Countdown to the 2027 Presidential Election 🇳🇬

The president election is getting closer day by day, we are 116 days (3 months and 25days) away from the election.  On January 16th, 2027  we the citizens wil once again decide our faith and future on who to rule us for the next 4 years.

This upcoming election alone has made us witness alliances between rivals which didn't last up to 4 months ,defections, campaign promises(some candidates said they will bring back subsidy while others supports subsidy removal), arguments and plenty of social media battles before election day.

Now my question is what will be your deciding factor that will influence your voting decision this time? Will it be on these key issues;
Economy? Jobs? Security? Electricity? Food prices? Corruption? Infrastructure?
Or normal tribal favoritism?

One thing about this coming 2027 general election is that, just like other years, we are just speculators and wishers, not like we can tell what the election can bring. The power of incumbency is a big plus to the candidate of the All progressive Congress and we may not like his return but the odds seem to favour him at this point.

Away from that, I will support the NDC candidate, Peter Obi because he's the only one that looks ready with a clearer roadmap to deliver a better leadership among the candidates. He has track records and if Nigeria was a place where they celebrate integrity, then he will be the next president of Nigeria.

I have always been his fan since his first trial in 2023 but my likeness and conviction about his integrity came after he replied the current Anambra state government on the claim that he was owing a sum of about 127 million dollars when he left office, his reply was simple, his handing over note...

The entire nation has celebrated his genuity and his followers seem to have increased. I'm bothered that corruption may not allow the will of the citizens to happen but still, I choose my candidate and that's for the NDC because no other leader has stood to defend his past like he has shown.

First, I will start by pointing out the candidates that are seriously in the contest, not people that we know that they are just contesting as we have seen the AAC candidate Omoyele Sowere doing in the past few years, Tinubu, Atiku and Obi are the popular candidates, Seyi Makinde knows that he's joking, of course we can't take Sowore serious, because we know that he's not in the game, now my preferred candidate is Peter Obi, and it is only Nigerian electoral system that can make him not to win, if the election is a free and fair election which I doubt, Perter Obi Will be announced as the winner, but we have a system where the gladiators can do anything to return to power.

Although we do not know how this election is going to be like, but it will be very difficult for Tinubu to win the North, Atiku and Kwankwaso is not going to allow that happen, and Atiku will win more of the votes, North has a way of doing things, when it is time, they will do their thing, The real vote will never be shared and if that's is been maintained in other geopolitical zones, it will be difficult to announce the Real winner, Tinubu plan is to rig everything, but let's see if it will work that way.

For me the leadership of the incumbent leader is something i wouldn't like to experience again so he's not my preferred candidate, he's dailed in all sectors you mentioned and the worst of all is failure to tackle insecurity. The former VP Atiku Abubakar is a good businessman so there's possibility that the economy would flourish but I'm not sure about how he tends to tackle security.

I think I'll skip the rest and mention my preferred candidate cause sowore barely have a structure, he's cunning and doesn't suit being the president of the country. However Peter Obi of NDC has a good record as a governor of Anambra State, he's nade clear intentions on hoe to improve the economy, tackle insecurity, and other things hindering the progress of Nigeria in his interviews, to me he's the better candidate  if not him then Atiku.

My deciding factor that will influence my voting decision based on the options that you presented would be CORRUPTION if you kill corruption every other options would be taken care of, it is because of the high level of corruption that the country is where it is today. What we need is an incorruptible leader, a president that his precedence speaks for itself, I'm afraid that our current president doesn't poses this character because of the many corrupt allegations that are directed at him. Most importantly to observe is that this administration is almost over and a lot of Nigerians cannot boldly say that we have seen any realistic change in our economy, everything is going from bad to worse.

My candidate which is same with many well meaning Nigerians is Mr. Peter Obi, his track record both in business and politics speaks for itself, I believe that he is the man to move this country to an enviable height where it is supposed to be. Let us support Obi, with our votes and hope that our votes will count because many of us believes that the last election was rigged.

Let's see how it will be possible for him, "Tinubu," to rig the election as the incumbent president.

It's worth knowing that it's only Jonathan who has lost a presidential election as the incumbent president. The rest have won the presidential election through a magu-magu process.

Tinubu the Jagapan, as being called, says it's his turn to rule Nigeria, and he ruled Nigeria when the whole of Nigeria was against it. Is it now that he has the presidential power that he will lose his seat to someone else? This is what we will be concerned about because there's fire on the mountain for Nigerians to decide who will rule them and save them from the hardship and insecurity brought about by the APC-led government

I don't really like discussing politics but when I saw this post, I just felt compelled to say what is on my mind and that is, the current president of which is Bola Tinubu, will still win the next election. You don't have to doubt or bother yourself much because one fact I keep saying to my friends when they bring up this argument is that, Bola Tinubu won the presidential election while he wasn't in office by all means necessary and who is to stop him now that he is the president of this country with all the power in his disposal.
Let's not even talk about Atiku, because he ain't gonna win and Sowore doesn't even go close.

So whether the whole of Nigeria votes for someone else, just bear it in mind that Bola Tinubu will win the second time and am not saying that because am a politician but because as we have grown to understand politics in Nigeria, he stands a better chance to win a second term irrespective of the current hardship we all are facing in the country.

Assuming it is very impossible, i could suggest that Nigerian should stay without a president for one year, for us to be able sort out the major causes why Nigerian always be worster by any newly elected president in the country because to me all this candidates President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Peter Obi, Atiku Abubakar and Omoyele Sowore contesting for seat of president will not better the country from the way it is right now, I'm just speaking from the past experience from other past presidents and with that I'm just thinking who i can vote for because for my mind, Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Atiku Abubakar is out of the line on the people i want to vote for because  when Atiku Abubakar was Vice-president he didn't create any impact to the society and Bola Ahmed Tinubu records is even the worst of it all, so maybe before the election day my mind will definitely chose on the remaining from the other two i didn't talk about.

For me, I’ll look far away from tribal or religious identity of the candidates as a deciding factor for choosing a good leader. Na all of us dey this country, and we all know say better leader no be by where the person from, but by who the person really be and wetin him fit offer. Again, also looking at the history of each candidate, what they’ve done or achieved before can also be a good indicator or foundation for choosing a good leader. 
We all know that politicians are liars, so I can’t say what they’ve done promise to do, but at least we can look at how realistic their promises are, as well as what their plans are for the economy, security, jobs, infrastructure and cost of living.

Any politician can just come out of nowhere and say all manner of bullshit as promises, making it difficult to actually differentiate from what sounds good and what can actually be realistically achieved. Every Nigerian knows how we got here, and I believe we all know the right thing to do, because we know those who are responsible for our predicament, but if we are still foolish enough to put the same people who are responsible back in power, then we all will still bear the cross together.

All I can see is divided votes because this underlisted candidates couldn't come together and fight Tinubu so he won't come back for second tenure I don't see Sowere going anywhere he is just acting students unionism and nothing more. Peter Obi had his chance during the last elections and refused to go to Court and fight vigorously for his votes that was stolen and manipulated for Tinubu and since then I no longer have interest in him because he won't still fight for his votes even when the whole world sees that he was victimize and needed to seek redress in court.

Three months is just like 3 days from now and we will be approaching the elections very soon, all I can tell Nigerians is to vote their conscience and as for me I will vote Atiku Abubakar because I believe he will revive the dead economy we have and make the refineries work and Nigeria will be better again.

Peter Obi doesn't have any record of misusing public funds when he was the governor of Anambra state and he didn't spent money on unnecessarily things he's the most clean and sincere politician in Nigeria in my own opinion. If there's a chance of Nigeria getting better after the upcoming election, I think among all the presidential candidates you mentioned Peter Obi is the person I see would bring a positive change in Nigeria, so come 2027 I will vote for Peter Obi in the presidential election.
