Well the value of research doesn't determine the outcome of something it only gives you an edge as to what the token/coin is all about. Best to say it creates awareness to making precise decisions. I think most mistakes people make is to rush in because they don’t want to miss opportunity, someone can just tell them that they can turn 100,000 naira into 200,000 in few days and instead of people to ask them questions, they will just rush and put their money. What I mostly tell people is to understand or know where their money is going.

Honestly you can just use few minutes to check the persons profile, reviews and how the investment works or makes money. If you take your time and check these few things you can notice things that are not real. It’s better to be late and secure your asset than for you to rush in and lose all your money. Most of the so-called investment opportunities we have out there are linked to Ponzi schemes. That's how I have generalized it.

In this country, if there is anything I want to invest in that has to do with me risking my money, even if it has an existing physical office, I still work to trust them. At least there should be a registration and permit from Nigeria SEC before I can even have a rethink about it. FOMO has sent so many people back to village in terms of investment, they used to go by hype to invest or based on what they see other people are doing, they don’t care to do research about it, they believe that whatever someone they trust or know has invested in, it is a good project, they will definitely find money to invest without any doubt, instead of them to go further to ask or do some research about the project, until they lose money before they realize their mistake.

I am a victim of not doing research; I was in a group where some idols share signals on degen trading, whenever they make call, we go in, and the idols will make it clear that we should use risk management, but then, I don’t know much, I do just buy and forget, while others will go back and check to take profit, u till one day I open the wallet and I see nothing, it seems like these coins I used to buy them were just few minutes or day trades and they die after sometime. I see no reason why anyone should make any investment without doing any research unless you are not concerned about where your hard earned money is goes into. I made a mistake when I started investing in cryptocurrencies as I started investing in some altcoins which I lost high amount of money which was the first lesson that I learned.

I researched about how I can protect my coins and the research helped me.
