You are right because some investors end up selling their bitcoin because their emergency funds wasn’t enough to settle their problem but it is always advisable that we should build our investment along with our back up funds, emergency funds, and reserve funds so we don’t get caught up in situations like this and situations like this are likely to occur those that haven’t been in the system for long so probably they don’t have much emergency funds to to clear up the emergency or maybe some short term holders that called themselves investors but literally they are just trader so they neglect to spare some back up funds just because they will be selling soon.
But someone who have been in the system for long won’t get really messed up in situations like this to sell their bitcoin.
In a situation where your emergency fund isn't enough to sort out your emergency situations and you have no other options or assists available, you have every the right to sell part of your bitcoin investments to address the situations at hand since you can always buy it back later. You shouldn't allow an emergency to bring you to your knees when you still have an option available to address the crisis, if your emergency and your reserves wasn't enough to handle the situation,it is not your fault as some emergencies might simply be tougher than what your emergency & reserve fund can handle.  And if the only option that is available is your bitcoin investment, sell it at once and save yourself the trouble.

No one will like to blame someone who is forced to sell for the reasons you mentioned, OP. But what I just want to say is that it hardly happens, especially when someone follows the right steps when investing in Bitcoin. For example, always invest with discretionary funds, have an emergency fund, and try to have a stable source of income. Even if someone started investing without a stable source of income, they should try by all means to establish one. With that, we can always solve problems that may come up from time to time.

You will see that some investors are forced to sell, not because there is anything wrong with selling, but because they invested money that was not supposed to be invested in the first place. Some don't even have an emergency fund or a stable source of income. So, these kinds of people can easily be forced to sell, and they may have a good reason for selling. But when someone gets sick or faces another problem and has no means of getting the money they need, they may be forced to sell at a loss. That person will hardly regret what they sold Bitcoin for not because it was just a small problem that an emergency fund could have solved, but because they failed to build an emergency fund in the first place, which eventually forced them to sell.

Yes you have the right to sell if there is no other ways out of that situation, especially a situation of life and death and at the end of the day you never regret your actions because what you used it for is very important, every one have every right over their bitcoin and just as it sounds, there are consequences for every of our decision be it good or bad which we should hold ourselves accountable for at the end of the day, force selling your Bitcoin can be painful anyways because you never planned for that but life can be unpredictable and anything can happen to the extend where you have to take such hard decision.

I believe that every investor have a goal and if it happens that the situation happen when the person has met his target or got to overaccumulation stage then such person is allowed to sell, even though it's the other way round and it happens that someone's life would be lost if it's not sold,  to God who made me I'm selling off that coin to save life.

Imagine being in a critical situation and you have enough money in your wallet but refuse to sell off and save yourself then you entually die (not your portion) and the asset you're holding get missing forever cause no one close to you have access to your seeds. Mehn anyone who does that must be a foolish person.

If circumstances are not in your favor, you may have to sell your investments. If it becomes a matter of life and death, do not hesitate to sell your Bitcoin holdings. You can always rebuild your investments later, but a life lost cannot be brought back. Therefore, rather than worrying about Bitcoin, it is better to sell it in such a situation. Difficult times in life often strike unexpectedly; hence, we should build an emergency fund with the future and unforeseen crises in mind. Even if you already have an emergency fund, do not hesitate to sell your Bitcoin if the need arises.

This na one of those cases of Who no go, no know. I don dey such situation before, and I sell my bitcoins. No go risk your health say you dey save bitcoins because na who dey alive fit count money. Bitcoin no dey run, when things come back to normal you fit always buy am back.
When it comes to issues about health I don't think that it is advisable to keep Bitcoin investments if that's the only option that you have left, there are people that had the means of taking out money from their investments even though it isn't related to Bitcoin but still something that they put their money into but they took it lightly until they eventually lost their life, these are cases that I have witnessed before. When it comes to sensitive issues such as your health selling your Bitcoin is valid if the emergency fund left aside isn't enough to cover the hospital bills.

For this reason, it is wise to divide our security fund in several ways. Because there are many who rely only on their emergency fund and do not pay attention to creating all other funds. For example, they rely on emergency funds for small expenses, but if they do not only create an emergency fund, but also create other funds such as a reserve fund or a fund for health protection. In this way, if he creates separate funds, he will be able to deal with many big crises.

But yes, it is not that each fund has to have the same amount of money. You can keep more in the emergency fund and less in all other funds. Even then, if there is ever such a big crisis that all the funds together cannot deal with the crisis, then he should definitely sell Bitcoin and deal with the crisis.

I believe one of the reason people invest in Bitcoin is to make profit from it and then use the profit to do other reasonable and necessary things  when need be, if someone has a health issue and then the only option is to sell your investment to take care of that issue, I will suggest they gladly do that because health is wealth I mean if you don't take care of yourself how will have the strength to continue your investment. Our health is much more important than our so called investment because if you are strong you can even do better or greater.

I am thinking about one thing, basically in the case of Bitcoin investment we talk about not selling frequently and only holding for the long term. But one thing is that not all selling is due to fear or instability, there are some situations where a person wants to hold Bitcoin for the long term but real life situations can force him to sell which is called forced selling.
Investors are advised to keep emergency funds for cases like this. While you invest with your discritionary income you should take some percentage and also save aside for emergencies.

Although some emergency cases might be highly demanding thet the discritionary income itself would not be able to cover up, and in that case selling of your holdings ca be considered, however you shouldn't always have it in mind that your next option will always be to sell your coins, in a situation where by there is no other way to get money to settle your issue then that is when you should consider selling your coins.

I have been in this same situation in my early years here in the forum, it hit me so hard that I couldn't even meet up to make data subscription for a very long time. It is said that life will meet its obstacles, and when it becomes a life and death situation, it is only what you have as investment that can stand out to be a back bone when all others are not able to handle the situation. Emergency funds, and investment funds are all for the same purpose of either living the life to the fullest or taking care of it when it is becoming out of control. It is true that no one will just keep money for the days of sorrow, but we will certainly keep money for days of joy, and when sorrow approaches, we do everything to keep sorry away. It is only someone who is alive that will make investment choices and continue from where he stopped.

Is actually simple , that’s why I usually tell folks that bitcoin investment is not a race, do it at your own pace . Make sure you are investing the right way not the way that will make them thing that you gambling instead of investing. Gambling , like going into investing without allocating your money properly . Many are trying to be aggressive to the point they will start using money that’s suppose to be meant for emergency and back up funds .

Like they say health is wealth. There are some scenarios that will require you selling off from your bitcoin , in order to settle a certain emergency . But still having an emergency fund will also help to light things up , so for instance your emergency money wasn’t enough , and you are required to take from your investment to complete the amount needed for that emergency, your emergency funds is still going to cover up some part reducing the amount you are going to take from your investment.
Investing in bitcoin shouldn't be a competition because people are of different level in life, people should invest within their limit to reduce some unnecessary pressure, any one investing in bitcoin should have some source of income and not depend on their investment, to be able to hold your bitcoin for long emergency funds is needed, just with what you said having an emergency funds can help reduce the cost of the emergency that might arise not having it completely will affect your investment badly that you might sell off everything just to keep life going.

NO matter how much you revere or esteem bitcoin, there are situation that you will be into and you have no option that letting it go or even selling at a loss so as to take yourself out of that situation. The primary goal of every one while existing on the surface of the earth is that they may survive. it is after survival that other things comes into play. the moment your survival gets threatened, even the most precious things can be let go so you can survive.

Setting up emergency funds is just a means through which you protect yourself when uncertainty comes seeing that it does not always announce itself before coming. emergency can still come whether you invest or not and whether you have an emergency funds or not, your reduction in the degree of exposure to that level of risk is not dependent how the system you have set up to shield you from uncertainty.

That's true, life is more important than an investment, at the end of the day when a person dies due to negligence of his or her health or lack of proper care the Bitcoin investment won't mean anything at that point, it is even worse when they die and their family does not have access to their investment, everything ends up becoming a waste. Being alive and well should be the main priority before anything else.
