I’m curious how other see this. Is financial flexibility itself a form of wealth?

You’re absolutely right, and that’s why the rich always get richer and the poor get poorer. After all, for example, a rich person can buy products in bulk, which means they’ll pay less per unit, while a poor person will be forced to buy expensive products due to the small‑scale retail. And, of course, the same applies to clothing: a poor person will buy cheap shoes that will last only one season, while a rich person can buy expensive shoes that will last for five seasons, if not ten. The same thing happens with… In the country where I live, they started distributing apartments to people with many children, under the pretext that the poor should start having their own apartments. But it turned out that the apartments were simply bought up by wealthy people with many children.

Rich people with money, buy things way cheaper, because of their choice of market and availability of resources that place them on a special customer class.

Poor with limited resources, are forced to buy thing more expensive due to their limited buying power and unavailability of good markets, which come from they lack of funds, most times they buy goods at blackmarket rate.

Money is important to your buying power, since buying in bulk gives you access to wholesale prices, infact the rich have more access to credit buying since they are creditworthy to their sellers.

Exactly. I agree with you on that, rich people buys things in bulk as a result of resources availability and choice of markets. I mean, the money is there, you have it all planned out why wait?
But for a poor man that has his plans and targets all set -up but yet no money to execute them, he ends up buying things bit by bit and at a high cost. So yes, have money makes decisions and life easier!

No one is poor by their own choice, but their way of thinking makes them poor people.
You will always notice one thing in a poor person: he is always afraid of taking risks, which is why he stays poor his whole life. There is no doubt they also have a good idea of becoming financially free, but they are afraid of taking risks and executing their plans. Always remember one thing: until you execute your plans, your plan will always stay a plan, which makes you an afraid and uncompleted perosn to become a successful person in life.

So, taking risks is a great thing, not bad at all. And remember always, whenever you are going to execute any plan, always follow the best risk management strategies so that you can reduce the risk on you taken steps.

I don't really agree with this. Being afraid of risk doesn't make you poor, and taking risks doesn't mean you are gonna get rich either.

In reality, poor people often have less ability to tolerate risk.  If you only have enough money to cover the basic, one bad decision can put you in a serious mess. Meanwhile, rich person can take the same level of risk much more easily.
And poverty is influenced by many other factors, such as education, employment opportunities, and family background,..Saying people stay poor their whole life just because they're afraid of risk is pretty unfair and kinda look down on them.

Poverty is the result of many factor, not just mindset.

And yes, it is obvious that when you become financially free, taking any decision becomes easy to take in major cases. This is my point of view on this.
Its not for no reason that people say money can solve 80–90% of the problems in life.

Being rich has its benefit, one of them is being so selective in terms of picking an opportunity or a deal about something, meanwhile a poor person that has been seeking for same opportunity for a long time will accept it even though it doesn't completely satisfied all their expectations, I will give an example, two artists in my country were given a contract deal, one of them accepted and the other one rejected, for the other artist that rejected the deal, he is already very rich and popular because he has had more better deal than the one he was offered, while the other person that accepted the offer was happy for seeing such deal for the first time in his entire career.  So, that already answers the question you asked, a poor person is at different disadvantages and that's the cost of being poor.

This is quite an interesting discussion OP, basically from the many replies I read here they agree with that the ownership of money or financial freedom is one of the supporters of our flexibility in making decisions because it has many choices that we can take, both for food, education and even activities that we want to do, while if we only have a, and that's what causes the dilemma and difficult condition of getting out to be a more established person again.

Ease of access and freedom of choice is a form of confidence because we have money in the safe, there are no worries about financing, obviously a benefit that is sometimes not realized, because the real wealth is not just buying in large quantities about an item.

Although money can generally be considered to make it easier for each individual to make decisions regarding logistical problems, however, in my view, money can not only be used as a means for expensive and cheap uses, but if the money is in the hands of wise people, they will use the money for the best things, not cheap and expensive things.

When you have money it can make it easier to make decisions, such as prioritizing money to pay off debts, use it as emergency money and investing in crypto, when you do all that it will automatically make it easier for us to solve problems anddecision.

When a person becomes financially independent, they can make all decisions very quickly and comfortably. Because in real life, money is involved everywhere. When we have financial power, any big problem seems trivial and is easier to tackle. However, even if you have enough savings, you should impose limitations on extra spending. This will prevent waste of money.

The greater savings of wealthy individuals create multiple opportunities for earning money. For example: they can engage in real estate business, which provides a lot of financial freedom. But for poor individuals, these opportunities do not exist. Therefore, comparatively their financial power is lower, and they are deprived of many opportunities.

This is where I find the idea interesting. We often tell people to make better financial decisions but how much of that decision making actually depends on having financial freedom in the first place?
Does having money give people an advantage beyond the money itself because they have more options available for them?
And if that is true, could one of the hidden cost of being poor be that you have fewer opportunities to choose the easier option?

I’m curious how other see this. Is financial flexibility itself a form of wealth?
True, because in this case, the greater a person has his financial space, the more options to consider, including the quality of an item. On the other hand, poor people who have limited financial resources have fewer choices to make.

Not only that, even money can buy time, I'll give you an example:
Rich people can pay for a faster transport to get to their destination, while people who lack money should choose transportation that is cheap and takes longer to get to their destination.

Most of our problems can be solved by money. So, more money, fewer problems, at least for me.

Even with a simple decision, you'd hesitate or think twice before doing it because you don't have the financial capability.

If you really have the means, you would be more courageous in decision making. You don't worry that much even if you fail if you have more money. Being financially capable, most of the time, has an advantage.

Yes being financially capable make things easy for you, it provides you with many options, and for that reason, you'll be the one to select what you want and how you want them.
But the answer to this question is simple, why do people struggle to be wealthy, everyone wishes to be financially okay because they want everything to be very simple and convenient.

When you have money, you don't stress in making purchases, you go straight and get things you need comfortably, op you stressed about getting it bulk which will make things somewhat cheaper, but in some cases that's not what rich people considers, they look at having everything in excess with the aim of not having to bother themselves in buying that again for extended duration.

Yes, money and enough resources to live for a long time could help one make decisions that can change their life.

The job selection part is really true because it is relatable to me. Before, when I did not have cash, I was doing every little job. I was working even on things that were not related to my field. We all study, and we study in a specific field, but many students in financial crisis don't find a good job, so they have to do whatever they find.

So having resources and money can help you delay the final hard decision, and you can find a better job in the meantime.

Money is very important and it definitely makes you make easier decisions. It's true that people with money mainly buys goods cheaper than the poor and that's because they have purchasing power, which makes them buy in larger quantities and also get to pay less, unlike the poor that does not have the purchasing power to buy in large quantities. Money definitely allows you make easier decisions,  because you have a lot of options, so you don't just jump into everything opportunities that comes your way, rahlther you take time to weigh it a pick the best that suits you, especially when it comes to job opportunities.

It's the reality of life that being rich has many benefits, like a rich man making decisions on his own behalf and not depending on opportunities, so he gets success in building a business. On the other hand, a poor man is always struggling to meet basic needs and always waiting for opportunities and when he identifies them, he isn't able to avail them because he deals with the burden of responsibilities. So what's a poor man doing to get rich?

According to me, it's possible, but first we observe the scenario like an artist gets a lot of deals and successful artists choose only one at a one time. those deals they reject become big opportunities for many small artists, here among those who avail this opportunity they have a chance to grow. That's the rule by which our society is run. A poor man should learn modern skills and needs to put in extra effort if he wants to beat poverty. Do you believe poverty hurts poor communities? Yes, it has, because with time, it becomes the identity of people, so to prevent this identity, poor people should make struggles.

Most of the problems in life are financial and every problem seems big and impossible to him.If that person is rich then he will find the problem small because he has the power to solve it.Along with money, a person has every option due to which he considers himself independent. It is exactly like this.Due to the lack of opportunities provided to the poor they remain poor and are not able to develop their personal lives. Your advice is absolutely correct. If you have more money invest it in investments so that you can earn more money and control unnecessary expenses because this also benefits us.This provides freedom and opportunities for development to the person.

Interestingly, I later came up with the idea that the real goal under capitalism is not profit, but freedom, and it’s quantifiable. After all, what is capital accumulation, for example? It’s not actually an end in itself. First, a person earns money to survive. Then a person earns money so they don’t have to skimp on anything, that is, they gain financial freedom. And then, earning money is aimed at gaining even more freedom by taking it away from others (by restricting other people’s freedom). That’s called power.

In essence, power is the surplus of freedom in one person and the lack of it in many. Of course, only a few reach this high level. It turns out that there is a limited amount of freedom in society, which is redistributed among people in proportion to their capital. This means it is impossible to create freedom out of nothing and simply give it to everyone.

Most of our problems can be solved by money. So, more money, fewer problems, at least for me.

I find that this is always going to be subject to context. When you have a lot of money on you, you would have several conflicting decisions on where to best put it because, you wouldn’t want to loose most of it to bad investment decision.

One of the major issues for billionaires is to stay top of the charts on Forbes list, while this might be of little concern to those that haven’t got a lot of money, it’s a problem for those who has.

The middle class or those who doesn’t have a lot of money only the problem of how to best invest and utilize, they don’t have such concerns on Forbes list.

So, it’s always going to be subject to context.

Maybe it doesn't get talked about much because the answer is obvious, like asking is water wet? Those with a fair bit of money have usually accrued it over a lengthy time period and treated it with respect, so they understand how hard it is to acquire. If you've always been scraping around and had little money to use, sometimes you can end up wasting it on frivolous things like fast food deliveries. It's illogical but I see it all the time, those with not very much splashing out on treats when they could really be using that money in a much more efficient way. The rich however will usually have an idea of what something costs before jumping in, so are prepared for it. Like going to an upscale restaurant where the average bill can be many hundreds of dollars, it's unfathomable to someone on minimum wage but there is no shock factor when you're financially secure and know what you're going to spend in an evening. These two sets of people are making radically different spending decisions each day and it's almost hard to compare.

A person who has enough money has the ability to take all kinds of risks. So he has more opportunities and can utilize those opportunities. If a person has limited funds, then he will have to think a lot before making any investment. He should give more priority to the issue of risk because if he invests his limited funds and face losses , he will be financially ruined. But a person who has enough money and has discretionary funds lying around unnecessarily can take any risk if he wants. Even if it is just for experimenting, he can invest without wasting any time. Due to this, he is definitely benefited. He may have profited by taking risks in a business. Later, that person invested in those sectors with more time and his business grew. This is possible only because of the availability of funds. To be successful in any investment, first of all there must need money to invest, then his skills and experience. The combination of these three makes any investment successful, where money plays main role.

Rich guy buys $500 boots that last ten years. Poor guy buys $100 boots every year or two, spends more over the decade, and still has wet feet. There's this saying in my country that "what you buy cheaply, you pay expensively."

And yes, flexibility is wealth. Being broke is basically a subscription with the worst pricing tier: overdraft fees, payday loans and the $80 car repair you skipped that became $2,000. Poverty is expensive, it just never sends an invoice.

Nowadays money is everything, I used to hear everyone say this but I didn't believe it, but for the past few days I have been running around the hospitals and I can see how much money is being spent and if I had more money I would definitely go to a better hospital and not suffer like this. All this together makes me feel that money is everything.

If someone has money then he can definitely buy everything and if he owns a lot of money then he can definitely enjoy all the benefits, especially in my country. Every person needs to earn a lot of money and save it through proper financial management.
