Napapansin ko na kapag may malaking news sa US, especially tungkol sa Federal Reserve, regulation, ETF, or statements from government officials, madalas mabilis din ang reaction ng Bitcoin price. So napaisip ako, Bitcoin is supposed to be global and decentralized, bakit parang sobrang laki pa rin ng influence ng US? So i made a small research..
At ito ang mga dahilan na nakita ko..
[1] US Bitcoin ETFsHindi natin kayang malaman exactly kung ilang percent ng Bitcoin ang hawak ng Americans because Bitcoin addresses ay hindi naman connected to nationality. However, pwede nating tingnan ang US spot Bitcoin ETFs.
As of September 17, 2026:
[US Spot Bitcoin ETFs]
BTC held: ~1.28 million BTC
Maximum Bitcoin supply: 21 million BTC
Equivalent: ~6% of total maximum supplySource: US Bitcoin ETF holdingsHindi ibig sabihin na Americans own all of that 6%, dahil possible din na may investors outside the US pero makikita natin kung gaano kalaking amount ng BTC ang nasa financial products traded in the US.
[2] US Dollar Dominance
Bitcoin is global, pero karamihan ng global financial system ay heavily connected pa rin sa US dollar. if napapansin ninyo, bitcoin's value is mostly tied to USD ( large part of crypto liquidity is still dollar based).
[Global Foreign Exchange Reserves]
US Dollar: ~57%
[Global Foreign Exchange Transactions]
Transactions involving USD: ~89%
[Stablecoin Market - Q2 2026]
Total market: ~$305.1 billion
USDT: ~$184.4 billion
USDC: ~$73.5 billion
USDT + USDC combined: ~84% of the stablecoin market
Source: CoinGecko Q2 2026 Crypto ReportSo kahit Bitcoin itself is decentralized, malaking part ng money moving around crypto is still denominated in US dollars.
[4] Federal Reserve Interest RatesKapag nagtaas ng interest rate ang Federal Reserve:
Higher interest rates > Mas mahal mangutang > Less available liquidity > Investors may reduce exposure to risky assets > Stocks and Bitcoin can experience selling pressure
Kapag naman bumaba ang rates, possible na mangyari ang opposite dahil mas mura ulit ang capital.
[5] Institutional MoneyUS institutions can now access Bitcoin easily through spot ETFs.
Just recently:
[US Spot Bitcoin ETFs]
Weekly net inflow: ~$986.9 million
Source: The BlockAlmost $1 billion entering within one week can obviously affect demand.
Bitcoin may be decentralized technically, pero yung capital surrounding Bitcoin is still heavily connected to the traditional financial system, and the US dollar remains at the center of that system.
