Betby sportsbetting provider error: Region Not Allowed

Has anyone else experienced the same betby region restriction error recently? Is this just a temporary betby issue, or could it be related to the betting sites or accounts being used?

I haven't had such experience before and if it's a temporary occurrence you should know best either when it repeats itself and  reconnect again or it never occurred again.
But I'm suggesting that it was a system glitch that has to do with the regional permission of the platform.
If I may ask, as you had this very experience did you try using other sites of the sport books you mentioned to be familiar with?
If yes then the barrier must come from location because different sites shouldn't give you the same problem but if you didn't then it's an error that glitch your location and was later on reconnected.

I'm also using those gambling sites, and the only issue i've been experiencing is getting timed out after idling for too long. Maybe it's just one of Betby's placeholders since you already mentioned that a simple refresh fixes the problem.

If it's an ISP issue, the error should happen right from the start, and it's too much of a coincidence to be account related.

That's strange, but I don't think it's an ISP issue since you can still access the site after refreshing. It's more likely just a temporary bug on their end.

I wouldn't worry too much unless your country or region is officially listed as restricted. If it is, even if the site still lets you in now, your account could later face access limits, withdrawal checks, or other restrictions once they enforce the rule properly.

It has nothing to do with BETBY itself, as stated in their terms. What really matters is the casino's license and the jurisdiction they serve. It's the operator's responsibility to comply with the rules, not the provider.

So you need to check with your bookie whether your country is listed as restricted. Better yet, message the casino directly and clarify it. It's hard to gamble comfortably when you're not even sure if you're already violating their rules, so don't disregard this.

I dont think this is the issue. Haven’t you read what OP mentioned that this restriction only lasts for a few minutes and after that he is able to place the bet? I think the problem is with the odds provider, Betby. They initially flag OP’s IP as being from a country where betting is not allowed but later, after parsing more data from your side, they fix the issue.

I think people from OPs country might be facing the same issue that is initially, Betby thinks you are from a restricted location and then the issue fixes itself after a few minutes. Moreover this seems to be happening because as OP mentioned, the same thing happens with all the casinos using Betby. So dont worry they will probably fix the issue themselves.

In my opinion, there could be many reasons for this problem... I also frequently test various online casinos and sometimes encounter errors related to regional restrictions. 🙋

Switching from IPv6 to IPv4 sometimes helps. Geolocation in IPv6 still works terribly. I don't know what's causing this.

Sometimes it's helpful to configure Google or Cloudflare's public DNS in your router settings.

Also (to understand the cause of the problem), I think it would be useful to check your IP address at the time the problem occurred (there are online services for this). Overall, I think that in today's world, oddly enough, it's sometimes more reliable to access websites with a VPN than without one. 🤷

Strange, I've never experienced this before, you calmed to be using multiple betting sites and I use Rainbet too but I've never experienced this problem before, it could be your service provider, because I can remember letting a service provider go because of problems like this, I had to go with another SIM provider/network and things are different immediately, some service providers are not as good as others, if I have to start from somewhere I will change my SIM card to another network first.

I have never seen a 'region not allowed' error on any of the platforms I occasionally use for sports betting. Since it started happening recently, did you make any changes on your end that could potentially cause it? Settings changes, privacy changes, new extensions, that sort of thing? You said you aren't using a VPN, but do you have one installed on your computer or did you install a new one recently even if it's turned off when you are betting?

If it keeps happening I would contact customer support and tell them what I see. If it's an error they are familiar with, they might have advice on how to fix it.

Could be some kind of network glitch or something but it's better to be sure of the root cause of the issue.
Since you have mentioned the issue is across multiple sites using betby I think it's not something from the site's end.
Could be either a network issue from your end or betby end. You can contact betby to figure out why it's happening.
Just make sure you are not having large amount of balance on your gambling accounts until you figure it out because your gambling account might get tagged for suspicious activity.

It depends what country you're trying to access it from - is sports betting actually restricted in your country? I noticed for a long time that Jackpotter did not have geo blocking restrictions which is odd because most mature and established sites would prevent me from doing anything on the homepage, but it's only in the last few months they've tightened up.

Sports betting is legal in the Philippines since the OP is same country with me. The problem is our country recently becomes stricter when it comes to online casino or casino services that doesn’t have license from our local gambling regulator.

You made mention of multiple casinos sites having the same issue when using Betby as their provider. Is tells something very important. And many of you may think it is because of Betby. But what if it was a error in location restriction. Refreshing the page got it removed doesn't mean that error just cleared like that. Hope someone here gives you the correct reason for what went wrong.

If it's a local online betting site, then the error is probably on their side if you are not using a VPN or anything. But do check whatever gadget you are using. Some smartphones have issues with country restrictions because they're not reading your time zone. You might want to check the time and date on your computer or your phone.
Some local online betting sites or sports bookies are strict when it comes to country restrictions, so it's probably reading something wrong on your side too.

Yea, I agree with you, that's as a result of temporary mismatch of location or IP of the OP which is why after just a little while, the error disappears after it has been finally identified and corrected by their system. I can't remember the exact casino but someone has made this complaint before on a casino X account and from their feedback, the error was from them which they said they will look into it. If OP takes this error to the support, I believe they will make it go away.

Similar situation here. I think it could just be related to the IP address because in our country we have different ISPs, and I experienced one site having a problem with a certain ISP while it works fine with others.

Sometimes the regulators are working on blocking certain sites, but not all ISPs implement it the same way. That's how it is right now in the Philippines based on my experience.

Try changing your ISP or using another connection and see if the problem still exists.

I think I already figured it out. It's my ISP.

I checked my IP using fast.com and surprisingly, eventhough I'm in the Philippines and not using a VPN my IP is showing as Oceanside, US.
Maybe this is why I'm getting the “region not allowed” error on betby. Like after few minutes or refreshing the page, it goes back to normal.
So I think it's probably an IP geolocation issue and not related to my account.
