It is not possible for someone to be making profit from trading at all time even if they are professional traders. The most important thing is our ability to manage risk and reduce or minimise losses. Making good analysis doesn't automatically guarantee profit, but rather it can help you to take good decisions. Trading without a clear plan or taking unnecessary risk is mostly what makes traders to lose money and not because they lack patience alone. The best thing is for you to focus on how to manage your losses rather than chasing profit from every market trends.

Yea, making profit all the time is never possible in trading no matter how good or the level of professionality but being profitable is very much possible but not easy because to be profitable in trading requires a lot of attributes which includes; discipline, proper risk management, good analysis, patient etc. there are people who rush into trading position because of FOMO so patient is very important and discipline also is very important because it help in our decision and actions.

I like how you ended your post because what you first posted is not true for most traders. It will look as it it is easy to earn huge amount of money from trading but when the trader is losing, he will understand that trading is not easy at all than for greedy people to lose money.

As for me I do not consider even patient trading at all, trading is very risky. All money put on trading should be small because all can be lost within a short period of time.
The first line of the post is not for all traders, I targeted some traders who actually made it. That was the mean that there is the possibility of earning high, but not at the beginner level. You have to gain more experience, do more practice, and after some time, you will reach the level where you can earn a good amount from it.

As for patience in trading, I think that is the core trick in trading. Most traders do not have patience for the setups they create. If there is no patience in trading, whether you are risking a small amount or a large one, you will definitely lose if you try to do everything in a hurry..

I think he wants to say that trading at any specific time of the day daily would not guarantee a profit. I have seen this mostly in the forex markets when the Australian markets open, there is usually some good spread and profit making opportunities. But that is only because forex markets does not operate 24/7 and have a fixed duration where they would stay open. But when it comes to cryptos, the markets are always open so I can hardly find any such way to make profits so I think that might be true.

Yes, I do find some opportunities right before the weekends but that pattern is not specific and changes over time so I do not really look for any such patterns of time but would analyse the charts because that makes me take way better decisions.
Forex markets work 24 hours a day on a daily basis, but these are closed on Saturday and Sunday. I mean, 24 hours with 5 days a week, but crypto is always working throughout the year without having any holidays. It's a big difference between them, but still, it's never been easy to have profit from them, as many are talking about them.
Crypto is now having nothing charming for investors, just Bitcoin helping to keep things on a good level. Overall, trading is always risky, but people who understand and have enough knowledge about a few points can make something that will help them have good results. Analysis is checking data, data that is always helpful, but still it's not working for everyone or every time.

You are right. Even though there is nothing wrong in chasing profits, one must understand that you can't make profit from every trade you make because that technically or logically impossible for someone to have a 100% accuracy rate in anything they do, perfection can't be find in anything, and we as traders need to understand this so that we can keep ourselves motivated and don't get sad or upset when we lose money in a trade, because at the end of the day, it's the long-term outcome that matters.

A trader who manages to stay profitable in the long run is actually a successful trader, because someone who makes $100 today but loses more than that within the next few days is not a good trader, they are just risk takers, or we could even say gamblers, because if you aren't able to maintain your win ratio, or at least keep it somewhat stable, then you are not a good trader, and you won't have good results in the long run, and in that case, you are just wasting your time and money in this.

It is true that trading does not always guarantee profit to anyone. Especially the crypto market is very volatile, if you want to make a profit here, you have to be patient in trading. The forex market and the crypto market are not completely the same, although the subject here is trading, the structure and strategy are different. However, no type of trading gives anyone the opportunity to make a special profit for trading at a specific time. If you can do good analysis and have enough patience, you can gradually achieve profit. However, profit is not always like this, sometimes there will be a loss, sometimes there will be a profit, and some profit will remain in the profit and loss average. Some traders cannot only make a profit. However, there are some opportunities that can be used to maintain a good profit, but not everyone can do that.
But the problem is that most traders lack patience. Even if they do good analysis, they overtrade and suffer losses due to not controlling their emotions. So if a trader loses six out of ten trades, but he follows proper risk management that is stop loss, then he is more likely to be in profit at the end of the month, So I think if you can be a little aware of revenge trading, then the chances of losing are a little reduced. At the end of the day there is no guarantee of profit. We have to accept that there will be profit and loss.

In my perspective trader needs to be aware of when to buy, sell, and avoid the market. He needs to learn to live by these values since opportunities don't always present themselves. If he is unable to identify an opportunity in the market, it would be better for him to wait and try again another day.

A trader must be extremely active and constantly keep an eye on the market because opportunities to buy or sell can arise at any time. If a trader does not actively monitor the markets, he will undoubtedly miss many opportunities that he could have taken advantage of to make money. Therefore, he will undoubtedly profit from trading as long as he is proactive, disciplined, consistent, and has a solid plan.

Someone and I were discussing about trading, he told me what some other traders have told me before. I told him it is the reason he is losing while trading. He wants to double his money within a month. Is this possible? Yes, but the probability of losing is very high.

You have $100 to trade but you want to earn $3 from it every day to make it $100 monthly. That looks small, but when you begin to trade, you will understand that it is not easy to achieve that. Are you achieving it?

I prefer 5x annually. That means from $100, you need to make a profit or $1.1 daily. But I also like 2x which is $0.55 profit daily. Which means patience and using low amount of money to trade.

Do you think he is right but not just understand how to make 2x return monthly?

The daily profit that I mean is totally monthly profit divided by 30 or total annual profit divided by 365.

A trader setting a target for the profit it want to make within a certain period has both advantages and disadvantages. But, considering the approach to meet the target, I would say it can easily lead to more disadvantages than advantages. This is because many traders aim will be on meeting their targets, which can make them enter the market at the wrong time, despite knowing that it is not the right time to trade. They may do this simply because they want to try their luck and meet their targets. So, it is better for a trader not to be too focused on setting profit targets because profit is not always guaranteed in trading, regardless of the amount of money someone have capital and the level of profit they hope to make whether or big.Trading involves both losses and profits, so experiencing continuous profits in trading is very hard.

Full time traders are the ones who pay attention to what is happening in the market every time. They monitor the market because they study the market to know the best time to buy and sell and they also know when the market is about to crash for them not to trade at the moment so for those who do not make much profit from trading, it is either because they do not stay active to observe the market or they are not experienced enough to know when to sell. If you are active but lack the best knowledge you may be losing even when the market is good for you to sell but to those traders who are very much experienced and active in the market they will always be at profit.

Well it depends on a strategy of a person and in which trading he put his 100$ in spot trading it is challenging but in futures trading it is possible but also it is risky if he put his 100 $ in a future trading and he knows the market follow his strategy and understand his emotions i mean if he is experienced and use a proper leverage and a proper stop loss then it is possible but if he/she has no experience doesn't know about the market and just act like a gambler then the probability of even breakeven is almost impossible. So it's all about experience.

Having the experience is not even a guarantee that you can be able to make that consistently in trading because a single bad news that you are unaware off can ruin everything, so it's near impossible to do it consistently.

And in addition to that, it is very common in trading that you can use a week to make a lot of money, then use a single bad trade or a day to lose everything, so knowing how, and experience is not a guarantee that it can be achieved consistently.

Speaking from experience, yes you can be profitable but some days you'll still hit loses. You can be waiting for a trade to hit your entry and once it those you either sell or buy only the market to go against you. You can have the best strategies but the market have the final say, now, people will say what's the need the technical analysis in forex that's why people say trading is gambling. The goal is for your profits to be higher than your losses

The goal is for your profits to be higher than your losses

That's the actual purpose of trading because you cannot be at the winning end all the time, no matter how good your analysis are. Even the top traders around the world still hit stop loss at a point when trading, but what separate them from others is their winning ratio, which is higher than their losing.

The set target by the op of making 2x monthly is achievable, and if he presses further he can achieve even more, but keeping such a low target with such a long timeframe will make him fail to achieve it because in derivative trading, you will have good and bad trade no matter how good you are, so setting a higher target is the only better way to hit such target consistently, if you are actually good in trading.

Actually, making small profits from trading is not very difficult but the thing is that even if you are satisfied with this profit for some time, at some point your greed will work and you will try to make bigger profit very quickly which will put you in loss. And seeing that loss, you will not be able to maintain your previous planning and consultancy. This is a big challenge to make profit from trading and maintain that profit.

Everything is possible in trading, but not everyone is consistent enough to enjoy the rewards.

Trading can make you wealthy for life, but how many people are willing to go through what it takes to get there? The pressure, pain, frustration, emotional trauma, and countless losses that make you question whether trading is really for you.

In the end, if you can endure and learn from your experiences, you may eventually enjoy the rewards of your hard work.

One of the best ways to stay consistent in trading is to treat it as a skill you are learning rather than a job that must pay all your bills. Yes, trading can eventually provide for you, but it takes time, patience, and discipline.

The moment you allow greed to take over your trading, that is when the losses begin. Losses are part of the game, but when greed takes control, losses become the game itself.

There is a level of professionalism you will attain in trading that you don't necessarily lose your money anymore, you can rather choose to wait until the trade reverse back to your price benchmark, but to do that you must be ready to chose to trade a pair that is strong not trading memecoins or other alternative coins that their price is highly volatile, choose coin like Bitcoin because you are sure that no matter how the price of Bitcoin dropped, it will recover it just matter of time.

Do you think he is right but not just understand how to make 2x return monthly?
Don't we think a daily target is risky and that is why many traders are losing. If for instance you have a daily target of $2 and you have your first trade that gives you $1, you may want to go in again even when your signal is not clear enough and that could turn to a loss of even $5 or $10 because you tried to force the market. But I think the best way is to have a longer time target of say like a week or month. This will not put a trader on pressure and you will be patient enough to wait for the right trade. Again, some trade order may be highly profitable above the suppose daily target which is used to support your losses or days that you didn't profit up to the daily target. So he can avoid daily target and put his target on monthly but accumulate profit gradually, that way the pressure will be taken off him.
Maybe the OP at first didn't ask himself if a trader needs to trade daily or a trader just need to when he sees a clear opportunity from his analysis because, it's so true that most why many traders lose a lot is because of certain unrealistic and difficult targets they place on themselves which in turn puts pressure on them that leads to what should have being an avoidable loss.
I do my trading only when I see opportunity in the market and I always make my target flexible allowing for adjustments so I don't feel pressured at achieving them by all means. Monthly or weekly is healthy target for a trader but definitely not daily.
I completely agree with this perspective. Trading should be about patience, discipline, and recognizing the right opportunities, not forcing trades just to meet a daily target. The market doesn't owe anyone a profit every day. Weekly or monthly goals can help reduce unnecessary pressure, but risk management and realistic expectations remain essential. Sometimes, the best trade is the one you choose not to take. 👏

Doubling his money within a month means that he is aiming to get a hundred percent which is technically possible but to be on the safer side it is better to aim for 50 percent profit so you don't take too many trades in the space of that one month, this what makes the probability of losing very high. A lot of traders end up overtrading that's the reason for that is because of the type of targets they set.

Quote

There is no amount that's easy to get in trading and for a lot of people they would not be willing to risk a lot for so little. The chances of achieving this is quite high but it still doesn't change the fact that there are no guarantees of always making profit from this.
