Low income earners should be careful when investing in Bitcoin. Their biggest task is to create a Bitcoin buying system that can survive their limited and sometimes unpredictable cash flow. The main problem with having a low income is creating discretionary income and creating financial stability to keep a part of that income in Bitcoin holding  for many years. Even if a low income earner struggles, they should pay special attention to creating a backup fund if the DCA amount is become low. Only then they can   invest in Bitcoin consistently. But consistency does not mean a fixed amount, consistency means accumulating Bitcoin on an ongoing basis when discretionary income is available.

Many low earners have this mindset problem. They think wrongly that since the amount is small, they may not make much profit by buying Bitcoin. They may not be able to create a very large holding quickly with a small amount. But they will develop an investment habit that when their income increases over time, the DCA amount can be adjusted.

Another thing I will emphasize is that those whose income is low, if they invest for a few days and get some profit, they may develop the wrong mentality of becoming very rich quickly. Then they may be more attracted to short term trading. This is often the most dangerous distraction. According to all types of economic conditions, people should invest in a way that can be continued for a long time and not have to change their decisions due to short term price movements.

I think you have a very good point, those that start to trade cryptocurrencies including bitcoin has a high probability of losing all their money. They will say it will not that be that hard, that they will buy bitcoin when the price is low and sell it when the price is high and make money. They may even go for perpetual trading of high leverage. They will not understand the money loss that is coming. Trading is very risky for most people, they should use very small amount of money for it like they are gambling. Bitcoin investment is easier and not stressful like trading.

If i invest in a few days and get profit when bitcoin suddenly rise that should serve as a motivation to keep investing rather causing anxiety that will lead me to start taking the profit i get. The way some people react to making profit from bitcoin will make it clear for you to see that the mindset have always been to trade bitcoin not invest in bitcoin.

Longterm investors will not take profit even if they are low income earners. Low income earners that struggle to buy bitcoin with the little they have for me is not supposed to be investing in bitcoin. They should work on their finances first before setting a structured plan that aligns with DCA strategy for longterm investment.

Well said even though there are enough investment discussions on the board already, so I don't see the point of creating another thread for it.

In reality many low income earners think it's even impossible to invest with their small amount and it has caused many to miss out on many opportunities. Investing in Bitcoin doesn't require being rich  but at the same time low income earners need to understand that investing cannot be forced. If their income cannot sustain them they shouldn't force investing yet, it'll only make them invest non discretionary funds which will cause unnecessary financial pressure.

Having back up funds is a key criteria to a successful investment but shouldn't be a reason to delay investing when we have discovered discretionary income. Some low earners might feel they need to have a reasonable back up funds before investing, no it will only delay investing and an investor should always invest as soon they have discretionary income.

Low income earners that struggle to buy bitcoin with the little they have for me is not supposed to be investing in bitcoin. They should work on their finances first before setting a structured plan that aligns with DCA strategy for longterm investment.
If the low income earner has discretionary income, he can start his bitcoin investment and build his bitcoin portfolio overtime with DCA while, he figures out how to work on his income for increments. He can look for a second means of income or learn a skill to boost his income for a better amount of discretionary income. Starting small is better than not starting.

But if he wants to wait till he gets a bigger income before starting his bitcoin investment, he will miss out a lot of opportunities in the market that he should have used to grow his bitcoin investment to a certain size and no one's knows when he will start his bitcoin investment. Bitcoin is a store of value and buying it gives you a better opportunity to improve your financial situation in the future which is the main reason for you to get started immediately, you have your discretionary income no matter how little it is.

As a low income earner who wants to start any investment be it bitcoin or whatsoever, you need to first have a balanced and planned budget of your income and cut off the unnecessary expenses, then you’ll use what’s left that’s the discretionary fund to invest. You also need to fully understand how bitcoin works and have a planned investment goal which will guide and help you to be consistent with your NCA.

Developing a consistent investment habit is important but as a low income earner you need to know the category of “low income” you belong, not every low income earner can have a discretionary income after spending on basic necessities like food, water and transport even after they cut down their unnecessary expenses, so you need to understand your finances first before planing to start investing especially with a long term goal.

This is the reason why you must first define your investment goals and then have an investment plan, chasing quick money often leads to losses and every aspiring investor needs to know that. Good investments takes time for the profits to flow.

Longterm investors will not take profit even if they are low income earners. Low income earners that struggle to buy bitcoin with the little they have for me is not supposed to be investing in bitcoin. They should work on their finances first before setting a structured plan that aligns with DCA strategy for longterm investment.

You have a point though, because they would be struggling almost although there investment journey. But think about it from this angle. A low income earner who knows the importance of investing in Bitcoin, knowing that it is a store of value can take the opportunity and decide to struggle through and somehow gather little buys over the years. If they are able to figure out there discretionary income, as little as it may be, and probably try to be buying Bitcoin with it, while also fixing there back up funds, then they might as well be able to achieve something in years, even though it may be very little compared to folks who have a stable income.

The point is, if they decide to work on there finances as you rightly suggested, then it make take them time to start the investment since we know they already have a problem with there income or cash flow. Perhaps, if they are interested to invest in Bitcoin, and can know what there discretionary is, they could just start buying using the DCA, and maybe while already investing can work on there finances along the way.

We already have 3 type of Bitcoin buying systems; they are buy the dîp, lump sum, and DCA (dollar cost averaging). The work of low income earners is not to create Bitcoin buying system for themselves, the work of low income earners is to figure out if they will have discretionary income after solving their monthly expenses, if they have discretionary income, they can use DCA system to buy Bitcoin whenever they have discretionary income, and they can work on increasing their income in order for them to have good cash flow that would help them remain consistent in their accumulation. Backup funds are very important because it is the bedrock of Bitcoin investment. So there is need for low income earners to create backup funds, if they do not have enough discretionary income to buy Bitcoin and build backup funds at the same time, they can take a little break from buying Bitcoin and build their backup funds that can solve their 3 months expenses, and if they are done to building their backup funds, they can resume buying Bitcoin.

Certainly low income people should be careful about investing in Bitcoin because it is a challenging process for investors to generate discretionary income from low income but I think it is easy to generate discretionary income for those who know budgeting, strategies to earn extra Naira.

It should be noted that there is no obligation to start buying a full bitcoin to invest in bitcoin as even fractional amount of bitcoins can be bought with at least 5/10 dollar naira and low income people can start the bitcoin investment journey, so they should adopt the DCA strategy. You are right in this regard that people with low incomes who invest for a few days and get some profit get rich quick mentality which makes them more attracted to short term trading but short term trading requires deep technical knowledge and constant monitoring of the market which makes it very challenging to make money from trading but even if you buy small amounts of Bitcoin, holding it for the long term has the potential to earn returns.

By low income earner, I want to believe that their income is still able to meet their basic needs and something is still left after that. If this is not what you mean, then such people do not have any business investing in Bitcoin since we know that investing in Bitcoin should only be done with discretionary income. Those that are still able to have discretionary income, they can start investing with as little as $10 per week or there about. There is no rush because Bitcoin is not going anywhere soon, hence it is better to invest little by little and allow time to make the difference.

They may not be able to create a very large holding quickly with a small amount. But they will develop an investment habit that when their income increases over time, the DCA amount can be adjusted.
This is the truth, they cannot acquire a large portfolio of bitcoin quickly, but why the rush?

Bitcoin investment is a long-term investment activity, so investors should be more patient and follow up their NCA gradually, buying consistently whenever their discretionary income is available, not to mount any form of pressure on themselves. Bitcoin can be bought with any amount, it must not have a large discretionary income to invest. Same reason bitcoin investment should be tailored to your finances, it is not a competition and there should be no hurry to buy a huge quantity quickly.

Aside income increasing,  as the investor masters his cashflow properly, he may see ways to decrease expenses in order to have a bigger discretionary income to follow up the investment journey.
