Sounds very smart but on what grounds? If you want privacy it should be total privacy and not partial right? Because why would one seek privacy through address rotation when you are using a CEX where you data’s are at the mercy of the operator and however if the worst comes to worst which you might be avoiding they can freeze or confiscate your coin leaving you with no real privacy as you desired or if a high authority demands your tracks or transactions then you had no privacy.
But the question is privacy against who? There are reasons for which people have to use CEX, this is the most regulated and clean way to get fiat. If you want fiat in your name, and you fully declare it and all then you want your name associated with those transactions and coins. That makes it easier to prove everything. But even if I want that, I don't want people that I send some money to or pay something to know everything that I own. So if I send someone some money from an address that is related to my CEX address, then they could investigate this address and maybe find out other transactions or coins that I have. This is even worse when people use an exchange that does not let you generate a new address and they have been using it for a long time. They can expose all of their deposit history since they began using the exchange by sending money from an address that is related to this. So you won't have total privacy which is not a goal of this, but you will have partial privacy and it is important. We have seen many people get attacked physically for having crypto in recent years.
It's because majority of us use CEX mostly because we got onto the crypto currency market newly and know nothing about DEX or we use CEX for convenience sake. Hence why I thought this as a smart way to evade scammers or hackers easily and be more private, without me giving a thought for demands of personal data by higher authority as in the government for certain reasons.
In a big data leak by a CEX we are safer because we are one small user out of millions. Leaking privacy to strangers directly and individually is worse because it makes us direct targets. If someone is already using a CEX for some reason, then they should do stuff like things to protect themselves.
