After collecting this company money and making this company to grow that plenty people are now gambling addictors, that is when the government wants a ban. Huh? That is like the government looking to get medicine before death. IMO all this banning stuff I keep seeing wouldn't stop addiction if that thing is what government are trying to disallows. Since this gambling companies exist online, the person will still use VPN and illegal websites to access gamble and gamble any how they want.
And i don't even know if the government will see this laws come through because that will also affectthem and make them to loose the revenues and the license money that they use to collect.

Furthermore, now that betting is legalized here, there’s still the issue of sponsorships. For example, it’s estimated that 1 billion reais has been invested in sponsorships in Brazilian soccer The biggest clubs are sponsored by betting companies
There are advocates on both sides: some want a total ban, while others argue that with a ban, people will continue to gamble "illegally"
But the reality is that there is extreme uncertainty for those who invest in Brazil, and that the government can change its mind at any moment and simply overhaul all the rules overnight
What do you think guys? This is the Brazil on I live where regulatory predictability is a problem that has always driven away not only Gambling companies but several others from other sectors too... Every company is afraid to do business in Brazil, am I wrong? Only chinese not!? And in Gambling we are proving to the world that the regulatory problem is once again a problem. Anyway, I recognize that gambling become has a serious social problem and the government trying to reduce this damage, maybe this regulation is not exactly a problem of type "regulate or ban", a lot can happen before this is approved and I believe the MP will be changed, you know why? Because the government knows that banning it now is throwing money away, with a population already addicted and accustomed to bet, they will find a way to circumvent this rules... so it is better to change it to make the rules and enforcement stricter than to try to ban it completely... they are not going to ban it!

What do you think guys?
Imagine being inconsiderate to another and shooting yourself at the same time, that’s actually what the Brazilian government are doing right now. This feels like a planned game all along, issuing license that was supposed to last for an agreed time and waking up one morning to cut is short is robbery which is worse than gambling soo the government ain’t even any better. Because tell me why, Just last year they asked casinos to come and legally register to gain license, they paid roughly $6m to get, now this license in question was supposed to last for 5yrs. Now they are already calling for a ban for all gambling activities this creates a suspicion, because telling the people you’ve stolen from that the license is now invalid, indirectly asking them to pack and go is bias and unsettling. While the are being inconsiderate, they’re at same time shooting themselves because lots of returns and sponsorship comes from it. I believe there are better ways to control gambling if their intentions were to save the citizens from constant depts. so I not really understanding the purpose of this ban when some people has been robbed.

This was surely similar here locally, governments are going to get greedy when it comes to these gambling platforms because they know that they are getting a huge income. There was also a huge blocking here of illegal gambling websites here in the locally usually, almost all of the overseas gambling platforms are getting blocked, it wasn't announced as something like a banned but accessing gambling platforms online is not going to happen unless maybe you do a lot of tweaking intentionally.
Unless you are locally register here then you are not going to get the favor of the government, the registered or lisenced gambling website are free to do a lot of advertisement and government are not doing a lot of restriction to them, I mean it was obvious the at the government are just draining money to this platform and from the very start there are usually going to get this going as long as there are money on it.
For sure, this was going to affect Brazil's reputation with investors. I mean, they were getting a huge payout on this gambling website anyway, so for sure they are going to comply to operate legally.

I believe that if the Brazilian government is tackling this issue, it should involve sensible people and AI in the decision-making process and approach the matter rationally, paying attention to the finer details. Perhaps there could be limits on daily deposits combined with mandatory verification
I think in Australia they have planned (or have already carried out) to limit gamblers deposits by limiting card/bank deposits. I am not sure how technically they could do that, not there was any info if that was effective. In any case, a gambler who wants to gamble, will find a loophole or controversies in rules/law to keep on gambling. To solve problem with excess gambling, government must work out strategy and solution both for casino and gamblers. No use to solve issues only with one; with gamblers or with casinos.

I wouldn't want to use my bank card to fund a casino deposit, because the bank would see the transaction, and I’d rather avoid that. I feel more at ease depositing via BTC and knowing I’m playing at a no KYC casino. That way neither the government nor my bank can find out I’m gambling, and I don’t have to worry about violating any rules or facing restrictions.

The Brazilian government is preparing a provisional measure to ban online gaming and restrict sports betting It’s interesting that this comes not long after Brazil collected a lot of money from company licenses
Once the law is passed, if gambling companies are banned again after collecting revenue from them, then it is certainly not a reasonable decision. The government must find a solution to this as soon as possible. If the government thinks that they will remove the public from gambling by banning it, then they are mistaken. At present, no government can stop a gambler from gambling if that gambler does not want. Although strict laws of the governments may create some obstacles in gambling, but in the long run the government will never be able to improve this situation by applying pressure. If the government applies pressure, then they will lose a huge amount of revenue and the general public will gamble in different ways. That is, the governments will lose more by opposing gambling, which is why it is better if they try to control the gambling companies by making strict regulations.

Honestly no matter how strict they decided to be with gamble, the truth is; gamblers will always find their way around it, least they do not know, they should have a rethink about this their decision before finalizing it, because now it feels like they are only going to stop gambling but unfortunately they are also going to face the consequences because I am sure in one way or the other they also benefits from it, whatever their reason is they should be careful as not to pave way for illegal gambling activity with this initiative I know they are doing it to prevent underage access to gambling but it will really not be possible to prevent.
If we are to talk about the benefits, since the Brazilian government issued out their policy to allow gambling sites to register and gain license the government have been the one benefiting more, they have charged for licensing and taken a percentage from the revenue those casinos make from the citizens, but the real danger now is the type of message this their new decision will send to foreign investors concerning how they could easily change policy that will affect business without minding them, gamblers finding another way is not even something new as offshore casinos will always be their to serve them even if the government blocks them access its easy to break. I think the decision that the Brazilian government is taking will not have much impact on gamblers. It will mainly have a big impact on casino operators because gamblers will never stop. They will definitely follow alternative way and resume their games. Speaking of benefits, the government and casino operators benefit here and by taking this decision, both the casino operators and the government will suffer because, if gamblers want to gamble by any means, the government will never be able to control them and this is never possible. There is doubt about how successful the Brazilian government will be by taking this decision. The government can create new law if it wants and ask the general people to obey the government laws but obeying the laws completely depends on the mentality of the general people.

Stopping gamblers from gambling is a hard task the government wouldn't find easy because loophole will always be discovered in any measures the government put in place. Or if they succeeded in restricting gambling activities online, are they going to ban the offline gambling casino or shops? Even though fiat deposit is restricted, casinos nowadays accept crypto deposit, so they can use VPN for those casinos that are vpn friendly, and make a crypto deposit of any amount of their choice, so left for me, the best they can do is to preach the danger it has to the general public, because trying to force gamblers to stop will even encourage them to look for more ways they can beat the restrictions and gamble freely.

Nah, don't feel too confident with that. Even if the bank would not know, the government still could because Bitcoin is not fully anonymous. The blockchain is public, and they can use blockchain analysis tools to trace where the Bitcoin is coming from. If you used a KYC exchange to fund your casino account, then that transaction can still be linked back to you. Even the casino can log your IP address, so they can know where you are connecting from, and that could already give authorities a clue about your identity.

I wonder how long the no KYC casino he uses will remain that way before they eventually ask him to provide his documents. As long as there is a way to link your activity to your personal identity, the government can still find you. So yeah, I agree with you that he shouldn't be too confident that depositing with Bitcoin will make him invincible. If there is enough pressure on a casino to provide information about a particular user, especially if the casino is regulated, they may have to provide it to the government. That could also make it easier for the government to link everything back to you.

I think we should start by addressing gambling advertising, as there is simply too much of it everywhere; moreover, casino ads are crowding out more conventional advertisements that don't encourage people to take risks with their money. We need to minimize such advertising in countries where the casino problem is severe for instance, by limiting the locations where these ads can be displayed or imposing quotas and by mandating disclosures that warn of the potential financial losses involved in casino gaming. A total ban is not the answer and might even make matters worse so we need to approach this issue with the utmost care.

It is not safe to use a bank card to fund a casino account and apart from the bank knowing where your money is going, the casino will also know you by name and other things about you if you are not the kind of person that like giving a casino your information as a form of KYC. Since casinos have started adding crypto options to their deposit and withdrawal for their users to choose from random options, it has been helping us to stay anonymous from casinos that may want to track where our funds is coming from without our consent.

No matter what they government does gambler will definitely look for various means to gamble even is Brazil government bans online casinos. This is because gamblers will bypass and gamble with VPN and that puts the government on the losing side. They have made a lot of money from gambling why are they trying to ban online casinos operating legally in the country. They can ban the illegal ones.
If a country's government wants, it can make various excuses, and that's exactly what is being done here. Since the Brazilian government has given licenses to gambling platforms and legalized them, maybe now the government is taking action again against all these casino platforms, maybe it is trying to grab more money by implementing some new law. No matter how much gambling is done using VPN, when gambling in a country is declared completely illegal, it will become very difficult to gamble from that country because then the administration will also work to prevent gambling. When the administration works, gambling will become very difficult because the government of a country can do anything it wants.

Sorry but BS, so how do they want to make gambling completely illegal and ban it? Even technically... I really dont think they can pull it off. No matter how hard they try, people will always find ways to gamble. Just look at crypto casinos, people use VPNs, swap their local money (Pesos or what money in brazil?) into USDT, and gamble it away. The house always wins, so the money is gone anyway, and nothing was really banned. I bet people in Brazil will always find a way to lose their money on gambling, haha.

Some polices are enforce to discouraged people rather than the extortion. You think the government is not making enough from the casino and online gambling, they are making some amounts of money as tax but as the expense of their citizens. The citizens are gambling and wasting money and they don't win, the person that is benefit are only the government and the casino, the citizens are addicted and that is why the are trying to reduce the activity. The approach may be wrong or harsh but they are actually helping the people here. There are some countries that has banned gambling and does not allow their people to gamble and the gamblers want it, they are doing it illegally despite the ban. The government knows the money they can make from the tax they can make and you know very well how they love money but the governments has refused to legalize gambling in their country for people's protection.

I don't think it would be very useful for the government to ban gambling in the current context. Especially when online gambling is all around, people will gamble even if they are in secret. In my country, gambling is already banned and there are strict rules and regulations as punishment for gambling, but in front of me, many people are still involved in gambling, especially online gambling, and now they are gambling more than before. Strict enforcement of the law may reduce gambling to some extent, but I am not saying that it can completely eliminate it. We may see the same thing in Brazil.

To me, it's just a political stunt, given that Brazil has presidential elections coming up in the next few days. It's really hard to actually ban betting companies. Like you said, they sponsor several clubs and multiple TV networks these days, meaning it's already part of the budget for tons of companies. The lobby for ending this is just all talk from a convicted ex-con who is only looking for votes, always with the same old fairy tale about helping the poor. Bottom line, I don't think anything will come of it.
It’s all a matter of time, we are going to see if the government is actually going to take it serious or it is just something that we die down in a few months to come. Sometimes the government usually do something like this, they will initiate something and then abandon it. It happens in my country a lot the government usually initiate a policy and then abandon it. Gambling companies can be sponsoring a lot of things in the country however, if the government actually decides to stop gambling companies from operating in there country they can actually do it and they don’t even care what they will lose or how it will affect the company or those benefiting from them. Authorities have complete power and could end the betting business in split second. All sponsorship funding would become insignificant once the shut down notice was enforced by the authorities. Yes, they can actually do it and it won’t be hard for them to achieve it. Government are very powerful, and they control the country, any country that the government wants to achieve anything they can easily achieve it because they have all the resources to do that. Gambling business is something that the government can stop totally in the country and if they still want to make sure that you can’t use VPN to access any gambling or casino site, I believe they can still do it. They have the manpower and resources to make sure that they achieve it.

Thats exactly what Im saying, and thats what is happening and will happen if its banned or restricted. But which country is "your country," and what kinds of punishments and rules are there? Do you mean banned casinos and slot machines, or what special? If you talk about ppl are still online gambling, it seems there is no technical way to ban it, unless people bypass it using a VPN or? Id really like to know what these bans look like in your country mate.

The Brazilian government is completely trapping its own native people and the investors. If the government had a plan to ban the casinos, then why were they issuing licenses in the first place? It looks like they grabbed the money and now want to shut them down. However, with the ban, they have also lost the revenue they were earning. And a ban doesn't mean people will stop, they will likely resort to illegal methods, which brings no security and causes the money to go elsewhere. It would be better to keep it running to protect privacy and also maintain revenue.
