Bitcoin's market price can fall dramatically, even while inflation is high. Research and financial institutions have noted that Bitcoin's relationship with inflation is not strong enough to call it a reliable inflation hedge.
It was never meant to react directly to inflation from inception.  Inflation is mostly regional and circumstantial while bitcoin demands on a more vast and unique indicators that are not always dependent on these things.

If you're investing in bitcoin for the sake of long term gain, inflation might be an issue and the price of bitcoin might equally be down but because you're not selling, you will still hold on to your asset through those times such that you won't still be at a loss. The way bitcoin protect people during inflation is by allowing people convert Thier fiat to bitcoin and holding it through times of inflation so Thier funds don't get eaten by inflation.

If you cannot hold for long, you don’t need to invest in Bitcoin if you are just using it to avoid inflation because the price movement within short period of time cannot solve you problem sufficiently.
Everyone buying bitcoin have different perspectives in mind, some are buying to fight inflation and at the same time for little appreciation, while others are securing bitcoin for long term purposes. Both parties are not entirely doing the wrong thing, a person buying bitcoin to fight inflation should not be considered a bad investor because in due time, there could be a change of mind to fully invest in bitcoin for long term.

Bitcoin investment is not a forced practice, it should be done with total understanding of the market movement within a specific time range with certain expectations within that period, it should not be done under duress.

You will definitely get proof of how inflation happens, you deposit fiat currency in the bank and after a few years determine its value and go to the market and prove it. And you deposit Bitcoin with the same amount of money and hold it for a long time then you receive the benefit.
You prove whether Bitcoin can be more profitable or you can be more profitable by storing fiat currency, only Bitcoin will be the best because its value will definitely increase more and it plays the most effective role against inflation.

You see the comparison becomes even more significant when you focus more on the purchasing power rather than simply the amount of money held. Yes, it’s true that inflation can make fiat lose purchasing power over time, but there’s also no guarantee that Bitcoin would increase or rise within that speculated period of time either, because Bitcoin is a very volatile asset and price can go from this to this at the time you least expect, especially when it’s during the short term. So the most important thing here is understanding the difference between protecting purchasing power and simply taking on an asset with its own risks too, that way you’ll be able to make a more logical choice.
Inflation has is actually about purchasing power. If a particular amount can buy same commodity after many years or after a period, then inflation is non existent. Bitcoin bridges the inflation gap by rising up to the  current price of a  particular commodity or even higher. Even though it is not certain that bitcoin will rise at the end of the period or whether it will dip further, it is still riskier to save money in fiat because based on history, bitcoin has performed better when compared to fiats

Inflation is continuous and so is bitcoin, volatility makes it possible to rise and fall and over a period of time, bitcoin seems to have crossed a particular low, which is why long term holding of bitcoin is always the best. You don't have to limit your investments, you should have a plan of holding for at least 4 to 10 years because that's when you can consider your self an investor. The longer you hold, the better and the shorter you hold your bitcoin, the easier or the higher chances of losing because it becomes like a trade/short term trade.

Sincerely, you are right bitcoin is the best and suitable assets that go against this inflation and saves it holders even if the inflation rate is high because it doesn’t just lose value drastically over time just like fiat.  Bitcoin has limited supply and only 21 million can exit and none is getting created beyond that supply limit.
Probably he hasn’t glance through the price of bitcoin today because if he had then he would noticed that we are in bullish movement right now because the price rise a lot today. Bitcoin has been of a positive help to us against this inflation because if we solely think of relying on fiat, then we will just keep complaining anytime the inflation goes higher.

The price of bitcoin just shot up to $87k. Even though right now the price has dragged down back to $84k but it did touch $87k.
The thing is, some people don't realize the fact that bitcoin is here to stay and hence it has room to grow.
Sooner or later it does rise easily beats inflation and also grows our portfolio and so investing bitcoin is like having a goldmine right now.

Bitcoin is said to be a hedge against inflation, and that's not just a claim; it's based on Bitcoin's price history, which has increased over time. Don't look at it in the short term, but you need to look at it in the long term because short-term price movements can be volatile and may not reflect its performance as a long-term asset. But if you look at it in the long run, you can see that Bitcoin's price tends to go up. If you want proof, you can check out this picture:

Those who doubt that Bitcoin cannot or is not worth fighting inflation are basically short-term thinkers or those who have invested in Bitcoin for the short term and have suffered losses due to volatility. Because I completely agree with what you said. If we look at the market from the past of Bitcoin to the present, we will see that every person has benefited a lot by investing in Bitcoin and Bitcoin has become one of the best assets to fight inflation.

Many people may say that they will invest in gold, yes they can invest in gold, but Bitcoin has become a much better asset than gold at present and if a person invests in Bitcoin, he will definitely benefit much more than gold if he is able to hold it in the long term.

Most people that do doubt Bitcoin as a tool against inflation only consider short-term price movement, they don't usually look it in a long run because if they decide to look at it in a long run, they will know the truth and also know that no investment has goven more profits than Bitcoin investment in a long term since Bitcoin was created.
It is not too late to invest in Bitcoin because it is an investment that stores value, and holding for a long period of time will also give profit; the value it maintains is the reason why it always defeats inflation.

The main strong point of Bitcoin it it uptrending market value.  If the uptrending market value diminishes then it is true that Bitcoin hedge agains inflation will be weaken.

Even though research and financial institutions have noted that its relation to being a reliable inflation hedge is not strong enough, we cannot deny the fact that the history of Bitcoin price has already safeguarded the value of money of people who converted their fiat currency into  Bitcoin from the year 2021 and earlier.  It even gives these people huge profits.
