Nope, i've not received any such PM from that user, and if i did i'd just report it and allow the admin to take care of it. I'm not sure if that account is trolling or is serious, looks to be the former to me. They also wanted you to "earn" free merits, lol, so if it is was actually free, they would have simply gone to your post history and sent merits to posts you've previously made, my best guess is, it's a troll.

In the past I have posted about unsolicited PMs that I had received. If the receiver decides that there is no problem in posting a screenshot as it was unsolicited then that is a decision for the receiver to make. Why would a member send a PM to offer merits? In a case such as this, citing a violation of privacy seems inappropriate and unnecessary.

HustleZ check my Feedback you will understand which position you're right now. Also you're exposing PM like it's nothing, you're violating another person's privacy , although I don't know if this has been all made up by you or not. You could have share this info via PM , If anyone had any doubt regarding this issue.

OP you would have asked him why has he not given the merit to himself so he can ran up to full member since he has enough merit to share to members for free.
His a scammer and his not even good in that regard.
The rules of this forum says that “Sending unsolicited PMs, including but not limited to advertising and flood, is not allowed.”
Next time when you receive message like this just report it to Mod.

Op,You would have played along and figured out exactly what his intentions is all about. based on the question he asked you, he might be a scammer, using alt account to test your knowledge...The only mistake you made, you would have allow a rabbit to come out from the hole before you reacted..

And risk maybe falling for the "rabbit's" trap? What if OP had decided to entertain this conversation for a while longer to find out more about the person only to later find a thread like this one where the 'rabbit' is accusing him being willing to get involved with a merit farm. OP was smart to have come out to say what was happening to him, he would have had am impossible time explaining his way out of it if he had ended up being accused.

Well i didnt know i would be the one to stumble upon this but i have gotten a PM from. MrEazyLife and he has offered me 20 merits, has asked me if i needed 20 free merits and i would classify this as offering merits which i believe is discouraged on the forum, he sent me a PM on 8 September sadly i saw it now so im reporting late. The user is a Nigerian and i have checked his posts which are not Ai also his merit summary doesn’t look suspicious but i believe he will have many ALTs because how would he provide me 20 merits if he himself has 23….

This is interesting OP, receiving this kind of pm from another user is really against the forum rules and regulations but if this particular user sent you such message directly to you, for me is best you ignore after reading the whole thing because he or she can never force you to accept what you don't like and you already said it that he offered you 20 merit to fall for whatever game he or she wants to play which you refused, it shows that the user has been doing this business for long, the person is just gathering members to play to his tune and you declined which I respect about your decision but here comes the question, why open a thread if is not the same merit you are looking for from the public? Because you have already dealt with the situation at hand by not accepting the offer, hope you are getting me? Opening a thread like this is like showing up for people to see that you are dusting out the bad eggs on the forum, is good but brother to me is still the same way but on your own path you want the merit to be given to your post by some of the rep members in a legal way, nobody wants his hands dirty we know, there's time for everything, one day something will come up and you get to provide all you dropped here, for now I don't think you should have bothered. And the user is a Nigerian, always easy to call out Nigerians because the user might be on that section of the forum posting in English that is now the major language whereas we should be using pigin language, only if that have been happening bad eggs won't have been messing up and coming to our local board to hide.

What do you mean by me not defending myself?? @MrEazyLife should be the one defending himself for sending a PM like that. As for me buying into his offer then i think i have explained it and i will say again that i could not have risked it being a luring method to see who was willing to “earn” or “exchange” merits and if i had ever said that i was “fake buying” into that no one here would’ve believed me considering what little reputation i have and what people around me had been doing in the Local.

First i will clear that i have no grudges with nigerian community or their people, they are really hardworking people and i appreciate them. but being nigerian doesn’t mean you will violate rules and do whatever you want to. I didn’t open this thread because i wanted merit but because i wanted to prove myself innocent before something had happened. You talking that i posted this only for merit just tells about your mentality and if it was that then we shouldn’t even post, because ultimately your goal is to earn merit? No, not every post is for merit you have to understand. Some is for reputation, and i didn’t wanted to lack behind in that as our community is previously been defamed for having alts and merit exchanges. It doesn't matter who first create a thread....what matters is the facts, the evidence your thread is carrying, secondly, someone can't be accused anyone without evidence, and nobody is accusing anyone, We are just tendering our own personal opinions..what you seems as accusations is a personal opinion based on experience of what has happened in this forum before...Sometimes we discuss here with reference.

Assuming he played along for awhile, he would have gathered a lot of information and proves to present, but the proves he has are slight, but that doesn't mean that he did do well, by letting the public know about it..but it would have be more better assuming more concrete evidence were tendered..

This is definitely an alternative account of someone but you would have been patient enough to get the full offer because he will not make the offer without some conditions attached. Assuming you pretended to be interested,  then he will reveal the full offer and possible other accounts connected to his farm so that some DT members would have done the forum a great service.

That’s true, probably because that person received red tags or signature ban therefore he’s now trying to squeeze every last thing from his alt account. Your idea is very interesting to let him reveal the whole story and shows him the other account. But, it’s also a risk for the OP if someone else noticed the deal of purchasing merits and he will face bad consequences before he explains everything, probably some people won’t believe even that story later.

People who are seriously saying the OP should have continued the conversation to reveal the rest connected accounts, that’s a risky thing to do, in my opinion that’s enough. We all know that any merit exchange will get caught eventually and both sides are going to receive a negative tag.

Honestly I'm not referring to you as one who says bad about we Nigerians, I'm only blaming the way things are in our local board because is painful how bad thing get and they point it to we Nigerians without finding out if the user is truly Nigerian, if I never said it properly I apologize. Having seen how people act in the forum is just annoying to even consider them when caught doing the wrong thing. See nobody is saying you did wrong, now you brought it here some persons have different opinions about the whole thing, you have your evidence with you which shows you never encourage the merit idea of the other user so if he comes and start saying rubbish about you then you flush him out but for now I don't think it should have been brought out, your move means you discouraged his or her idea. That is how things are, you caught a thief and you get rewarded, sorry but that is it. I have gone through some of your post history and am confident this "HustleZ" account is not the only one you are operating. How many accounts are you operating here?

I am not making this conclusion based on the fact you regularly post in the Pakistan board, it is based more on the posting patterns that align with farmed accounts.

I wouldnt classify this as a coincidence, this user as i said was new to the forum and would post that he needs guidance, and the two posts he made regarding him needing help i had replied to him by giving him beneficial information. So i dont know, But it “Can” be a way he tried to appreciate my attention. Besides, i dont control who gives me merit nor i know anyone’s intentions.

Now this is a clear picture from another angle, didn't really thought about this especially the reputation aspect. It can only work when he involved a third party before going ahead but the third party must also have reputation. I think it's not really worth the risk than just ignoring such then.

Well, if you set out to find someone who sells or "gives" their merits for something, you can easily do it behind the scenes. There are people, third parties, who will witness it, not participate, but observe. And then, all explanations that the recipient of merit is at the same time with the seller will be meaningless. In fact, I wonder why these people who offer something for sale through the PM don't think about it. And yes, you don't just have to ignore such PM; then these "brave souls" will have doubts about who, what and how to offer.

I am not oblivious to what is happening in the world, I can understand the motivation that drives some people from particular countries or those finding themselves in a particular predicament to create numerous accounts in the forum with the aim of monetising them because of the economic pressures they are suffering in real life.

Having said that, if you found an account that had the same post history as yours especially when looking at the some of the early posts, would you be inclined to give them the benefit of the doubt (if there was a doubt)?

I am not oblivious to what is happening in the world, I can understand the motivation that drives some people from particular countries or those finding themselves in a particular predicament to create numerous accounts in the forum with the aim of monetising them because of the economic pressures they are suffering in real life.

You are completely right and that is the reason most people of countries like Pakistan have been caught in alt accounts and farming, but when i say i dont it wont be believable as who here would believe me if everyone else like me is doing it. The only thing different from other people that i have is, that im a student right now and i can not afford to give more than 1 or 1 1/2 hours to the forum because it will affect my studies. This can be proved when you look my recent posts and will notice that i mostly post between 10-11PM pkt as this is the only free time i get before sleeping. Well i went too personal but it is what it is. When i joined the forum i was free and this was the place i invested my time in. So if i cant give more than one hour how will i be able to run several accounts

Having said that, if you found an account that had the same post history as yours especially when looking at the some of the early posts, would you be inclined to give them the benefit of the doubt (if there was a doubt)?

Im not saying that you are wrong but if you judge people based on things that can become really common is not quite best. Talking about my earlier posts then a beginner could easily see what is going around in the forum and thread and try to copy it. Any big user that i saw at that time had made an introductory post to guide them so i tried to copy them and did the same, so now will you say that im an alt of that other person just because i made an introductory post?? Just an example. So that is why you cant form a connection between two accounts just on the basis of really common things that are done by every ordinary account, and user. The things that you can form a connection is the specific spelling mistake, repeating of same words and other things that can be done on a personal level.

I dont think you would believe me, but i have replied as honestly and sincerely as possible. ( that’s what everyone would say which makes my honesty less believable )

Ps: if i had alts or done any other suspicious activity then i wouldnt have opened this thread considering what happened to “CryptoYar” after his merit source application and would have maintained low-profile
