Being able to earn a living is a form of security that is reliable. I don’t know how you can see that any differently. You don’t need to be able to archive just about enough to live a life of luxury before you can feel secured or have enough to be able to guarantee generational wealth to feel secure. It’s a per head thing and though I get the part of being responsible for others and family, having a stable job and an income that allows you to save and plan on best means to utilize your money sounds like security.
And hey, you still get the chance of transfers and if you’re better at what you do, of course you can always move and find employment opportunities elsewhere.
Have you ever considered health-related risks? An accident or some other event could occur, leaving a person unable to engage in normal, full-fledged professional activity—in other words, resulting in a disability. What should be done in such a situation? Your family would no longer be able to rely on you, as you would then require care yourself.
These are scenarios that should always be taken into account. Such risks cannot be ruled out; they happen to people quite often.
