I am opening this scam report against BuySellVouchers.com (Overmorrow Trading Solutions OPC, registered in the Philippines). The platform is unlawfully withholding my legitimate funds amounting to $170.00 USD under my user profile "Michel99".

My balance comes from selling Amazon UK gift cards that I earned honestly through verified survey websites. My account was suspended by their automated bot simply because I mentioned the word "WhatsApp" to a client. However, in the very same chat log, I explicitly told the buyer that the trade and all payments had to be finished 100% inside the platform to respect the website's fees.

The transaction was completed successfully inside their system. The buyer got the cards, the platform validated the order, and they even admitted on my Trustpilot review that my products, sales, and verification status are completely legitimate.

Despite admitting my funds are legal, their support closed my ticket (#59140) and is extorting me to pay a $100.00 USD penalty fee to release my own $170.00 USD. This is pure financial extortion.

I warn the crypto community to stay away from BuySellVouchers. They will freeze your legitimate balance over a bot's misunderstanding and demand a $100 ransom to give it back.

If i understood you correctly, they blocked your account because they are accusing you of trying to move clients to another platform and settle the trade there. I want to believe that is obviously against their terms and conditions. Anyway, i'm just curious, what made you mention "Whatsapp" to this client?

That is very unusual for a "legitimate" service. It is either they block the accont and confiscate the funds or they release them, a penalty fee is absurd, particularly when the said fee is almost 60% of the amount in dispute.

Thanks for your reply. I mentioned WhatsApp purely to expedite future internal notifications regarding when cards were ready, as the platform's internal chat sometimes lags.

However, the key fact is that inside that very same chat log, I explicitly told the buyer: "We must finalize the payment and the trade 100% inside BuySellVouchers to respect the platform's rules and fees." And that is exactly what happened. The trade was completed inside the system, the buyer got the cards, and the platform took its commission.

They explicitly admitted on my Trustpilot review that my products and sales are 100% legitimate. Keeping a user's honest funds and demanding a $100 ransom for an automated bot's misunderstanding is completely predatory, which is why I am fighting this.

So in plain terms, you were trying to conduct future transactions off the site?

And that is exactly what happened. The trade was completed inside the system, the buyer got the cards, and the platform took its commission.

I get that part, and since that's what happened, i don't think they are right to withold your funds, except they have a rule in their T&C that allows them to do so in cases like this. The fair thing to do would be to allow you withdraw your money, since the trade was completed in the platform and they had their commission, then they can decide to restrict you from accessing the platform in the future if they feel you have broken their rules.

I agree with you on that. Though since they do not have any presence here, there is little to nothing that we can do to really help.

Exactly, you understood my point perfectly. The transaction was 100% completed inside their site, and they already collected their fees. Even if their bot flagged the word "WhatsApp", the penalty is completely abusive and illegal under commercial standards.

I know users here cannot directly access their servers, but making this scam public prevents other honest traders from losing their money to these predatory practices. I will keep this thread updated with any news from the DTI of the Philippines and Circle compliance regarding case 00161777. Thanks for your support.

Here is where you were wrong, most of this platform have activated their chat bot to dictect for keywords and once they found search from your account, they belief that you are chatting the client in order to take them off the platform and scam them.

This is also where I may find them being guilty, why giving you a fine when you are to be suspended or subjected to a review on your account, we all know all these efforts they are making is to combat against scam, but I will still not give in to the fact that am going to offer them $100 before releasing my own money.

As long as other users do not make the mistake of trying to move their clients off the platform and into another third party application, i don't think they'd have any problem. Because i believe you've been using this platform without any problems until this incident, right?

And one last thing, they didn't scam you, because truth is, you broke their rules. Many people would move clients off the site and steal from them, so this is all part of customer protection. The only thing is, i think the decision to collect their commission, withold your funds and charge you a high ransom to release it is very harsh.
