Why do Nigerias president spend their vacation outside the country

For some time now i have gently looked into how presidents of other countries especially European countries operate,  then i came to understand that they find it very difficult going for vacations off there countries except on emergency purpose but that of Nigerian presidents is fear from that, they spend most of their vacations outside the country knowing fully well there are good places in Nigeria they could go to that is if they have done their jobs as presidents. For this am bothered and will love to know why they prefer other countries to Nigeria.

This is a sign that they don't actually value what they have. In the first place, the system of leadership in Nigeria is far more different from those of the developed countries, as it is Nigerians are not pleased with the system of leadership here, and the leaders actually know they are not doing well. This particular reason makes them very uncomfortable here each they want to go on vacation. In the developed countries, the lives of citizens are highly valued, and they make sure every citizen deserve good life, so that alone makes their leaders feel free, and protected within their own countries. There is no kind of facility that Nigeria government cannot afford to esterblish here in Nigeria, but because of the corrupt nature of some of the leaders they use the countries money to esterblish those investment in the foreign countries just for themselves, and family.

The reasons why Nigeria politicians go on vacation in other countries are very visible and crystal clear to everyone and those reasons can be easily identified which are as follows;  insecurity, talking about Insecurity it's one of the factors that has contributed to traveling out of the country by the Presidents that comes into power, because they can't walk freely here in Nigeria and don't want to get kidnapped or attacked by bandits.

There are also no go recreational centers and tourist beaches that are safe for vacation, this are the things the government would have put in place so they don't keep traveling out of the country, we don't have good facilities for medical care and health centers, no good roads and there is gas flaring with no good weather conditions so to mention but a few those are the underlining factors that is the route cause for their travelling and even when they go abroad they don't emulate any other good things they see there and build it here which is so worrisome.

There are several reasons why Nigeria leaders prefer to spend holidays outside the country which include:
  1. Security: Truth is overseas the difference between the poor and rich isn’t really much so people won’t even have their time, everyone goes about their normal duties regardless of personality, they are also not under any special threat since majority of persons their don’t know them much.
  2. Environment: No matter how we see it most countries overseas are far developed than Nigeria, even if same efforts are put in we can’t cheat age and time, it will still take long before we can attain certain form of development, hence this politicians prefer where there is special amenities, it is a vacation meaning the environment must worth it.
  3. Portfolio: Some politicians use such vacations to build their portfolio, it is just like a bragging right, some also use it to gain experience because outside they will compare how things are done over there and probably think of replicating it in Nigeria, that is for those of them that are good.

Traveling out for vacation to me is not a crime, just that the annoying part is that Nigerian politicians travel out and see how things are done yet don’t come back to replicate same here in Nigeria, they prefer to loot Nigeria and go abroad to enjoy with their kids, it is pathetic how wicked the Nigerian politicians think and act towards citizens they are supposed to serve.

When a president have everything they needed in their country they usually don't see any need traveling to another person's country to relaxed, just like you have not seen any western president travel like ours?, so actually is because of how the country is that's why is usually very uncomfortable for them to spend their vacation here, if for instance Nigeria is as beautiful as England do you think they would have been going to a vacation outside the country?, this are something they would have done in this country so that we would have everything but unfortunately they are happy with how ugly the country has appeared to be, even in medical treatment they always prefers outside than building them in Nigerian.

Did you just say you want to know why Nigeria former and parent presidents love going for vacation in Europe and other developed countries? But you already have answer to your question, man they know they have failed in different things, even there places they can go for vacation in this country, they don't feel secured, no good health care, cause most time they travel for vacation, they go for check up and treatment as well, which we know that they can not do those things, did they build any good hospital here? When we are talking about failure, we can discuss Nigeria presidents, although some of the past presidents did well, we have had the worst since APC came into power, PDP did there own, but wa not as bad as this, everything about APC presidency is just calamity, why will other developed country president travel just like that when the have everything they are look for in other countries.

There are more reasons why Nigerian president often traveled abroad, so it may not just be about their preference or personal choice. A president can decide to travel abroad because of medical issues, privacy or other reasons that concerns the welfare of the nation. However , i do get the points here and the need while people may be worried about this, especially when it is now a habit and the leaders aren't working to improve infrastructure or many of this things that makes them to seek comfort and tourism outside the country while neglecting the nation own infrastructures.
Leaders needs to work on improving security, infrastructures, hospitals, good roads etc by so doing they will gain the confidence of the masses.

There are more reasons why Nigerian president often traveled abroad, so it may not just be about their preference or personal choice. A president can decide to travel abroad because of medical issues, privacy or other reasons that concerns the welfare of the nation.

Apart from attending functions with other international community, i see no reason why a president should go on vacation or even travel for medical care abroad. Why will a country's president travel because of vacation? If it were a military regime there is a way that a president will travel abroad before he will return back to the country a new government must have overthrown him through a coup. If the country had good medical health facilities will the president travel abroad for medical care except for critical surgeries? They should invest in the healthcare of the country and employ professional doctors who can do the jobs perfectly instead of travelling abroad each time they're sick.

The past and present president of Nigeria not only the presidents including other top politicians in the country has already spoiled the country by not building any good infrastructure and no good development, no good hospital, no good road or electricity and lack of security which they have cause always make them to go on a vacation outside the country because the European system is well organized with everything working perfectly well while we have leaders here who steal all our resources to develop other countries.

Even you if you get the chance like this am sure you will japa and probably never come back here.The president dosen't only go out for Vacation, sometimes he goes for checkup. AFAIK, the president no trust the Nigerian system. Is it not in the same country that doctors use to forget scissors inside person stomach, the president sef dey hear all this scores and that is why he will always want to travel out from his own country.

I don't know if you heard of the death of the former Deputy Governor of Bayelsa State. Assuming there was better facilities I think he should have survived after that collapse that he collapsed

Gosh I wake up every morning praying that Nigeria becomes better than it is. We need real change not all this shitty campaign about change that end the moment after election happen. Politicians and lies are like husbands and wives, this is why I don't trust anyone if them again.

They can't tell you that he is going for treatment because it may cause an uproar in the country as Nigerians will condemn his visit as a national disgrace. The president is not medically fit just looking at him,he might be sick. His appearance both inside and outside shows he is sick that's why he usually go for medical checkup to stay alive, people will condemn his visit because he has refused to revamp the health sector to meet international standard. That is why the presidency always lie that he is out for a short vacation.

That may be true because I keep wondering why presidents who are supposed to be in his country keep spending time in another man's country, but its the right time all this nonsense needs to stop. Recently it came to the knowledge of Nigerians that above 37 billion have already been spent on vacations that are of no importance to the country. If power it not rescued from the hands of this people any time soon,  there won't be Nigeria anymore because this corrupt politician will  steal everything in the country.

What exactly do you expect from the ones who don't really care about the country they are heading and refuse to make a proper development on that same country, they've got nice places to tour out there in the western world, the security is top notch out there, and the Nigerian leaders biggest fright is insecurity but they failed to tackle it here in their country, but chose to go outside where it's top notch, there are better hospitals there that can sort them out of any kind of medical attention, so if you are to be one of them would you like to spend it here or travel that way? I wonder why people are so concerned about these men, the earlier we realize this country has gotten to the point of all man for himself the better for us all.

Just imagine when everything about the country is not up to their taste or standard they will want to travel somewhere for vacation and abandon their own country like is not of use and use the citizens will be hoping our own country to be like the others country and we also wish that other country will travel down to our country for vacation because Nigeria is a blessed country but the president are not doing enough here, just to steal and invest in their self and we the citizens will have no mouth talk because we don't have freedom of speech any longer, and for real if they will look into things proper the president has traveling alot for vacation. I heard on news this afternoon that its not only the president who is absent from the country as of today, but also the Vice president Shettima, and the senate president Senator Godwins Akpabia, both who happens to be the most important individuals in the country on a vacation to another nation. And what this pattern clearly prroves is that these politicians don't care about the average Nigerian citizen, which is you and I. Because if our leaders did actually cared, they would have made our country so conducive and peaceful which other nations of the world would have been jealous of our creativity and development just as China and Dubai, where the leaders took time to build their countries.
