So, in this aspect of security, as far as it works for him, it will definitely work for newbies. But newbies don't need to follow what an experienced Bitcoiner is doing blindly. They need to do their own research and understand things better. Once newbies understand it, they can make use of it without making any mistakes. What causes most of the mistakes that lead to the loss of Bitcoin from newbies is that they don't learn and gain proper knowledge before taking the necessary steps. So, what they need to do is, if they are being advised and they want to follow the steps, they should try to gain  knowledge on that particular steps they want to follow.

Yea It very important to learn from experienced Bitcoin users, but also I would say this that, every security setup shouldn’t be copied once just because it works out for them. Stronger security only is not the goal but also to understand how those setup works and to know how to use it properly matters a lot . An example of an security setup that involves multi multisig or even wallet it a good one, but as a beginner if you don’t know how this things works, and you don’t know how to recover ur wallet it will be another problem on it own. So that why you understand how this setups works should be your first goal before you know go on with copying it.

If a beginner wants to seek advance knowledge on how to secure his wallet, I see nothing wrong with that because being a beginner doesn't mean that you can't go beyond what you should know in your early stages. Being a beginner doesn't make one a small investor because he can buy a huge amount of bitcoin at the start and may be looking for wallet security advice.

The misunderstanding we do have is to think that the knowledge that a newbie needs should be limited since they are new to the crypro space but that is not true, a newbie can still learn about the advanced part of bitcoin simply because that is the level they want to operate.

When it comes to securing your Bitcoin portfolio, I don't think their is a restriction to how a beginner should protect his Bitcoin asset . The only thing is that when you don't understand how a particular security system works, you don't need to use it otherwise you you may endanger your investment, but if you are well acquainted with a security system, I think their is no restriction be it new or old investor. Every Bitcoin investors might have their different system of investing, and when advice is being giving about Bitcoin investing, taking such advice depends if you are comfortable with it or if it conforms to your system of investing. Let take for instance, someone tells you to engage in Bitcoin investing immediately that Bitcoin is very profitable, in a way such word might seem motivating but within that very moment you would want to find out if the information you have been giving is true, and if you should act immediately or not.

If I may think that we can do the first consider of your setting of work which add to want or need at sure amount of Bitcoin in the market.
‎Learning on to secure up ur hard work in movement understanding from anyone else give him sure good minds for the source and consider the stand possible with lead to risk. If I give a good   answer it is not the one size in all work for a person may not work for another.

I went through your comments multiple times but I seem not to get anything from what you have just said, the only thing I could get from what you said is the last statement which is "what works for others may not work for us" and I quite agree with you on that. However, we are  still on the subject that says "is good bitcoin advice always good advice for everyone" for sure a good advice remains a good  advice unless there's something missing that a person did not know maybe the next person that heard the advice was smart enough to detect that and then make correction, and of course we are all learners no one is so perfect that they can't make mistake as no one is above mistake.

It's best not to give advise when unsure to avoid misleading people. What if there is no one to correct the listener and they end up hoarding to misinformation all in the name of a good advice. We are all learners and that's true but there are information that shouldn't be shared when unsure and such is investment advises, because the slightest mistake can result in losses that might cause regrets and blames.

I don't know if I got your points correctly but I always suggest that people who advocate and try to reach others about bitcoin, should always do so with extreme caution and also with obvious disclaimers and always try to tell them to do further research and in a worst case scenario, you can bring them to the forum and guide them and then help them learn to be able to do the right thing and by so doing, we wouldn't be held for any silly actions of your student as well as saving them from losses.
I always tell people to focus more on how volatile bitcoin and cryptocurrencies can be, and always also tell them that they are solely responsible for their advise and if anyone is eager to invest, guide them on a better wallet and exchange and prefer then invest in bitcoin than any other altcoin so they can swell enjoy the benefits of the investment when it comes especially while they learn and it might even be more easier that way because people tend to learn more from personal experience.
