I'm announcing DogKong v2, an experimental cryptocurrency I developed.
It's NOT an investment — it's a learning/hobby project.

MINING RULES:

- 1 miner per external IP
- Multiple nodes behind the same NAT will fork from the main chain
- Each VM needs its own public IP
- For seed nodes, use a static IP or a DNS domain (like DuckDNS)



FEATURES:
- CPU + 64MB RAM miner
- Built-in wallet
- P2P network (port 18555)
- Supply: 10 billion DOGK
- Block reward: 10,000 DOGK
- Block time: 60 seconds

HOW TO USE:
1. Download dogkong_v2.zip
2. Extract
3. Run DogKong.exe
4. Click "Minerar" (Mine)

WARNING: Windows may show a security alert (not a virus, just missing digital signature). Click "More info" → "Run anyway".

how to run in linux?  i downloaded the source and run
 python3 dogkong_v2.py   but got this error
dogkong_v2.py", line 925, in ripemd160
    from Crypto.Hash import RIPEMD160
ModuleNotFoundError: No module named 'Crypto'

Hi Sparks60,

You need to install pycryptodome:

pip install pycryptodome

If pip is not installed:

sudo apt install python3-pip
pip3 install pycryptodome

After that:

python3 dogkong_v2.py

If you want the standalone executable (Windows only), download here:
https://github.com/marquesslim-hue/DOGKONG/releases/latest

For Linux, you need the source + pycryptodome + tkinter:
sudo apt install python3-tk

here is way i got it to work in xubuntu 26

Solution 1: Use a Virtual Environment (Recommended)
sudo apt update
sudo apt install python3-venv
python3 -m venv venv
source venv/bin/activate
pip install pycryptodome
sudo apt install python3-tk
python3 dogkong_v2.py

i need to report some findings, i have a server with 8  separate vm nodes all running xubuntu 26 and mining , and some of the nodes is forking off main chain and losing blocks, as pulling way ahead of main chain. only way i can fix it is stop node, delete all chain data, and start over, and having to do this often. is there not some sort of fork protection?
