-------------------------------------- ▀ ▄.@BTCfeesBot.▄ ▀-------------------------------------- Preview:  Features:- Get a quick summary of current mempool fees and recommendations;
- Set notifications for fee rate target;
- Receive TX conf. notifications (up to 3 TXIDs per user);
- Monitor wallet activity: incoming & outgoing TXs (up to 3 wallets per user);
- Fee Calculator (Simulation)
- More features to be added.
Data updates every minute, so the maximum notification delay is no more than 59 secs (barring issues with the mempool.space API endpoint). What data is collected:- Telegram UserID (naturally);
- TXIDs (optional);
- Wallet addresses (optional).
That’s all. Project background:I actually started developing this bot 2 years ago with multi-coin support (limited to fee recommendation alerts only), but I discontinued it because some API endpoints stopped working reliably (for free subs, hahaa) and altcoin fees tended to remain stable. Later, I came across information that led to this thread, prompting me to fill that gap and restructure my existing bot code to focus exclusively on the Bitcoin community. I would greatly appreciate any feedback and suggestions. -------------------------------------- ▀ ▄.@BTCfeesBot.▄ ▀--------------------------------------

I would greatly appreciate any feedback and suggestions. According to the bot, it only monitors incoming transactions for addresses, so it'd be nice to have another option that only monitors outgoing transactions. - BTW, does this also have the same three-limit that's present for transaction confirmations?Bookmarked

People who keep their funds in a cold wallet and want to monitor their wallet address would love this. If my fund ever moves, the bot will notify me. I have seen this before. But I don't remember the bot name. Well done RGBTC.

But I don't remember the bot name. Well done RGBTC. Thanks, that first suggestion really opened my mind. I'll note it down for future updrades; I'm currently working on another feature for the bot. - BTW, does this also have the same three-limit that's present for transaction confirmations? For now, there is no limit on the number of notifications for capturing incoming transactions (unconfirmed); the only limits are a maximum of three addresses per user and the option to enable notifications for unconfirmed TXids. I might relax these limitations in the future. I need to test how to handle high request volumes, considering mempool API limits and the fact that I'm running this on a cheap server, .

since it all hangs on one mempool.space endpoint, id show a small "data is stale" note when it fails. otherwise a missed alert looks exactly like nothing happened, and for someone watching a cold wallet thats the worst case

Congratulations on the initial launch! The bot looks useful, especially the real-time fee alerts and wallet monitoring. I’ll keep an eye on the project and share feedback as I test it. Good luck with the development.

@RGBTC, I haven't used your bot yet, but judging from the screenshots you have provided, I would like to request some new features/suggestion. 1. Add both Incoming and Outgoing transaction notification (Right now I can only see the incoming one). Any transaction that goes in or out - the owner should be notified. 2. Also include the USD value of the amount. Reading the BTC amount can be confusing at times. Example: Amount: 0.01 BTC - $85 - at the time of the event. 3. If possible also add a Total Balance at each incoming/outgoing transactions. 4. Make the TXID clickable and redirect it to a reputable blockchain explorer (for quickly checking the transaction status).
I have seen this before. But I don't remember the bot name.
You probably meant this one: [Telegram Bot] Wallet Transaction Notifier - @txnNotifierBot by PX-Z

Yeah, that’s the key point, and I wouldn't advise anyone to use my tool as a personal security alert system. Not at all. That is actually another reason why I was initially hesitant to add wallet spending activity monitoring. 3. 1. I just did add it; see the explanation below. 2 & 3. These are already in my upgrade plans, though I haven't reached that stage yet. Just stay tuned for the updates. 4. Well, this is exactly why you should give it a try. The address in the screenshot has always linked directly to the specific TXID URL. I intentionally made the TXID text clickable for cases where a user might have only copied that part.
Okay, so I’ve been working on two features simultaneously over the past few days: - Fee calculator simulation > you can find this in the "Fee Overview" menu. I’ve broken down the calculations based on the destination address type, spending options, and change address type (if sending a partial amount).
- Outgoing TX alerts > you can find this in the address menu. I made this feature optional, unlike incoming TX alerts, which activate immediately when the address is added.
Let me know if you spot any errors.

Ok here is my review (after using it for a day). It works that's for sure.. The outgoing notifications? I can't tell for sure, as I haven't sent anything yet. But the incoming one works as intended. As for the total balance and receiving/sending amounts in USD they are still not present. But I'm not bothered by it since you said, it's gonna be there on the next update. Lastly, I'm not sure whether you understood my 4th request! Yes the hash is clickable but that's it. What I proposed is that, it directly sends you to a blockchain explorer as you click on it (say mempool). So far, it's not that bad.

if you click on the address, you will get a TX link to mempool.space. Maybe I'll tuck the tx url link into the "amount" section so it's not confusing. Regarding BTC price, I'm still looking for an API point that gives me multiple fiat currency pairs (usd as default). Thanks for testing, by the way.

Is there a limitation from popular option like Coingecko API? As far as I'm aware they offer free option that support multiple fiat pairs. What about sources used by Electrum? As far as my experience goes some of them offers multiple fiat option too. I guess you won't be able to use their free plans if your tool become too popular, since there'll always be a monthly limit or something similar.

I haven't looked at the Electrum source code regarding price rates yet, but I recently found a free, keyless API endpoint with 167 fiat support; it provides hourly price updates and claims to have no request limits (and luckily, it got BTC as the sole cryptocurrency). I guess you won't be able to use their free plans if your tool become too popular, since there'll always be a monthly limit or something similar. Let's hope so, haha. I'm handling this using a local caching method, so it doesn't increase API requests even on the free tier.

Hey man, how ya doin'? So yeah, I have been using your bot ever since you published it (alongside the other one I previously mentioned). And both works as intended. But it would have been really really helpful if you added that USD equivalent value. I mean frankly speaking, I have no idea what's BTC0.000331200 is..! Furthermore, have you ever added the outgoing transactions? Because I just checked, and I don't see any transaction labelled as Outgoing. And lastly, please add some contact info (like your BTT profile or this thread link) to your "about" section, or the bots description. Cause, I had to forum search you/your tool ( I forgot your name lol).

well, i also have similar bot and i used coingecko API to give fiat value. here is the results of using that API i will not mentioned my bot since this is your announcement, however you can check the API here https://docs.coingecko.com/docs/fiat-currencies-supportjust try it and hopefully you can implemented it for your bot users
