Near was unable to get to all-time high. Its all-time high which was in 2022 is $19.88, but it increased to $9 in 2024. It later fell below $0.9 in 2026.

But probably some institutions are getting into crypto, you can read more about it.

You can invest in NEAR and later sell it. Do not wait for it to dump. I do not think now is the right time to buy because it increased significantly recently.

I made a mistake for not completing a sentence. I mean do not wait for it to dump if you invest in the coin if you are making money from it because altcoins can dump at anytime even when bitcoin continues to increase.

A coin will increase and some people will think it will still increase but later the coin will fall and it will be very fast.

Most Altcoins are unable to return to its ATH. And NEAR is no different. Of course, some changes happen that make it appreciate. But altcoins are still highly speculative (as other traders use it as such).

I wouldn't buy NEAR even if the use cases are strong.

NEAR Intents holds my $193K after a FAILED swap — 2 weeks of silence, and bans for asking

In mid-September I made a swap routed through NEAR Intents (1-Click): 575,830 TRX (~$193,000). Correlation ID: 0f3b4660-83ab-44a5-a462-f45e13696bb5.

The facts are all in NEAR's own systems. My deposit was bridged into their infrastructure — the NEAR blockchain shows an ft_deposit of the full amount into omft.near with owner intents.near. The next day, NEAR Intents' own official API marked the swap FAILED. It still shows: refundedAmount: 0, no delivery, no refund reason. The intent was never even created — the money went in, and nothing came out.

So the funds provably sit inside NEAR's own contracts. For two weeks: no refund, no explanation, no communication.

Every support channel failed. Discord ticket — redirected to Telegram. In Telegram, a moderator blocked me in the chat and in DMs for asking about this refund — twice, from two accounts. Ticket on near.com — no response. Email to the legal contact published on near.com — no response. Their own documentation says FAILED deposits "are currently handled manually." Two weeks of "manual handling" produced absolutely nothing.

$193,000 of customer money is sitting in NEAR's infrastructure with a FAILED status and a recorded refund address, and the company's response is silence and bans. If this is how NEAR Intents handles failed transactions, think twice before letting any serious amount touch this pipeline. I will update this review if the refund (correlation ID 0f3b4660-83ab-44a5-a462-f45e13696bb5) is ever processed.

If every investor were to go ahead and buy every coin that pumps, don't you think they might end up buying at the wrong time,which will lead to losses that they might not recover from, in that same coin they saw pumping in price earlier.

In crypto, don't advise someone to invest in any coin due to the way the coin has pumped so far in the short term, because that same pump can turn into a big dump in a matter of time. We have seen it happen to many of the top coins we know; NEAR is no different from the rest

Every good altcoin is worth investing when they become very cheap, especially at bear market. I think NEAR Is worth investing not because it's AI or cutting edge technology it offered but because the big market cap, and it's a pretty well known coin that has been here since 2021 and keep going up everytime it touched the bottom.

If I'm going to invest in altcoin like NEAR, which is outside the top 3, I'd invest it for the upside potential and clearly not for the AI, because I find no AI project in crypto is worth investing. Just being realstic. That price appreciation didn't happen because it was good AI blockchain, it happened because the market is going up as a whole.

The recent pump might have had more to do with the privacy narrative than AI. NEAR Intents recently introduced confidential swaps and confidential trading on Hyperliquid. It is not a privacy coin itself but it is still seen as beta to Zcash because of privacy features adopted by its related services. If Zcash continues doing well, I expect NEAR will also outperform the rest of the market.

Are you sure this was a pure technical issue and nothing else? because unlike Thorchain, NEAR intents have a built it mechanism for transaction and address screenings. I would try to use something like Scorechain or AMLBot on the address you used for depositing just to eliminate the possibility of this being related to the source of funds.

As for communicating with them, you may want to try X especially if you have a good following, or know people who do.
