Truthfully, Bitcoin can potentially increase as well as to preserve purchasing power, but does that automatically imply that it offers a guaranteed inflation hedge? Definitely not.
While fiats can steadily lose purchasing power, let’s not forget that even Bitcoin can also experience a very large decline too, so for someone who needs the money in the short term would still find themselves in a bad position. So I believe the most important factor that makes Bitcoin more attractive and a better option is the time horizon as well as the ability to hold through volatility.
The correlation between Bitcoin purchasing power and fiat currency power is quite opposite, with fiat currencies lost their purchasing power with time as consequence of inflation or hyper inflation depending on rates of money printing in different countries. With Bitcoin, it's programmed to have Bitcoin block subsidy halves every 210,000 blocks or 4 years. This supply vs time scheme, together with lost bitcoin in the past and the future, make Bitcoin supply is deflationary.

Deflationary is only one of many things that make Bitcoin value but together they all make Bitcoin value rising with time. As a result of that, we have a very good wealth storage, store of value asset, Bitcoin against fiat currencies.

If I were you, I’d be careful to think that limited supply automatically means rising value. Scarcity sure does create an important foundation, but the market price is totally still dependent on demand. What Bitcoin’s fixed issuance actually does is to make it a lot more attractive as a scarce asset, but its purchasing power can still move rapidly towards an unexpected direction depending on adoption, market conditions and demand.

The more people buy Bitcoin and hold it for a long time with confidence, the more the value of Bitcoin will increase, it is true that the price of Bitcoin increases depending on the demand of people to buy.
But the important thing here is that people always want to buy something that has a very limited supply because that asset can bring them big benefits in the future, as a result of which they can own a large amount of money that can change their life. So here limited supply and demand are related to each other. The demand for that asset which is valuable and has a limited supply and its demand in the market will never decrease, it is natural for the price to gradually increase.

Whenever inflation rises, people run towards gold, it has many years of existence, and that's why people trust it more. On the other hand, people think that if inflation rises, Bitcoin may not provide them with security, so they put their money in gold. The reason is that Bitcoin is very volatile and has not been around for long that's why. If Bitcoin spends some more time in the market, then I am sure it will become the only choice for people.

Scarcity can indeed attract demand, but one thing we also need to understand is that there’s no actual guarantee that demand  would remain strong forever.  People may actually fancy and want a limited asset because they’re expecting future gains, but if somehow that expectation changes, then there’s every possibility that demand would fall even though the supply is still limited. That’s why scarcity is merely just one among other things that gives Bitcoin its market value.

I think that people are already starting to have a positive perception about Bitcoin. Whenever there is a threat of inflation, Bitcoin's upward trend is seen. That is, people have now started to trust Bitcoin. People have believed in gold since ancient times, but no one knew that Bitcoin could build people's trust so quickly in just a few years. People now know that it is safest to keep their wealth with themselves. Those who buy gold to maintain the value of their wealth are the ones who are most afraid when a war situation arises. A person is safe only when he can keep his wealth with himself in any situation. But gold or any other asset is not always safe. Investors' interest in Bitcoin is gradually increasing particularly the number of institutional investors, ETF Investments which is making ordinary investors more interested in Bitcoin. Bitcoin will be the first choice for securing their assets in the future.

Bitcoin protects our economy and people from inflation because it is fixed and it's supply cap cannot be changed or be above 21 million in terms of production which now stops the governments from devaluing Bitcoin through currency printing, which also makes it difficult since it is digital currency not physical currency, it can be stored digitally and transferred at any point in time across the world instantly unlike gold or fiat that are physical.

Bitcoin is being used to preserve wealth and savings when there is a lot of local currencies fall in the nations by the citizen during crisis or war.and because of these qualities that bitcoin has investors now see bitcoin as hedge protection against monetary quality and that is why is compared to gold by investors.

Basically bitcoin as hedge to inflation is just its ability to appreciate in price while the value of fiat depreciates over time and however even though the buy capacity of the bitcoin when converted in fiat reduces as the inflation increases yet the value it grows over the period becomes twice what it was worth before the purchase. So if you buy something $5k worth and in years it’s now $10k because of inflation and you have bitcoin purchased at $5k the bitcoin will be worth more like $15k which can allow you buy 3 of it.

Bitcoin's market price can fall dramatically, even while inflation is high. Research and financial institutions have noted that Bitcoin's relationship with inflation is not strong enough to call it a reliable inflation hedge.
Though this means of Bitcoin protection against inflation may not be exactly the same base on the country you are investing from, because for us who lives in a country whose currency is weaker to dollar, Bitcoin is actually the best way where we can invest our money and yet over time still be rest assured of it having the same market value everywhere around the world, unlike if you kept the Sam amount in your local currency, where it would have lost its market value over time. So the simple way to say Bitcoin helped to fight inflation is when yo invest in it and hold it long term. Because imagine If an individual had just invested just a dollar in Bitcoin 16years ago, by now that same single dollar would have been multiple dollars by now. And that alone is an edge against inflation.

Gold is prone to physical seizure or capital controls whereas bitcoin remains safe as long as our keys aren't compromised. Gold might have a better security overall due to its low volatility and inflation crisis hedge but with bitcoin network security it makes it even more competitive to invest mostly as the volatile value constantly updates maki6 it even more profitable to navigate on a long-term goal based. Despite gold been around for. millennials, bitcoin which was created around 2009 has done beyond golds current market value. People's choice are based on their preference which in most cases might be bias.

There are people who does not like Bitcoin because they see it as what will remove food from their mouths and make them irrelevant to the society so they are ready and willing to say negative things about Bitcoin so that people could stop adopting it, so you should not believe what the so called financial institutions said about Bitcoin not being strong enough to call it a reliable inflation hedge. Bitcoin cannot be inflation hedge in a short term because the price may decrease but it is inflation hedge when you hold it for a long period of time. For example, if you hold Bitcoin during a bear season to a bull season the value of your Bitcoin could increase by two or three times in price, which makes it inflation hedge.
Yes you are right I have heard some people say that they can't support Bitcoin in any way no matter what they are given they won't have anything to do with bitcon. But this kind of people later on if they understand the opportunity they are missing for not participate in Bitcoin they will want to invest all there life savings in it. Because they will want to see how that can quickly maximize every opportunity they have missed.

Gold has been the traditional assets many people used as hedge against inflation but gold is not a short time investment, it's a long one. The closest asset I think people run after is bond and treasury. If you are looking for a short term hedge against inflation, buying government bond and treasury is the best way where you get paid interest as you hold for long time.

However, if you want master of them, Bitcoin is the best way to fight inflation. There is no any government institution that has successfully outperform Bitcoin whether in short term or long term, Bitcoin is better than all of them.
