Former Vice President Atiku Abubakar has unveiled a 12-point policy agenda he says will guide his administration if he wins the 2027 presidential election on the platform of the African Democratic Congress (ADC).

The policy commitments were published by AbdulRasheed Shehu, Special Assistant on Broadcast Media to Atiku, as part of the former vice-president’s campaign message ahead of the election.

The agenda focuses on the economy, education, local government autonomy, transportation, electricity, job creation, security, agriculture, healthcare and the restructuring of the federal system.

Here is the link to the news: https://opr.news/73d689aa260913en_ng?link=1&client=ex_yl_bite

The presidential election 2027 is fastly approaching, and every presidential aspirant is rolling out their political agenda. This is not a new thing to Nigerians because is something they have been doing long time ago, and is also a strategy they use to capture the mind of the citizens, and I think this agenda listed here have been the major problems confronting Nigerians, and these politicians have been using them during campaign, if they have been working on these agenda before now, Nigeria would have been in good condition long time ago, but nevertheless we still have to be giving them this trial since it is majorly in the hands of these leaders to develop the country.

To me, I think the present government lead by Armed Tinubu has offered everything they have for Nigeria as a country, and also for the citizens, and I think promising a better governance by 2027 when the Nigeria economy is very unstable in his first tenure is something that attracts a serious thought. I really urge Nigerians to vote wisely, and choose who will lead us well.
It is true that politicians do manipulate election but I still feel that someday true democracy will prevail, let's vote for the rightful candidate and expect Nigeria to grow, and gain economic stability.

Former Vice President Atiku Abubakar has unveiled a 12-point policy agenda he says will guide his administration if he wins the 2027 presidential election on the platform of the African Democratic Congress (ADC).

If the agenda doesn't include the accountability of our politicians then he's not yet secure, I know that his government would be better than this president government but we need a government that can reduce the level of corruption amongst politicians, Nigeria would change to an extent when politicians start being responsible for their actions.
When that happens everyone would be scared of looting funds through padded budgets or building poor infrastructures for the public, gone are those days when we were decieved by false claims these politicians use as campaign strategies then when they get into power they'll end up doing worst than the previous government.

I don’t believe in too many talks, and I’m not moved by all these 12 points and 20 points agendas that these politicians are doing. I believe in someone who is living the life he preaches. Atiku can’t be trusted, for cry out loud, why can’t these old men allow us fix our country. Why can’t they just stay out of the ballot and allow the people with proper blue prints lead this country contest for president. Imagine if we have people like Peter Obi running for president in all the top 3 political parties in the country. For me Atiku won’t win this election, so we don’t need his 12 points agendas.

Atiku Abubakar was the Vice President of this country between 1999-2007, he had the opportunity to building a reputable name for himself, but what did he do? He was associated with different corrupt allegations including the ones from his then principal President Olusegun Obasanjo. Since he left office in 2007, he's been running for the presidential election and each time he fail to win, he goes back to Dubai and wait for the next four years when another general election will happen again.
I won't bother myself looking through the 12-point plan because I know that there's nothing too serious about it, he's just trying to work his way to Aso Villa and if that happens, Nigerians will most likely experience a worse administration than what we have at the moment.

I also don't believe in any of this guys and there shit agendas, but Tinubu made everything seem like a joke, if he loses, underline if, then he will go home and think well, he will, we have jokers as politicians in Nigeria, considering your comment in regards to allowing us fix our country, do you think they youths are ready to chase this course, for me, I think the youth are not focusing on that, few that are into politics are focusing on their belle, so what next,if the youths of this country are prepared to take power, they will have to work in one accord which I think might not be possible because of betrayal that runs  in their blood, Peter Obi is a very good candidate he also has much supporters, but where the problem lies, is the vote itself, if he vote can be free and fair, then obi is the man but if it goes otherwise, then Atiku or Tinubu will win.

Funny people, so many talks but no action, these are all his schemes he comes up with when elections is fast approaching and I don't really blame him because he is just doing whatever it takes to win the presidential election. Politics is a very manipulative game, as a presidential candidate you just have to do whatever it is takes to win the mind of the people. Atiku has a lot of flaws and he is just doing all these to have supporters, believe him at your own risk. His point plan and manifesto doesn't include eradicating corruption in Nigeria especially among the politicians, that's our biggest problem right now.

The agenda focuses on the economy, education, local government autonomy, transportation, electricity, job creation, security, agriculture, healthcare and the restructuring of the federal system.
We all should know this by now: almost all the politicians who are running for one position or the other will say all sorts of things to get the position that they want, but immediately after they have gotten what they wanted, they will never do those things; rather,r they will do the opposite, or they will do just a few other things (2/10). We are not new to this country, and nobody is a kid anymore, as even these days minors are also aware of the hardship in this country. From my perspective, Atiku will not do all the things he mentioned, since he's no different from the other politicians we have seen so far. Just so we know, actions speak louder; all those things Atiku is saying are just words; what matters is the actions towards it.

People who have a good agenda don't make much noises, let take a closer look at the governor of Abia State: he's just a governor, not a president yet, and he's doing all those things. Imagine what he will do when he finally becomes a president.

Why do Nigerians still fall for what these men say? They have been using the same formula and saying the same things for over 25 years, and Nigerians still fall for them. People like Atiku and Tinubu have nothing to offer us. This should be crystal clear for all to see, yet people still don't see it. All they do is talk. They only care about taking their own share of the national cake and making themselves and those around them richer.

There is no need to sugarcoat it. Peter Obi is the best candidate among all the candidates we have in Nigeria. He is not a saint, and he will not turn Nigeria into a developed country, but he is way better than the rest. At least we have seen how they all performed in their past positions. We have heard them speak. Till today, nobody has been able to reasonably point out why Peter Obi shoud not be president. Until Nigerians sit up, our country is going to remain a shithole.

This is not the first time a presidential aspirant is publishing a welcoming leadership plans to work with if the chance is given to him as the president of the country but the problem here is can he work with that same plans after becoming the president of the country.  I still cannot forget Muhammad buhari's proposed leadership plans before becoming president,  then 24 hours electricity was mentioned, adequate security and others where in his list but he never did any among all. Same also to the current president but did non among all, so what is the assurance that Atiku will fulfil his promise if the opportunity is given to him.

I even prefer for each leader that emerges president to tackle a particular aspect of the economy, just come and focus on electricity for example let’s know that this is what we benefited from that administration rather than scattering 20 point agendas everywhere that at the end of the administration they won’t be able to fulfill anyone.

Is Atiku in question not tired of contesting for president, what kind of money does he have that doesn’t reduce or is he not tired of spending, obviously he doesn’t have a good leadership track record so why can’t he just rest, he isn’t even the favorite amongst his Hausa brothers because he hasn’t done much for his people so i don’t see why he feels he stands a chance to win, what is new that Atiku wants to tell Nigerians that already knows his true personality, he should keep on deceiving himself with his 12 point agenda, on the day of the election Nigerians know the credible candidate to vote.

There is no real talk or sincerity in all that is in that his so called 12 point agendas, as a matter of fact those are all rubbish. However, those are old format and I trust Nigerians will can never fall for such cheap promise , not what we have gone through all this year's.

Again, if I'm not mistaken. I heard that he's so corrupt, even more than the present seating president. Who knows what he has in stock for us if he wins, only God will safe us from this evil Men.

The affair of the whole country is the primary duty of the president so I don't want them to execute their function in one thing because it will not help the country, have you wondered how the electricity would be when their tenure will be over and also when new president will come to focus on another thing?, will the president leaves his activities to maintain other past government role?, so actually this is why I don't think the idea will ever be productive in this country so actually is better when every president will extend their role everywhere because that is the only way the change will materialize in the country.

Everything mentioned in the 12points are what Nigerians wants and if this is put in place the economy will flourish well with less inflation and business will flow so as employment will be common for everyone to be employed I once said if Atiku is given the opportunity he will do well, it doesn't mean he won't steal but atleast he is business oriented and he will do everything within his powers to flourish his business which will give room to more employment.

This is not the first time that politicians are coming out to give us what they will do if they are elected into office but the problem is promising the people and when the mandate has been given to them they won't fulfill any of the promises they made during campaigns, that's how Tinubu came forth with growing the economy and today we can barely survive, what has been listed are key areas affecting us as a people and if this areas are tackled Nigeria will be better.

Atiku has pointed out his 12 points agenda but we all know that he will not do as he has promised. We have seen the likes of atiku when he was a VP to former president olu Obasanjo, atiku sold most of the nation national assets to foreigners and privatized some as his personal properties which is why Obasanjo don't trust or what to have anything to do with him.

Politicians don't change, they might hide their motives to win electorates on their side but after there are elected that's when you well see their true colours. People who are saying atiku has changed don't know the waziri of Adamawa and what he is capable of doing if he wins. He will sell most of our national assets and do worse than what Tinubu has done. We shouldn't do the mistake of voting such an incompetent person for President as we might regret it.

Your opinion is good but which of the president will do what you just said, non of them will ever consider doing it, even if Atiku happens to be the president, he he'll do his own things, there's nothing like continuity in our country governance, take for example our governor's, if one leave office, his successor will start his own projects, unless they had a good relationship that continue to be for sometime, once that relationship got messy, the successor will likely turn his face from those projects and if the project is been executed for their predecessor,
The country lacks leaders, people whom the development of the country is their primary concern.

Former Vice President Atiku Abubakar has unveiled a 12-point policy agenda he says will guide his administration if he wins the 2027 presidential election on the platform of the African Democratic Congress (ADC).
If consistency was a person then Atiko is the man. We have seen enough of him that we don't even need him to bring a Ten point Agenda. his chance of winning is totally in the hands of his party and not even in the hands of Nigerian. is the ADC capable of winning against the APC and the peter Obi wing that are still considered the favorite in this coming election?

All the names on the election ballot are familiar faces and we know them far too well than judging them by their manifesto because f they eventually win, non of them will be ready to redeem their promise and manifesto. We all know that Atiku is not winning any election.

I want Bola Ahmed Tinubu not to succeed with his second tenure ambition for me to see what the next person that will become the next president of Nigeria will do. Even as I want another person to win the Nigeria presidential election in 2027 I don't want that person to be Atiku Abubakar because he has been running from one political party to another just to get the ticket to contest for the president of Nigeria and I see him as a man who want to get the opportunity to loot Nigeria funds nothing else so he's a wrong person to replace Bola Ahmed Tinubu. Atiku Abubakar understood what Nigerians are lacking and he said he would fix those things if elected as the president of Nigeria just to get our votes but he can't deceive Nigerians with his agenda, because Nigerians are wise now and they know once you elect someone as president of Nigeria that person won't do what he promised to do when he was seeking for votes. I know no one is a saint in the world, but if there's going to be change in Nigeria from 2027 Peter Obi is the person that would bring that change because he has human sympathy  and he won't embezzle much.

His point plan and manifesto doesn't include eradicating corruption in Nigeria especially among the politicians, that's our biggest problem right now.
very funny people,  Atiku is not even thr option, he was vice president and they couldn't do all these things he's using to campaign,  he embezzled funds meant for projects,  he should just go home and sleep,  I don't trust him at all.

Tinubu said the same thing when he was in opposition yet he could not them as president,  talk is easy but action is the problem,  if Atiku become President he will be blaming Tinubu administration for his own failure,  that's how Buhari blamed Jonathan,  now Tinubu is blaming Buhari his party man. Nigerian politicians has nothing to offer for the citizens.

I honestly think I will still prefer Atiku wins the next election than tinubu going back for the second term. The stuff atiku is holding to campaign is more likely to happen, and at the rate I’m buying fuel now, I will prefer a government that will reduce the cause of that effect on me. You also mentioned that Atiku didn’t do al those things he’s using to campaign now while he was vice president, let me remember you that it’s was just the beginning of democracy in Nigeria as at then, and we all know the less power give to the vice president so i guess he could have done better if he was the president and not the vice president. In as much as we can’t trust all this people I think one should still be better than one sin I will choose Atiku over the rest of the aspirants.
