Why do Nigerias president spend their vacation outside the country

For some time now i have gently looked into how presidents of other countries especially European countries operate,  then i came to understand that they find it very difficult going for vacations off there countries except on emergency purpose but that of Nigerian presidents is fear from that, they spend most of their vacations outside the country knowing fully well there are good places in Nigeria they could go to that is if they have done their jobs as presidents. For this am bothered and will love to know why they prefer other countries to Nigeria.

I understand your concern, but I think there are a few things to consider before concluding that Nigerian presidents simply prefer foreign countries. Security, privacy, medical facilities, diplomatic commitments, and personal preferences can all influence where a president spends private time.

I don’t have any problem where ever anyone chooses to spend his/her vacation, be it the president or whoever. Everyone can choose a vacation destination of their choice provided they have the necessary permits to visit the country. But if you ask why do Nigerian presidents chose to spend their vacation outside is more or less for them to decide but with the look of things they’re going on a vacation to take a little break out of work and by so doing they needed a place far from home to enable them get the deserved rest without any disturbance or interference. But it’s just too unreasonable that Nigeria Presidents will go for a vacation in another country but no other country president will chose Nigeria as a destination for vacation, the reason is because the country doesn’t have what it takes for vacation especially in term of security. Nigeria presidents should be more concerned about why they chose to spend vacation in other countries but none of the other nations presidents can come to Nigeria for vacation.

It's such a shame that everyone in Nigeria knew what our leaders are doing and yet people aren't holding them accountable and demand good governance by force. I'm not even sure if Bola Ahmed Tinubu will be voted out of office in the upcoming presidential election because he wants to rule Nigeria for another four years and he's willing to rig the presidential election just to remain in office if the election doesn't favor him. Voting Bola Ahmed Tinubu out of office won't be easy, if we must achieve that the masses needs to vote Peter Obi and also protect their votes for INEC not to rig the election in Tinubu's favor.

We should think about lack of development, because when a country is developed and everything you need is available for you in your country most especially the healthcare sectors, I don’t think our President just travel for vacation because of just fun or anything, I feel it’s mostly because they’re going there because of some medical conditions that they wouldn’t want to disclose to us citizens, if this people have developed this country and made this country a better place for everyone and creating good medical facilities for everyone to have a good medical care you will not seem them traveling and leaving their job and traveling to some other place just to sit drink and enjoy themselves while they can enjoy that in their various countries, not only in Nigeria but also in other countries in Africa.

Even if we should have good medical facilities here, I don't still think our leaders will stop going outside the country to get medication there. They are used to taking medications there and will not want to have anything to do with us here. They have left the one in Nigeria for the citizens to use. And because they aren't using it, they don't think if developing it as well. What matters most to them is their family, their relatives, and their loved ones. Any other person doesn't mean anything to them.

The case of Kidney failure has become the other of the day here in Nigeria, and up till now, the leaders of Nigeria have not done anything about it. Untill everybody dies of same sickness, they will not rest. We are just living by the grace of God in the country.

But if I may ask, what is the economic importance of the numerous  vacations our president always embark on? Can anybody tell me a single benefit of the vacation he always go in different countries. Because to me that's a complete waste of public funds, since our president is not learning anything from the vacation he and his entourage keeps going every 3 months to 6 months.. I will say is a shame and disgrace to us that our president are traveling out the country for a vacation for real it a big slap to us, they are just doing it for their selfish interest, the painful part they will still borrow money to go for their expensive lifestyle and we the citizens are going through a lot some looking for this money to feeding families and we have leaders who don’t care about his people at all. Even though they will say is for the health status but it still not matter because we have a good health center in Nigeria who are medical doing well with their profession and some went outside the country to study, so I will say Nigeria is not left behind with all this things, we just need to wise up Nigeria is seen as a country that is not valuable.

I can't deny that there are good places in this country for Nigerian politicians to go for vacation. But the fact is that most of the good places in our country, Nigeria, cannot be compared with some developed countries. So, there is a big difference between the quality of places available for them to enjoy their vacations.That is one of the main reasons we hardly see Nigerian politicians flying to other African countries to have their vacations. We should understand that the good places they are looking for are one of the reasons they choose not to stay in their own country.

In fact, this applies to everyone. If someone has enough money and wants to go on vacation, they may not necessarily choose to do it in their own country. They are likely to want to visit other countries that are more developed. Everyone sometimes just wants to get away from the environment they have been in for a long time.

There are more reasons why Nigerian president often traveled abroad, so it may not just be about their preference or personal choice. A president can decide to travel abroad because of medical issues, privacy or other reasons that concerns the welfare of the nation.

Apart from attending functions with other international community, i see no reason why a president should go on vacation or even travel for medical care abroad. Why will a country's president travel because of vacation? If it were a military regime there is a way that a president will travel abroad before he will return back to the country a new government must have overthrown him through a coup. If the country had good medical health facilities will the president travel abroad for medical care except for critical surgeries? They should invest in the healthcare of the country and employ professional doctors who can do the jobs perfectly instead of travelling abroad each time they're sick.

Some of this politicians don't just travel because they want to attend a function in foreign countries, they go there to invest the money they have stolen from our treasury here and that's why they go there and we think it's for vacation. Nigeria is bless with all kinds of minerals resources which if putting to good use by our leaders other people will come to Nigeria for vacation but no they won't put their place in order and will be leaving to go and enjoy at a place that has been well developed and secured, imagine the president will have just keeps touring the whole world aimlessly since he assumed office.

I agree with you, if it were during the days of military regime you dare not leave your seat and don't get overthrown before you get back, you will only hear the news on the television that your regime has been overthrown but this days you see Tinubu stay overseas for three weeks and couldn't attend UN meetings and as they travel they won't emulate the good medical facilities there and build here, such a shame.

The embarrassing habit that all these our leaders, especially the president exhibit by constantly travelling to abroad for holidays is connected to their cluelessness and inferior mindset. I think our president genuinely know that anything local or Nigerian is below their standard which is why they spend taxpayers' money to go outside the country both for vacation and to seek validation as well from places like Paris and London. They are terrified of the health and security system they deliberately refused to fix so they escape to abroad to enjoy working infrastructure because they have no shame and they lack confidence in their own governance.

It's very clear, and without mixing words, they know that the country is in delapitated form and they don't want to fix it, and/or they feel the fear of staying here, fearing attackers or danger which has existed in the country for long time now and they have turned deaf ears and have refused to do anything about it.

We could also say they love you leave a comfortable live, and they feel like they get that kind of lifestyle abroad, so they prefer going there. But the big question is, why have they not fixed there own country? Why have they turned blind to what is necessary and doing other things or seeking pleasure outside. To me, it's a shame
