Online Junket Discussion

Since the discussion here has already changed our perspective at iGambler.io on a few things, there’s another experiment we tried that I’d genuinely like to get your opinion on.

We tried bringing the traditional casino junket concept online. One version is simple. You qualify through your online play and, depending on the tier, we cover a 3 night stay at a 5 star hotel in places like Monaco, Dubai, Barcelona or Athens etc. No land based casino visit is required. The trip is simply a VIP benefit.

We’ve also offered the more traditional junket structure. We cover the trip, and in return there’s an agreed amount of play during the stay, for example around 4 hours daily with minimum betting requirements depending on the destination and games.

On paper, we thought this would be a strong acquisition offer. In reality, cold ads for it never really worked.

Existing players liked it, and players introduced through junket agents responded to it, but strangers seeing it in an ad rarely converted.

Why do you think that is? If you saw this from a casino you’d never played with before, would it interest you, or would your first reaction be that there must be a catch? or if you see it from a 100% trusted source would it be interesting and would you actually give it a shot?
