BITFUC

A peer-to-peer electronic cash system. Own chain, own genesis, own addresses (fuc1…). Software is Bitcoin Core 31.1 (bitfucd). It is not Bitcoin and it is not merge-mined.

Most coins now are a login page, a premine, and a promise. I wanted a node on my machine, keys that never leave it, and a chain with no developer coins.

Different from Bitcoin: RandomX instead of SHA-256d mining, 2-minute blocks, ASERT difficulty, 1e9 FUC cap over 50 years then zero subsidy, 2% of fees burned. P2P port 17333. No hosted wallet.

FUC is not for sale here. There is no price, no ICO, no yield, and no promise that it will be worth anything. Coins enter only by mining on a node you run. The finder of a height gets the whole subsidy (~76 FUC). Coinbase matures after 100 blocks. There is no pool. A small CPU net can still be 51%’d.

If you can leave bitfucd up with TCP 17333 open, that is the help that matters. Mine there if you want coins. ./scripts/mainnet/start-operator.sh then send a public host:17333.

Can you give a little bit more detail on the project? What makes this project different than BitCoin, purpose-wise? Also, what does the name mean?
