Charles Hoskinson who is one of the ethereum co-founder that departed to create Cardona (ADA). Input Output Group (IOG) warned Cardano users to avoid its YouTube channel after it was hijacked on Sept. 18, broadcasting a fraudulent livestream that used AI-manipulated footage of Charles Hoskinson to promote a fake crypto giveaway

That's happened a ton of times with Michael Saylor. Scammers create a channel with a video of Saylor giving a talk and they post a message below claiming that if you send a certain amount of Bitcoin, they'll double it or multiply it by x times. Obviously, these are scams. I don’t know if this will continue to happen as much now that he’s lost popularity, but there was a time when they were quite common. The problem is that there are always innocent people who fall for the scam and get ripped off.

I have never seen a legitimate giveaway that requires participants to send some money to win some more. This should not be believable even if it is coming from a official account or what looks to be one.
Best way to double your bitcoin is to consolidate it into a single address and leave it in your wallet.

This point alone is enough to call them a scammer. While reading your post, I realized this would be something like offering an unrealistic return. There is no such money-making machine that would double our money within seconds. It doesn’t matter who has been offering this, either by Ethereum founder or Bitcoin creator; at first sight it’s a scam.

Thanks for the warning. Most of the newbies fall for this type of scam since they aren’t aware of that scam. Hope they will learn or at least ask someone else or search. So skilled people would advise to avoid that scam. This isn’t new actually; a lot of scams happen this way.

Because there are still so many beginners and greedy people out there, even the cheapest, most low-effort scams still work effectively.

They could be telling the truth or they could be lying about their channel being hijacked while taking a share to rent out their channel, or they could also be part of the scheme. They’re the only ones who can tell us the truth, but we have no choice but to believe whatever they say, whether it’s the truth or not.

That’s not my main concern though. I have a little bit of concern for people paying to get free money, like I don’t get the sense in that seriously.

It's because people can earn from posting AI video. If that should stop today , it will get back to normal once again .

Yeah this happens all the time on youtube. Several months ago there was a barrage of videos on the cardano youtube channel that looked legit but always had the same goal in mind, make people send money and run. I have reported tens of those videos and once one was gone the next was right online. I think I even wrote about it in here if I remember correctly. I mean it's hard to fall for that stuff but if nobody would these scammers wouldn't run that shxt obviously. Just have to be careful and simply use common sense, then being scammed is so easy to prevent.

Sometimes people caused their problem by themselves. However, people are supposed to know how this things work's and that nobody will want to easily give out such offer just like that without any interior motive, even though their are some legit once but it's rare. At least  before accepting or before checking out any offer, it's important we make some findings on how legit it's before jumping on them to avoid cases like this. Moreover if we looking for how will can double our crypto (Bitcoin) then will know the right thing to do by venturing in to Bitcoin investment. Because if we don't learn how to manage our greed especially in this present generation where scammer's are everywhere, then hard experience will certainly help us on how we can do that.
