What is ParnianCoin?
ParnianCoin is a fork of PascalCoin 5.4, maintained in Delphi. About 20-30% of the infrastructure and services differ from upstream. Credit to the PascalCoin developers.

The main idea: you do not need a desktop client. You can create an account, hold PARC, mine and trade entirely from the web.

[GUIDE] Getting Started with ParnianCoin (PARC) — Wallet, Pool & Mining Setup

This is a step-by-step guide for anyone new to ParnianCoin who wants to create a wallet and start mining PARC.

PART 1 — CREATING YOUR WEB WALLET
═══════════════════════════

Unlike most PascalCoin-based projects, ParnianCoin does not require installing a desktop client. Everything happens through the web wallet.

1. Go to the wallet site: https://wallet.parniancoin.com
2. Click "Sign up" / "Create account".
3. Choose how you want to log in:
   - Email + password, or
   - Google OAuth, or
   - Microsoft OAuth
4. If using email, verify your address via the confirmation link sent to your inbox.
5. Once logged in, the wallet will generate an encrypted key pair for you automatically. This key is created and stored securely tied to your account — you don't need to manage key files manually.
6. Your public key / account number will be shown on your dashboard. This is the address you'll use to receive PARC (for example, from mining payouts).

Logging back in later:
- Just go to https://wallet.parniancoin.com and sign in with the same method (email/password or OAuth) you used to register.

3. Make sure you have your wallet public key/account ready (from Part 1) — this is what you'll mine to.

PART 4 — SETTING UP THE MINER

ParnianCoin uses a customized fork of rhminer, adapted for the PARC network.

1. Download the miner from:

2. Extract it to a folder of your choice.
3. Edit the config (or use command-line flags) to point to the pool:
   - Pool address: [stratum.parniancoin.ir:38008 — get this from the pool page]
   - Your wallet public key as the worker/username
   - Optional worker name to identify your rig (e.g. yourname.rig1)
4. Example launch command (adjust to your OS/build):

5. Run the miner. You should see it connect to the pool and start submitting shares.

- No desktop wallet installation is needed at any point — the web wallet handles key management.
- Hardware requirements are modest; you don't need specialized/high-end equipment to start.
- The network is newly launched, so difficulty is currently low — this is a good time to start mining with less competition.

Got it — so the real issue is the account ID format in -su. For ParnianCoin/PascalCoin-based mining, the account should be a valid numeric account number with checksum, in the format ACCOUNT-CHECKSUM (e.g. 123456-78), not a hex/alphanumeric string like px32a23c3eed9b03a2.
So the correct command should look something like:

Replace 123456-78 with your actual account number on the network (you can find/create one from your wallet). The .rig1 part after it is just an optional worker/rig name tag, that part is fine as is.
You can check/find your account number by logging into the wallet at wallet.parniancoin.com — your account (with its checksum, e.g. 123456-78) will be shown there. Use that exact number in your -su parameter instead of the string you had.

public key is changed

Same root problem as before: you're putting a full public key (the long CA02... hex string) in -su instead of a proper account number. The stratum server needs an account ID in the ACCOUNT-CHECKSUM.rigname format (e.g. 123456-78.rig1), not a raw public key.
Also worth noting: the key in the two log lines is different (CA0220007C0BA... in the "User" line vs CA0220007B33B3... in the "Net" line) — that mismatch suggests the miner is auto-generating/changing the key on its own because a valid account wasn't set, not that something changed correctly on your end.
Fix: log into wallet.parniancoin.com, get the actual account number (with checksum, like 123456-78), and use that in -su instead of the public key.

It took me a little bit to get the pool name, port number, and wallet name to be set correctly so that it will let me connect. I've seen a couple different setups up until this point but this is what works for me. I kept getting an error message saying that I was not authorized to connect.

Some miners could not save their account settings (public key, minimum payout, notification preferences) on the pool website. In some cases the pool's stats API also returned 502 errors for a short time.

Root cause

• The pool crashed when the public key field contained characters outside the Base58 alphabet. This took the API offline until it restarted automatically.
• The settings password check was too strict for miners running multiple threads, so it sometimes rejected a valid password.
• The pool did not read the standard Stratum password field (-pw).

Fixes deployed

• An invalid public key now returns a clear error message instead of crashing the server.
• The standard -pw field is now read correctly.
• The web wallet now shows your public key directly in Base58 format, so no conversion is needed.

How mining and pool settings work now

1. Mining only: nothing to change. Use your account number with -pw x:

2. If you also want to edit your pool settings (minimum payout, notifications):

• Replace x with a password of your choice, e.g. -pw MySecret123. This password only protects your pool settings. It is not your wallet password.
• Let the miner run until at least one share is accepted.
• Get your Base58 public key from wallet.parniancoin.com under Wallet > "Your Public Key (Base58)". Do not use the longer hex key shown above it; the pool will reject it.
  
• Open your account settings on pool.parniancoin.com, paste the Base58 public key, enter the same password you used in -pw, and save.

✨ What's new in 2.4

• Smart Auto-Port (new). Use :auto instead of a port number. The miner measures its real hashrate for about a minute. It then connects to the pool port whose starting difficulty matches your machine, and re-checks every few minutes. You never have to pick a port again. The active port is always shown in the log.
• Zero installation. All libraries are built into the executable. Windows builds use only system DLLs. The Linux build runs on practically any distribution (glibc 2.17+: Ubuntu 16.04+, Debian 9+, CentOS 7+).
• Security hardening. The remote API is disabled by default and bound to 127.0.0.1 when enabled. API password checks are constant-time. Passwords are no longer written to the log. A buffer overflow in the API request reader was fixed.
• Transparent by design. The miner never hides its window. It has no hidden dev pool and 0% developer fee: 100% of your hashrate mines for your own account.
• Out of beta. Rewritten help (-help), ready-to-use config.txt and start scripts for Windows and Linux.

• -help: all options.

🛡 About antivirus warnings

Most antivirus products flag every cryptocurrency miner as "CoinMiner / PUA / Riskware", because malware often installs miners secretly. parnianminer does not install itself, does not hide its window and does not run without you. If your antivirus complains, verify the SHA-256 checksum above, and add an exception for the miner folder only if the checksum matches.

Important: please update to parnianminer v2.4 (released 2026/09/23) first. Older versions will not connect to the new stratum server.

Algorithm: ParnianCoin uses RandomHash2, the same PoW as PascalCoin (v5+). parnianminer is our fork of rhminer.

Why you got the error: port 38009 is the node's built-in miner server, not a stratum endpoint, so -su/-pw authorization fails there. Please use our stratum pool instead:

Under the hood: how ParnianCoin works (and why you mine to an account number)

A few miners in this thread tried to mine to a public key or an address and got "not authorized". That is not a bug — it comes from the design ParnianCoin inherits from PascalCoin. Here is a short technical overview.

1. Accounts instead of addresses (the SafeBox)
Most coins track unspent outputs (UTXO) sent to addresses. ParnianCoin, like PascalCoin, keeps a SafeBox: a table of numbered accounts, each with a balance and an owner public key.

• Every account has a number plus a checksum, e.g. 7-94. The checksum protects against typos.
• A public key owns accounts; it is not the account itself.
• That is why the pool needs ACCOUNT-CHECKSUM.worker in -su, not a hex public key.

The SafeBox also means a node does not need the whole history to know the current state of all balances, which keeps nodes light.

2. RandomHash2 — CPU-oriented proof-of-work
ParnianCoin uses RandomHash2, the same PoW as PascalCoin v5. Each nonce is hashed through a randomly chosen chain of different hash algorithms with memory-dependent steps. This favors general-purpose CPUs over specialized hardware, so an ordinary desktop or laptop can still contribute meaningfully.

3. Units
PARC is the main unit; TAR is the smallest unit (1 PARC = 10,000 TAR), the same scale as PASC/Molina.

4. Reward split (transparent)
Of each 100 PARC block reward, 20 PARC goes to the developer fund at protocol level and 80 PARC to the miner. The pool adds a 0.5% fee on the miner's part. The miner software itself has no fee.

5. Infrastructure
• Node: Delphi codebase, Windows and Linux64 builds
• Web wallet: create a key and receive an account without installing a desktop client
• Explorer: rebranded fork of the PascalCoin Vue explorer
• Pool: variable difficulty on all ports; parnianminer 2.4 can pick the port automatically (:auto)
• Pool payouts: every 10 minutes for blocks with 100+ confirmations
