I would have loved if you have given an example because I thinking of the alternative if we can't get the original ? It’s totally wrong and we can start with scarcity, take a look at bitcoin while scarcity is part of what makes it’s attractive isn’t there other attributes that makes it to be the most sought after coin? OP, I think you are forgetting something that every product being produced has its price tag. Some may be costly; some may be cheap, even for the same product. This is why quality control is an important part of business and commerce in any developed country or even the developing countries, because without it, products just enter the market without inspection or approval and they may look like the real deal, but are fake despite the branding or marketing campaign behind it.

Let's take Medicines for example, you will see two drugs with different brand name and in reality they are the same, they are performing same function, has the same side effects and everything.
