I just want to ask if anyone else has recently experienced this problem too.
I use multiple betting sites, such as rainbet, jackpotter, vega.bet as well as a local online casino that also uses Betby as its sportsbetting provider. Recently, I’ve been frequently getting region restrictions or region not allowed error when trying to access the sports betting section all online casino using betby.

What’s strange is that after few minutes or reloading the page the issue disappears and I can access the sportbetting normally again.
I’m asking because I’m wondering if this could be related to my account, location or ISP. Take not I'm not using VPN.

It depends what country you're trying to access it from - is sports betting actually restricted in your country? I noticed for a long time that Jackpotter did not have geo blocking restrictions which is odd because most mature and established sites would prevent me from doing anything on the homepage, but it's only in the last few months they've tightened up. I think it's more likely controlled by the casino provider but maybe Betby have started enforcing it globally for some reason. Depending on the reason, they might actually be doing you a big favor because in some countries gambling on online casinos can actually have dangerous consequences like ending up in jail (if there are things like ISP checks taking place). IMO, it could also be related to your ISP. If your provider uses dynamic IP addresses, or if there are temporary routing changes on their network, the geolocation system used by sportsbooks may occasionally misidentify your location. I’ve been hearing from quite few player recently about this region restriction issue involving Betby provider.

I suspect most likely cause is issue with CDN and Cloudflare edge routing.
This is because casinos integrate Betby’s API and iFrame directly into their platform.
You know, Betby operate its own geo-blocking server and API edge gateway.
These system independently verify live sport data feed and check our IP address.
Sometime due to changes in CDN routing and IP geolocation error your ISP's IP address might be identified as belonging to region where access is restricted.
But when you reload page and refreshing cache, Betby is able to correctly detect your IP again and error resolves.

Nope.
I've run into this problem maybe two or three times over the past few years, and I have no idea why I got that error. It happens without a VPN. When I do use a VPN, I see region restrictions more often – but that's strange too: sometimes they just disappear on their own, like in your case. I get why a VPN triggers region restrictions, but I don't get why they disappear. My guess is it's poorly written code that checks your region once at login and never checks again. Just a theory.

It is fine that you do not use any VPN.
However, local ISP often assign short term dynamic IPs. This frequently happen to those of us using broadband and mobile data.

Sometime, specific IP subnet belonging to any ISP is incorrectly geo tagged in international IP to location databases, such as MaxMind.
Additionally traffic is sometime routed through another country, where it may be filtered.

This issue is usually resolved when your ISP change that subnet on backend. Alternatively turning off your router for while, restarting it, and refreshing your browser can also change subnet, thereby eliminating that problem.

I recommend you to refer their terms and FAQs page, or please drop the link of the website you are talking about.

I experienced similar restrictions on casinos that is regulatred based on UK, other than that I never had issues accessing the sports betting sections on betting platforms, and also check your ISP have any policies against gambling.

Sort of but I think this is something that's mostly cause because of temporary routing changes, ISP dynamic IP reassignment, or CDN edge-node shifts which will briefly map a legitimate IP to the wrong country.
If this constantly happen, I will advise the OP to check whether their ISP’s IP range recently got reassigned or contact the support team of the casino so they can inform the Betby team about the issue.

Betby's Sportsbook provider is fine there are no any obstacles or restrictions, I do not know about the problem you are experiencing this seems a bit different when visiting can not but after loading the page becomes normal, is it possible this is just a browser problem?

Either your local network is giving you that issue or you contact the Support teams of the various casinos to know better. Because I have experienced such in one of the casinos I have been trying to register in months back but after sometimes, I refreshed the page and it worked well, but your case might be different from my case. So the best person that can you the needed answer is to contact the casino to know what is happening there.

I haven't really had such an issue before but In most cases People go through this when they make use of a VPN, that's one logical explanation. if you have been accessing the site without this issue and this comes up all of a sudden then I think you should check if you activated a VPN at that particular time. sometimes it could be a temporary glitch in the system that the casino would eventually work on or get fixed in no time.

Did you experience the same thing when you try to open other casino platform out there or only betby gives you that error? And what country are you leaving in.

When you finally opened the site, have you communicated with the support to know if the site is having fluctuated shutdown? Asking this because I know a multinational company in the US that the site goes off and one-Datwyler (Not gambling related). Support said it's site maintenance issue.

I'll suggest, when you experience this, hold on to place bets untill the site is stable again or you switch to another brands if your bets are urgent to execut especially sportbetting.

I have experienced the same thing as you at vegabet, a few moments later everything was back to normal, so I think it's not from the provider but from the casino, the approach to users is closer to the casino than the provider directly to the user, I'm sure 90% of it is from the casino who is on patrol in my opinion, especially since we often bet on sports

If your account had been flagged or subjected to permanent regional ban then simply refreshing  page wouldn't have fixed your issue.

Since you can access it normally just by reloading, it is certain that there is no problem with your account itself. Such issue sometime arise when ISP's default DNS fail to resolve hostname correctly.

The most important thing is that I also faced similar problem myself.
After testing my ISP's DNS, I got that was where actual issue lay.
Then I configured my device to use Google DNS 8.8.8.8 as primary and Cloudflare DNS 1.1.1.1 as secondary, and I haven't encountered any such problem since.

I think in my opinion it could be a technical network or ISP routing issue on the provider site and it may have nothing to do with OPs account or the other sites he uses.
There's obviously no need to panic because also as you said, the geolocation system may also be the issue from the provider of which is Betby.

Most time these errors displays when your country are not permitted to gamble or even access the sports book. I don't know if is from your country but I read few countries that their government are monitoring all their activities online to know if they are really accessing gambling sites and some of illegals activities and the reason for that was reduced the rate at which student go into gambling without focusing on their studies. It could be an issue from our ISPs. IIRC, there's a policy that's being applied to them that any other offshore casino that's not registered in our country must be blocked. I have my dns modified and that's why I am able to visit bookies including provided by betby. There is a tutorial on google if you'll search for how to modify it and use 8.8 or 4.4.

I think this is not a new incident with Betby provider even I saw multiple players posts on that they say that they were blocked by the betby provider because of the false flag, Even Evo.io moved their provider from betby because of this, Even the Evo representative said that they reset the players' status but betby blocked them again a few days later.

Did you contact with those casino supports? Maybe they would give you better explanation for this issue.

Because there can be several reasons for the problem here, in your case, since you are not facing the problem after a few minutes on reload, it could be a Betby geolocation/IP verification issue, as well as your ISP's ip geolocation or session/integration issue. I think you can get an answer to the root cause of your problem by contacting casino support.

Are you using some customized DNS by any chance? If you are using one, depending on the location of the provider of such DNS, then there could be some conflict between the apparent location of tour machines and the regions which are not allowed by the casino to provide services to...

So far, I have used customized DNS in the past and they have never given me problems like this one, even if the providers of my DNS are from the United States (Google), which would have prompted casinos which don't allow gamblers from the United States to participate on them...

First, I just found out that I’ve actually been using Betby for sportsbook betting all this time.

I see in the terms & conditions that there are no restrictions other than age, so your location shouldn't be an issue. I don't know for sure where the problem is coming from, but I assume it most likely originates from your account. Have you ever asked the support teams of the sites where you play about this issue?
