I think this is more understandable than Mr_Brilliant$ comment. And also I will look at it from another dimension, if that will distract the dealers or the representative at the moment in the live chat, there should be permanent representative who will only discussing with people who ask questions and others and for doing that, the dealer will focus on the games and control things at the games.

Because automatically disabling the live chat and nobody can ask questions does not make sense in the live chat. Through those discussions people will learn new things to support their gambling in the casino. They shall hire people to do the work for them instead of over labouring themselves.

That would certainly make sense, given that many people treat the chat like a dumping ground for airing baseless complaints and grievances. I can’t even imagine the level of stress resilience required to work there as a dealer. On the other hand, we players ought to conduct ourselves with more restraint even when losing yet many view the gambling environment as a place to vent the negativity they’ve accumulated from bosses who yell at them at work. It would be far better, however, to channel that energy into improving their own emotional control.

I believe so too. Again it's also a way of preventing players from making some unpleasant comments or noise that may possible cause unnecessary chaos when in lost  and all that. Players some time's can be so unbelievable especially when the game isn't going in their favour.

Furthermore, another thing I think should be the reason for this act is to avoid some unnecessary conversation and complains that doesn't tally with the main business, or probably a way of reducing distractions.

I also felt that another reason could be for the purpose of privacy, not everyone likes to receive anonymous messages from strangers, and that’s literally why some people chose to use the online casino, rather than finding their way to an offline casino. Some people just like to play their game peacefully and not get interrupted by comments from their opponents. I don’t know, but I think that could be a very good reason for the casinos to do that.

Maybe it's just temporary due to some reasons, like it's not conducive anymore. For example, players flood the chatbox with unnecessary messages, harsh comments, etc. Maybe you tried to play again on the other day? Is it still closed? Because in my experience, it's sometimes on and off, however, I don't know exactly the reason.

Also, for me, chatting with the live dealer is not really a thing, one way interaction is okay for me. If the live dealer can comment on live things, like players' bets, mentioning my name, then it's good enough. It just makes me feel like the game is less (or even not) manipulated. Well I think the betting platform isn’t a place to chart and if a betting site decides to let the chart section open, then it’s their opinion and if they fails to do you can’t hold them responsible. Because there are proper ways to complain if you have any. You can go through costumer care services. Another reason why they chart section might be close is due to spamming , I’ve been in a sport platform chart section and it’s was not even a good experience people are just there lamenting and saying things that are not true, some even try to scam others there.  

I guess betting platform like you said are not to be seen as some trading chart platform,I think there main job is to offer odds and settle bets, and from the seeing the chat looks like an extra,and many peoples confuse the chat offer as support, which I think it not it for users to communicate among themselves,  customers care is for real issues...

And talking about spamming yes it really one of thw biggest problems, for some reason i was they some months ago and honestly your experiences is same as mine it 100% noise... just as you have said if anyone has issues like settling of odds, deposits the proper way should be exactly customer care or support tickets, live support not chat section.

The point is that online casinos close chat intentionally, as far as I know this is not the first case I have heard and seen, in fact there are many reasons for casinos to close chat with their users.

I want to know, whether the online casino is officially licensed or not, if they are not licensed or a well-known casino with a bad reputation, of course it is an act of fraud, because they deliberately cover up the chat, what's more the bettors ask about withdrawing funds andso on.

But technical reasons such as internet connection or server down can also be the cause of the chat feature being disabled and there are many other reasons that cause the chat feature to be disconnected.

The only thing which comes to my mind is the fact people can be very rude and uneducated when comes to chatting with strangers on the internet, there are gamblers who simply don't understand the etiquette of live casinos, so they start to insult, call the dealer names and even beg to get their money bag after and big loss.

If that kind of behavior was recurrent on that live casino, then I could see why they decided to risk keeping the chat closed and rest value to their casino by doing so. It is basically not to make their dealers to feel uncomfortable.

unfortunately i think it is due to many factors, first of all the screen protects you and therefore you are not ashamed, you don't see the person in person and perhaps in person you would be ashamed
second, today's new young people (I'm old) are very rude and disrespectful so this creates the lethal mix.

Nothing new under the sun, actually. Anyone who have spent some time on the internet would realize very quickly that people feel emboldened to be rude and disrespectful when their true identity can be guarded from public scrutiny. What applies on online communities and also applies to service providers like casinos and bookies.
Though, I think a better solution would be for the casino to hire someone who may serve as a moderator for the chat on live gambling games.
An effective and experienced moderator can keep things under control and allow people who have something constructive to say to continue interacting with the dealer and with others in the chat.

Of course, betting platform are not for chat, as you said their main job here is to set bets and determine odds and accept bets, it is not right to see it as a place for general chat.
If a gambler gets into account related problems and faces problems with deposits and odds selection, then it is very important to contact customer care or live support for this, it is not for general chatting here. It is logical from my point of view to control spamming chatting and to maintain discipline by closing the chat site.

There could be several reasons, like I was in an online meeting and everyone was allowed to speak and chat, but after some time everyone got busy chatting with themselves and sometimes started talking. This could also be the reason why there was no opportunity to chat. Again, it could be a way for the casino to gain trust. There could be many reasons, I think. But I don't know the exact reason behind it.

But if you look at it this way, even as it is live, it does not mean you need to interact. For example you are watching match live, do you interact with this commentators? Obviously no. So if you look at it like that, I see no reason why you would question them on this matter. Live just shows how the game is. Everybody can see the same game together. If the chats is even opened, there are some people who will misuse that opportunity. They will start dropping their spam messages and the rest.

I'm not sure you understand his point though, it would be boring to have a game play where I cannot air my opinion on the live chat, since it's even a live game. But since they closed it, it means they don't wish to have any Interactions with the players. Some players messages could be distracting as many might want to exercise their rude behaviours when they bet and lose on the live chat. But then the casino should be able to manage those kind of activities within their own system. I've seen some live games that does have the chat opens for everyone to reply and I don't think there's anything wrong..

From the best of my knowledge this is not something that happens regularly, it only happens when there is a technical issue or the site is undergoing maintenance. When users start using words that they aren't supposed to the casino can either ban a few users temporarily or permanently from the chats and in some cases the chats might be closed to every player when harassing words becomes too much. I was betting on aviator game on a particular casino and for more than 10 rounds players kept on losing repeatedly and this got so many people frustrated, which made them rain insultive words on the casino and after a few minutes I noticed that no one could make a comment.

The games are made live so that people can see and understand that the game being randomized properly. User can understand by watching live that their betting is not being manipulated in any way. There are many players who do not trust a games RNG when a real person shuffle the cards or spins a physical roulette with their hands they trust it easily.

I think the live games are played for transparency and of course the chat is kept turned off so that they do not get busy with the chat instead of playing game.

This feature is disabled to prevent collusion and fraud.

I have personally witnessed instance at multiplayer table such as Blackjack and during card game where, if that chat function remained open player would signal each other regarding their strategy and card.

I think, most casino keep the chat locked to put a stop to such kind of signaling and syndicating.

That is if there is only a small number of people inside the game. But according on my observation, this is not always the case. As when I look at the chat box, it runs super fast that you can not even notice the message that you just wrote, but this must also be the reason on why they just closed it instead. Also keeping it on can contribute to delays in the live video. Another popular reason would be is to prevent spam. This happens too on the social media post or when someone is live, especially if they know that majority hates them.

@alani123, I think you and me knows that live game is a live game and not recorded, delayed, whatsoever... Live games may be better in terms of fairness. Although maybe your point is how can we verify if the game if it is truly live or not. There must be other ways. I think one is by noticing that small circle icon. Usually it is green when it indicates someone or something is online but being in a live broadcast is different. It should now be red is the colour of it.

I think this is purely to minimize several things including the integrity and smoothness of the game, in the live game certainly some parties from the bookie see who we are as players but that does not mean we can be free to communicate because it can make the smoothness of the game disrupted so to avoid this it would be better not to have a live chat feature and respond to anything from what players complain.

Being in a live game does not mean we can freely communicate with the dealer because it is actually not too necessary considering its focus is only playing with several types of games through different visuals and after that when there is a complaint or complaint then there is another part in the live chat without disturbing the live casino and the game that happens.

It is not fair to compare it to watching a match. If you often bet on live games, you will understand why the OP said that. I often play roulette, and interacting directly with the dealer is one of the things that makes it more enjoyable, whether it is joking around with the dealer or chatting with other players.

So if the chat is disabled in live games, it becomes very boring. It is different from watching a match without interacting with the commentators, because we can already enjoy ourselves simply by watching our club play.

I don't understand which casino you are talking about. I have never seen a live casino where there is a dealer where chatting is turned off. Maybe I don't have a broad understanding of gambling and I don't visit many casino sites so I didn't notice it. But I'm interested to hear what the reason behind turning off live chatting might be?
But yes, if someone can express their comments while playing the casino, that would definitely be a good thing. Perhaps the casino site is not very popular and users may comment negatively about it, which may discourage other users, so maybe they turn off live chatting.
