I am guessing it gets the data off the service board. Every time a thread title changes from CFNP to OPEN and vice versa, the information get's automatically updated

Thanks! The data is not entered manually. I built a crawler that periodically checks the original Bitcointalk campaign threads and extracts the relevant campaign information, including the thread title, status, manager, ranks, payment details, slots, and requirements where the information is available in the thread.

For status changes, the crawler checks the latest thread information against the existing data in the database. So, for example, if a campaign changes from [CFNP] to [OPEN], the system detects that change and updates the campaign status automatically.

I’m also keeping a history of important changes, so status changes can be tracked over time. The goal is to reduce manual updates as much as possible while still keeping the original Bitcointalk thread as the source to verify the latest conditions.

There are still some cases where information isn't available in normal text (for example, details published inside images), and those require additional handling/review.

Yes, that’s basically how it works, although the system goes a little further than only reading the service board.

The crawler discovers and tracks campaign threads, then periodically checks the original Bitcointalk thread again. It compares the latest information with the data already stored. So when a campaign title changes, for example [CFNP] → [OPEN] or [OPEN] → [FULL], the change is detected and the campaign status is updated automatically. Important changes are also kept in the campaign history.

I’m trying to keep manual data entry to a minimum. The original Bitcointalk thread remains the source for verification, and missing information is not guessed.

And thanks for pointing out the payment issue. 50 BTC vs $50 is definitely an important distinction. The parser needs to distinguish the payment amount from the payment currency/unit rather than interpreting the number alone. I’m checking those cases and will correct the affected campaign data.

Thanks for checking it out and for the detailed feedback. Yes, that's something I’m planning to expand. The current version focuses on the core campaign data and eligibility, while the next stage can go deeper into a member’s posting activity across specific boards, as well as requirements such as minimum activity in Gambling/Technical sections and merit-to-post ratios.

The goal is to eventually make the finder more personalized, so instead of just showing campaign requirements, it can actually help a member identify which campaigns they are most likely to qualify for based on their forum activity.

We’re planning to expand it to other forums and platforms that have campaign opportunities, including AltcoinsTalks and potentially other relevant communities as well.

We’re also looking at supporting different campaign types in the future, such as review campaigns and other paid-content/campaign formats, rather than focusing only on signature campaigns.

For now, we started with Bitcointalk because it gives us a solid base to build and test the crawler, campaign tracking, status detection, and other features before expanding to additional platforms.

As for the domain, we intentionally kept it platform-neutral because the long-term plan is to support multiple forums and campaign types rather than make the site permanently Bitcointalk-specific.

Something New Is Coming to The Campaign Finder

Campaign managers — imagine running a signature campaign without maintaining another spreadsheet.

We've been quietly building something new at The Campaign Finder specifically for Bitcointalk campaign managers.

We're currently testing a new Manager system designed to handle much more than simply listing campaigns.


The idea is simple:

• Add approved participants using their Bitcointalk profile URL
  
• Verify their real Bitcointalk UID and rank
• Automatically track their new posts
• Monitor the current campaign period
• Track participant progress
• Check qualified and payable posts
• Calculate campaign rewards
• Keep campaign records in one place

And the interesting part?

The manager shouldn't need to manually maintain a spreadsheet every week.

Once approved participants are added, the system is designed to keep watching their campaign activity automatically.

A participant can be linked using their Bitcointalk profile, and the system uses their numeric Bitcointalk UID to track their activity.

That means the system isn't relying on a manually maintained username list.

Campaign running?

The system keeps tracking participant activity.

New post made?

The system can discover and evaluate it according to the campaign rules.

Campaign period finished?

The system handles the next period according to the campaign's available credits.

No available credit?

The campaign can pause instead of continuing unpaid.

Campaign Week Credits


We're also testing a different way of handling campaign operation time.

Instead of buying a permanent "campaign slot", managers can use Campaign Week Credits.

1 Campaign Week Credit = 1 paid week for one campaign

Current testing price:

$19 per campaign week

Managers can purchase multiple weeks and use those credits across their campaigns.

For example:

• 1 credit = 1 campaign for 1 week
• 4 credits = 4 campaign weeks
• Multiple campaigns can run independently

Each campaign has its own start time and its own 7-day period.

There is no fixed Sunday schedule.

A campaign started on Wednesday can have its own Wednesday-to-Wednesday period, while another campaign started on Friday can have its own Friday-to-Friday period.

And yes, I completely agree that campaign managers may have their own spreadsheets, bookkeeping methods, and custom rules for evaluating participants. The goal isn't to force managers to replace their own workflow or judgment.

The Manager system we're building is intended more as an automation layer for the repetitive parts — participant tracking, Bitcointalk profile verification, post tracking, campaign periods, qualification data, rewards, and records — while still allowing the manager to control the campaign rules and make their own decisions where needed.

For participants, that's actually one of the main things I wanted to solve with The Campaign Finder. Having campaign details, requirements, and eligibility information in one place can make finding suitable campaigns much easier.

We're still testing the Manager side privately, so feedback like this is especially useful before we open it more widely.

I'm happy to be judged by what I actually do here, my interactions, and my work over time rather than simply by the account history.
