i saved up money with difficulty for my mother’s surgery, but my BTC is not in my wallet anymore. How can I find out where it went? I’m an amateur in crypto. did I get scammed
As an amateur, why did you decide to save in BTC that you don't understand... Drop the bitcoin address where you have been saving the BTC let's confirm for you. Your BTC might be intact

I'm sorry to hear your story bros, It must be hard, losing something we had previously gathered. Some time ago, one of our local board members also lost 1.2 BTC. There is nothing beautiful about all this loss. So, regarding what you are looking for, you can see where your BTC go on the blockchain. Here are some explorer sites you can use: (1) Mempool(2) Blockchair(3) BlockstreamHowever, if you want to view it in good detail, you can use Arkham.

Why is op not responding to the messages here? Someone who truly lost his bitcoins and is unaware of how to go about it will stick around hoping to get solution.
Was any bitcoins truly stolen? Is this just another post aimed at registering his presence here and get noticed like most newbies would do?
If op won't respond to the replies and provide clues on how to help him, then this thread is not worth discussing on.
Don’t you think it might just be a fabricated story, because I don’t understand how his bitcoin just disappears from his wallet, probably he is sharing his phone with someone else, or someone might have had access to his phone and wherever he/she must have kept the bitcoin, bitcoin doesn’t just disappear from your wallet all of a sudden without no trace, he has been provided with solutions here but the op is nowhere to be found to provide responses, which makes me think it might just be a make up issues.

Your comment seems like a made up story because you didn't explain anything and didn't give any information. If you had told us what kind of wallet you were using, we would have had an idea but you didn't say anything like that.
There are several possibilities. Some people make up stories on forums, but it could also be that they're too new to this, or shy, and are overwhelmed by the responses without really knowing what to make of them. Why is op not responding to the messages here? Someone who truly lost his bitcoins and is unaware of how to go about it will stick around hoping to get solution.
That's what I thought—he's been online but hasn't replied to the thread. Still, let's give him a reasonable amount of time. He's completely new to the forum.

I'm not sure if you really don't know where it went, if you have accumulated bitcoin in that wallet means you already know how things works, also some of the members are asking you for more information, but if it did really disappear, you can see history of transaction that is made in your wallet if its in the non custodial wallet and its in your computer phone, then someone in your family might move the money, outside, but since we do not know what really happen or you can't provide more info then we can't answer your question.

Three sentences with information and a whole wall of questions about how people didn't understand anything but were ready to help.
OP, if you once purchased bitcoins, then you needed to find out how to save them. Talking about what was difficult for you and so on will not change the situation in any way. Yes, we're all sorry, but if the wallet owner doesn't know what to do with them, then only your experience can help them. Next time, you will learn more and describe the situation more specifically. There is no crystal ball to tell you what happened in your life.

As an amateur, why did you decide to save in BTC that you don't understand... Drop the bitcoin address where you have been saving the BTC let's confirm for you. Your BTC might be intact This is what I was going to say. As much as I sympathise with him, I blamed him for saving his mother surgery money in an asset he knows nothing about. You don't need to much but at least, you should know how to access your assets and know when they move and to where they moved to. Inputting your address in blockchain Explorer is enough to tell you whether your coin is sitting in your wallet or it's being moved. If you really don't know about this processes, it's ideally wrong to save your money in what you don't understand how it works. The fact that there's no more information from Op make his claim questionable. Someone that lost his mother surgery money would be eager to provide necessary information so he can get help at all cost.

How convenient is it for you to write your first post, after losing your bitcoin that was meant for your mother’s surgery? You suddenly discovered the forum the moment you lost your bitcoin, to come ask if you got scammed. How do you expect someone like me to believe this crap? I’m not saying things like this don’t happen out there to genuine people, but in your case I feel it is a made up story. You are not a newbie to this forum, and bitcoin investment. You are someone that know your ways around bitcoin and this forum. By the way, where is the wallet address, of the claimed lost bitcoin?

First off, there's a good chance that since you started this thread, you've already received a lot of direct messages. If someone wants to help you but isn't using this public discussion, just disregard them. Second, I see that you are online today, but if you don't give us the information that will enable high-ranking members to help you, we won't be able to assist you or find out what happened to the Bitcoin in your wallet if you don't answer the questions asked above.

"My BTC is not in KY wallet anymore" is not enough information for us to know what really happened to your BTC and how we can be of help to you. You need to tell is the wallet you were using and the details of your transactions history so we can know where it how it got out of your wallet and the destination address, from there, people can at least help you trace what happened.

Looking at the ETH address you have in your profile, there are few transactions happened since long time ago so I doubt you are that amateur in crypto. I'm sure you have been learning about crypto for more than a year and you managed to receive and send crypto (ETH) already. That's the first contradicting story (claim to be amateur but you have done transaction since more than a year) while the 2nd contradicting story is that you save such an important funds in something that you are not familiar, how come? I do not mean to judge but are you trying to cook a story up in your very first post in this forum?

True, topics like this where the OP doesn't write more than one post are quite common in B&H, so although we can attribute this to inexperience, I always look at the bigger picture and see a pattern that often repeats itself. So far, two more posts by beginners have appeared in the thread, but someone please explain to me why this was done by someone who registered on 14 December 2025 and this is his first post on the forum? There are too many new accounts and those who wake up after a long period of inactivity and play some strange games...
