So according to this situation which one would be better? I wants some actuall numbers not promises.
What I think is the major player in deciding which should be better here is the one that has high chance of retaining the value or purchasing power of the capital involved, your interest rate seem to be very nice though from the explanation you did. However, there is no way someone that has enjoyed from the bitcoin resistance to inflation will keep fiat for any reason. Personally I’ll still keep bitcoin instead of putting my trust in any fiat as it’s store less value in the real sense.

Holding Fiat money is a total waste of resources and strength in the long-term. The level of inflation happening globally is on the rise and no matter the currency, this inflation is everywhere and it's even worse for some currencies. Choosing bitcoin will be a better option here since you seem to be interested in keeping the amount for a long time.

Saving your money in bitcoin will help you have an edge over inflation and also grants to authority over your money. Over the years we have seen that no fiat has performed better than bitcoin and accepting an 11% interest when you can have over 100% interest or more or less in the long term will not be a good option. It is true that nothing is certain and there's no promises of how much gain your bitcoin would generate, but self custody is gold and you will not face a level of government influence and charges on your money.

I'd rather not put it this way: Bank or BTC. You can actually make it Bank and BTC. It doesn't hurt to diversify. On the contrary, it's highly recommended.

Anyway, 11.5% on your FDR is quite high, something I might not find here in my country. But I'm sure it's heavily taxed, right? Is it 20%, 25%? And what if you need to cash out before the maturity? The computation could even turn to lower than 1%, correct? Or what if the bank goes bankrupt or unstable before the maturity? Or your government suddenly facing hyperinflation?

Or what if Bitcoin doesn't 2x or 3x in the next 4 years?

There will be risks in everything, so I guess it's better not to focus on "which one would be better". They have their own strengths and weaknesses. What's probably best is to take advantage of them all.

As to Bitcoin, nobody could give you actual numbers or promises. Invest at your own risk. Unlike your FDR, you won't be signing a contract. You won't be getting a certificate with guarantees. Invest at your own risk.
I have never thought that an interest in a bank could be that high. All the time, I thought that Bitcoin is always the winner on this regard. But with that high interest some bank can offer, I am pretty sure that there is also a catch with that.

I can believe more in Bitcoin that it will only rise at the long run despite of its active volatility. Bitcoin's nature is also decentralized, which means we can withdraw anytime we need the money. Bitcoin is basically like a bank already, therefore there is no need for an actual bank anymore. And If I am going to diversify my funds, I will only do it on other investment instruments, so that they don't share the same risks. High interest rate alone cannot convince me to choose traditional banking, I mean, if in future, there could be a possibility of decentralized bank which deals with fiats, then I may consider and definitely not with the current traditional banking.

I'm getting 11.5% interest on my FDR right now , within 6-7 years my investment will be 100% in profit if I do not cashout.
I'm getting a 10.5% Interest on my DPS , Which I save money in monthly basis. Interest rate drops and increases however it's always around 10% .

So if I invested on BTC I would likely get a 2x - 3x on next bull season. If I count it as 4 year cycle then to make next leg up I would need 4 whole years sitting my fund.

But If I approch this way , depositing my interest from DPS on BTC won't be bad. Making free money from free money.

So according to this situation which one would be better? I wants some actuall numbers not promises.

Using the rule of 72, which provides a quick method to estimate the time needed for an investment to double, we can determine that 72 ÷ 11.5 indicates it will take approximately 6.3 years for your 11.5% investment in FDR to double, while the 10.5% DPS will require around 6.9 years. However, Bitcoin has showcase outperformed in every cycle, achieving at least 6x returns.
Your concept of using free money to generate more free money is quite intriguing, as some people are blind to it, calling BTC a fraud.

Your belief is backed by Bitcoin price history. Let's see these charts for Bitcoin and satoshi.

Bitcoin's nature is also decentralized, which means we can withdraw anytime we need the money.
The decentralization of Bitcoin is not relate with ability of withdraw your bitcoin. It depends on where you store your bitcoin, and let's be strictly with your word "withdraw", it is more likely for withdrawal from centralized exchanges. Because if you store your bitcoin in self custodial wallets, you fully access private keys, and can broadcast your Bitcoin transactions anytime from private keys.

Interest rate can change every year, 6-7 years long to double your investment might probably not enough and it will take you longer or maybe double than that.

Here is the reason why...

Inflation will highly affect this calculation.
Let's say that the inflation rate will be like this:
2026 - 8%
2027 - 9%
2028 - 7.5%
2029 - 8.5%
2030 - 9.5%
2031 - 6.5%
2032 - 5.5%

If your annual interest rate is 11.5%, your real return will be calculated if you less the inflation rate each year to the annual interest rate.
So the earned 11.5% annually doesn't mean you are becoming richer and found a way to beat the system. You definitely increase in numbers, but you are losing in terms of purchasing power.

Let's assume that the average inflation rate for 7years is 8%,
And if you happen to invest 100k in your currency with 11.5% return annually,
That would more than 200k in 6-7years, but it's purchasing power would be around 130k in todays value.

You indeed double your money (in numbers), but the issue is its purchasing power after 7 years.

That's correct, at 11.5%, your capital will double in 6 years or close to that, according to the rule of 72. BTC right now is around $78,000, down about 38% from its ATH of $126,000 (October 2025). Looking at past cycles, the multiplier seems to be decreasing every cycle: 2018 to 2021 was around 21x; 2022 to 2025 was around 8x. Hoping for a 2-3x next cycle isn't a lowball estimate, it's realistic.

The upside potential is there, but with a drawdown risk of 40-77% along the way (2022 alone saw a -77% drawdown). FDR doesn't carry that kind of risk.

In fact, your idea of investing your DPS interest in BTC while keeping the principal safe in the bank is the smarter move, rather than going all-in with your principal into BTC. So the question is, can you tolerate the loss of 50% of your portfolio before (possibly) making a comeback? Not financial advice, just looking at past data, DYOR.

With the rate of inflation in my country, I doubt if I'll hold a huge amount of money in my bank cause that's a waste of time, it's a better I put my money into an asset that would give it more value with time. Keeping money in the bank means that I'll have to pay them charges for holding my money.

However if my money is stored in Bitcoin, there would be no charges fee deducted from it, I'll gain more as time goes and I'll also have self custody of my own money and use it as it suits me unlike bank that do limit customers daily usuage cause of policies.

Before you consider bank interest to be okay for some years, I want you to think about the devaluation of your country's currency in years time. Will it be the same when your interest has reached the expected year? I do know that a country's currency does devalue over the course of years. Whatever is being sold today, in a few years, the price must have doubled or tripled. If it is Bitcoin you have your money on for the next 4 years, you will be looking at the profits you are to make, which are higher than the interest the bank will be returning to you for 6 years.

However, with what everyone has said, the decision is on you to take on the one that is best suited for you "Bitcoin or bank interest"

You may feel very fortunate to be earning interest on your money through a savings account. But perhaps you haven’t realized that there is a hidden tax on the fiat currency you save in the bank. And you may not be aware that the real value of the fiat currency you hold will erode due to inflation, where you can check the annual inflation rate analysis to see this for yourself (Source). On the other hand the ongoing printing of paper money can also reduce the value of fiat currency. And I think there are still many more factors you should consider to understand the shortcomings of fiat currency. As for Bitcoin we don’t know for sure how much profit will be made in the long term. And that depends on the personal experience of each Bitcoin holder starting from the entry price at which or they began buying it. But the potential for a significant price increase in Bitcoin which is highly likely to occur around the halving cycle could be very profitable roughly every 4 years. There are no hidden taxes associated with holding Bitcoin. And you don’t have to take on double the risk with your Bitcoin because you’re the only one who actually holds it, where there’s no third party involved. Bitcoin’s supply also cannot be printed like fiat currency, where its supply is strictly limited with no strings attached. So I personally believe that Bitcoin is the best choice from every angle. And you also don’t have to worry about a bank potentially going bankrupt.

This is not easy to calculate because nobody know what will happen in his or her country in the next 4 or more years. The country may have huge inflation or the inflation in the country will not be really significant. But it is good for people to think of inflation and not let the percentage on interest to deceive them. I think investing in bitcoin will be better than bank savings.

Over here in Nigeria, I have used a microfinance bank offering a 15% - 18% yield depending on the lock up time, with an auto-compounding added feature. And, if you want to question it's legitimacy, the name of the microfinance bank is Opay, you can go look it up. It even offers 22% short term lock up for first time investments.

I think these interest rates varies from country to country, in my country with high inflation rate, a 10% APR is quite low.
I know Opay as a good fintech bank but its status is always controversial. I don't know why it's always on the news. Today, it's winding up, tomorrow it's still there. That has made so many Nigerians use them for day to day transactions and not for long term services.

If they give up 15% interest, it's a good one and worthy to be tried.

If you want to save for the long term, then investing in Bitcoin can be profitable.
So who is the most suitable for Bitcoin video Those who have the desire to save but do not have a large lump sum. For example, here you are saving on a monthly basis in your DPS. Yes, there are people among us who are not able to earn enough but they have a minimum amount of discretionary income, if they invest in the DCA method and maintain the fund for a long time, they can eventually benefit.
As the saying goes, if you do not have your wealth in your hands, you will never consider it as your own wealth. Yes, when you deposit money in the bank, it is clear that it is not in your hands, it is stored with a third party, but if you do Bitcoin, then your Bitcoin video is limited.
So, considering everything, people can save in different ways to get the position and needs of people. However, I would say that there is no need to save all the money in the same way, if someone wants, they can also deposit money through a bag along with investing in Bitcoin.

I can't suggest you to stick to bank or go for bitcoin but I would like to clarify something. There's nothing like free money anywhere. The interest is not actually free as you assumed because you rent out your capital. If its free money, you won't need to lock your capital before earning it.

Moreover, have you considered the inflation rate in those periods before calculating your profits? Because inflation rate can affect your real return at the end of the year. If you're after profit, that's not the right choice but if you're after capital preservation, then you have made the right choice. BTC can give much bigger profit but it is more risky and volatile.

Judging by your own analysis I don't even think you need someone to tell you which is the better option here, it might seem riskier but it's obvious investing in bitcoin will give you more in arguably even shorter time, give it the whole 6-7 years and it could even go higher.
I will assume you are investing in bitcoin yet and if that's they case then your idea of transferring whatever you get from your FDR and DPS to bitcoin and watch your money grow for you.

In the bank, you may get double the amount from FDR after 6-7 years, but how much will your fiat currency suffer due to inflation? Will it be in line with inflation? Or will you benefit if you calculate inflation? Inflation is increasing very fast these days, if inflation doubles in 6-7 years, you basically do not get any profit.

In the long term, Bitcoin will protect you from inflation. Many people think that keeping money in the bank is relatively safe, but banks are still far behind in terms of privacy and freedom. Even I am familiar with incidents like bank harassment. Keeping money in the bank is also risky like Bitcoin due to incidents like being cheated by the bank or declaring bankruptcy or getting hacked by the bank. But since banks are a traditional financial system, people have strong faith in banks, which is not the case with Bitcoin.

Excluding inflation, both investment markets seem profitable, you can enter both markets. Since you are already reporting the money received from DPS as free money, I can call that money discretionary money. And Bitcoin investment requires discretionary money. So I don't see anything wrong with investing with the interest received from DPS.

I'm getting 11.5% interest on my FDR right now , within 6-7 years my investment will be 100% in profit if I do not cashout.
I'm getting a 10.5% Interest on my DPS , Which I save money in monthly basis. Interest rate drops and increases however it's always around 10% .

7 years which means the money can't be move. I don't know the terms and conditions of your bank but anything that makes you want to liquidate your investment, you are either going to be charge or you get less of what you are expecting. There is always a penalty for investment lock up like this. They look sweet but what do you do when you have an emergency for your investment, 7 years look good on paper but it's a very long period of time. Not worth it.

Quote
So if I invested on BTC I would likely get a 2x - 3x on next bull season. If I count it as 4 year cycle then to make next leg up I would need 4 whole years sitting my fund.

But If I approch this way , depositing my interest from DPS on BTC won't be bad. Making free money from free money.

So according to this situation which one would be better? I wants some actuall numbers not promises.

Who told you that you will likely get 3x? You just assume but it make sense that you reduce your expectations. If we go by your logic, by that 7 years you should experience 2 bull run because we do have pre pump after the halving. You never can tell but you are going to get a decent profit investment in Bitcoin than you are going to get from that bank investment. The advantage is you don't even have to lock your money, your Bitcoin is liquid all through the year which means you can sell.

He posted 2 to 3x and not 3x.

Bitcoin is still at $76000 right now, there is a very high probability that bitcoin will get to $152000 and also increase more than that in the next bull run.

Although, I like the other part of your post which let people know the disadvantage of fiat.

Using the past to judge the present, Bitcoin is better because it gave bigger return on investment. However, there is no guarantee that such massive ROI will be recorded in coming years because there is now serious interest in Bitcoin with a lot of big capitals invested in it.  But if we add inflation on diat saved in the bank, Bitcoin should definitely be better.

Since, I found out about bitcoin and started my bitcoin investment, I don't keep or save money in the bank anymore. All my savings are put into bitcoin using DCA weekly. I love it that way because bitcoin is an asset that increase in value overtime and a long term store of value. While, fiat losses its purchasing power overtime. This makes even your profit from you savings in the bank useless because your profit will diminish overtime even when your funds are still locked. The decentralized nature of bitcoin makes it superb because you have full control over your funds any time and any day.
