Hello everyone

We are seeking community support for an open-source project. It is called Mobazha. It is a decentralized P2P marketplace. Built for independent stores and peer-to-peer commerce. It is an open-source fork of OpenBazaar. OpenBazaar stopped operating in 2021. But decentralized commerce cannot stop.

Why we need community support

OpenBazaar stopped operating in early 2021. OB1 shut down the wallets, APIs, search engine and website. The entire network died with it. But its vision — a marketplace with no middlemen, no platform fees, and sellers who truly own their stores — is still valuable.

Mobazha inherits the OB1 vision. Our CEO fengzie spent more than three years. 80 to 90 percent of work and weekend time. To set up the whole decentralized network again. The backend infrastructure was enhanced. The frontend was updated from complex HTML templates to a modern Vue tech stack.

The app is almost ready. We have contacted two local medium ecommerce vendors. One provides T shirts bags cups and photo frames with worldwide customization support. The other provides high-end custom dolls. The test version is now live. You can open it directly in your browser. No client download required.

But to bring this platform to the real market. And get more merchants and users on board. We still need community support.

What the funds will be used for

This community fundraiser has no minimum. And no maximum. All financial usage will be published via our official Telegram channel. The planned usage is roughly as follows.

50 percent for marketing and merchant recruitment.
30 percent for core protocol development and payment adapter expansion.
10 percent for security audits and infrastructure costs.
10 percent for community building and multilingual documentation.

What our product is

Mobazha is a fully decentralized marketplace protocol. It connects buyers and sellers directly. No middlemen. No central servers. A seller owns the store and its commercial history. While choosing which markets services and interfaces to connect.

Most online marketplaces bundle the storefront discovery checkout data and customer relationship inside one operator. Mobazha separates them. The open-source Mobazha Node is the commerce engine. And the source of truth for store and transaction state. It can publish products. Receive and fulfill orders. Verify supported payments. Communicate with buyers. Preserve transaction history on a backend chosen by the operator.

Three operating paths.

Hosted Start quickly while a service operator runs the backend under published terms.
Self-hosted Run the Node on infrastructure you control.
Hybrid Keep the store backend independent. While opting into selected discovery payment delivery and other services.

Market Gap and Our Value

Traditional e-commerce has several long-standing problems.

Commissions are too high. Amazon charges 8 to 15 percent. Consumer electronics often 15 percent. eBay effective rates reach 15 to 18 percent. Etsy takes 10 to 13 percent per sale. On domestic platforms food delivery merchants face 25 to 30 percent combined take rates. One merchant reported 30 percent of every 100 yuan in sales goes to advertising. With other fees total platform costs reach 40 to 50 percent. Customer acquisition costs for small merchants exceed 40 percent of revenue. Traffic costs keep rising.

Funds are trapped. SMEs have 30 to 40 percent slower capital turnover than large enterprises. Much of their money is not tied up in supply chain credit terms but trapped in the payment system. Cross-border payments take 3 to 5 days. In a high interest rate environment this increases inventory pressure.

Data risk. Centralized platforms hold all user transaction data. In 2025 Korean e-commerce platform Coupang suffered a massive data breach affecting 33.7 million user accounts. Leaked information included usernames phone numbers emails delivery addresses and purchase details.

Platform dependency. OpenBazaar raised 9.25 million USD from a16z and Union Square Ventures. Processed 44 million USD in GMV over five years. But shut down due to funding exhaustion. The core reason. Despite claiming to be decentralized OB1 ran centralized search engines seed nodes and API servers. When they shut these down the entire network died.

The root problem is this. The reputation customer relationships and transaction data merchants build on a platform are ultimately the platform's assets not theirs. The platform controls the algorithm black box. It can unilaterally change rules and limit traffic. Merchants have almost no bargaining power.

Mobazha gives sellers full control over store identity catalog policies orders and customer data. Merchants own their commercial history. The platform cannot arbitrarily shut down self-hosted stores. Three operating paths let merchants with different technical capabilities find a suitable way.

Multi-chain crypto payments support BTC ETH BCH BNB SOL LTC ARB BASE TRON and USDT USDC on these chains. Buyers and sellers transact directly without relying on banks or traditional payment systems. For import export users who need cross-border payments this solves the slow and opaque fee problems of traditional channels.

No KYC. No central database. Buyers and sellers trade directly. The platform does not collect personal information or transaction records. Fundamentally avoiding the data breach risk of centralized platforms.

Early stage zero-commission policy lets merchants join at zero cost. Sellers set up an independent store in minutes. Retain full ownership of their business customer relationships and revenue.

Our advantages

Inherits OpenBazaar philosophy with key improvements. OpenBazaar never truly used a blockchain. It used IPFS for storing listings and marketplace data. Relied entirely on centralized infrastructure. Mobazha rebuilt the backend infrastructure. Updated the frontend from complex HTML templates to a modern Vue tech stack. Supports stablecoins USDT and USDC. Solving OpenBazaar's problem of Bitcoin-only payments with high price volatility making commerce impractical.

Open source and transparent. Code is public on GitHub. Anyone can audit contribute or fork. Passed DAPPbay review and is listed in their tools directory. Supports real product trading second-hand goods skills and services.

Test version is live. No client download required. Open the web browser and start using it.
