I greet ona my fellow country people.

in this topic i am going to channel this to the Crypto space and the things that do happen or occur around that some people has refused to learn from. So, some people or most people are aware of Crypto scam and some have been privileged to see a victim and how painful and frustrating it can be yet these folks sometimes allow their greed take over them. The root problem of this problem is that everyone wants to be rich overnight when they know fully well that, things does not work that way and so when they see someone who offered them a great return in the crypto, they will blindly invest when they know the possibility of that been true or working out successfully is very minimal instead they will say they want to try luck and at the end they will lose their money or asset. i have seen a lot of folks that has lost money because they want to try luck, one of friend who is into crypto, someone dropped a link on X telling people how much they stand to get if they click the link and sign up and i told her this is a scam and she said " i want to try and see if i will be lucky" unfortunately for her she lost about $100 and something in her account that was when she realized herself and was very helpless because a $100 was a big money back then.

THINGS TO DO  TO AVOID TRYING THIS KIND OF LUCK

1. Do not be overly carried away when you hear stuffs like this even though you are trying to make it in life because people who has made it in life does not make it that easy and there is even a popular saying that " nothing good comes so easily" so those stuffs should be considered a red flag

2. While striving..., try to be contented with what you have, it will really help

3. Change your mindset of becoming rich overnight, success is a gradual process

4. Do not be desperate to be rich because there a lots of wrong decisions and choices that can come from it

When you don’t have a planned risk strategy or understanding for the market and you said you just want to try your luck, then you’ll probably lose most if not all of your money chasing quick money.

As a beginner in the crypto space, you need to fully understand the market dynamics before you start chasing new projects thinking about getting rich overnight, most of the people you see making huge gains from new memecoins or shitcoins projects in the early stages are either insiders or experienced traders that understand the market really well. You can’t just jump into the market and start “trying your luck” else you’ll learn from experience..

Before you jump into any investment with a vision to gain profits, you need to eliminate the greedy urge to make quick profit because it doesn’t end well in most scenarios.

Sometimes people completely misunderstand that greed and ambition are two very different things, I remember when a friend told me about this stuff about inviting people, doing some tasks and making money, I told him I didn't want to waste my money and the guy's reply was that I didn't have any ambition. It's not just him anymore more, you will see people clearly trying to masquerade their greed as ambition as if say ne me dey wan deceive.

The problem here is that they know this things are scam outfits but they intentionally choose to live in denial, it's like they tell themselves 'if I believe it's real then it will be real for me' it's about time we stopped being dumb as to accept everything in good faith, this 2026 has shown us that hacking is one of the biggest ways people's money are being stolen these days, no just dey click link for your device anyhow.

If you are careless about clicking of links, you might live to regret it. the cyber space as it stands has more dangerous links than the good ones and regardless the reputation of the induvial that is sharing the link, the first and most important thing you ought to do is to check it out before proceeding.

If you de this naija and want de do trial and error, e go just be a matter of time before people go use you give example as to why it is necessary to be vigilant and not be greedy in this digital space. Is $100 a small amount? The moment you realize that there is nothing that is free even in free land you go man up face your hustle and na from that point to fall into scam go de hard you.

There are people that will always prefer to learn the hard way no matter how much warnings they've gotten from others who have probably gone through similar things. They always believe that they are the lucky ones A.K.A "God's favourite", so bad things can never happen to them. There is no such thing as let me try my luck, it's definitely a trap for gullible people who have refused to believe in the reality of life. Nothing good comes that easy especially in a society like ours where tribalism and man knows man is the order of the day.

Most people who get trapped in Crypto ponzi schemes knows exactly what they were going for, but the thing is that they foolishly think they're smarter than the inventors or that they're early to the game, which is not true most times. Ponzi is just an implementation of "Rob Peter to pay Paul". Most people come in optimistic they're the Paul and their luck will shine, meanwhile in the playbook of the scammers, they're the Peter in the picture.

Most people engage in such schemes intentionally for two reasons, greed and survival. Some people have lost hope since the economy isn't favoring them and they just want to try out anything with the promise of dividends and this is the major loophole exploited by scammers, they always target the desperate ones and make away with their funds since desperation sees people make emotional decisions instead of rational ones
