My own opinion is that greed and desperation to get rich quickly has made many people lose their money in crypto. Most times, someone  will warn you that it’s a scam but because you want to try your luck you will still go ahead to invest. Before you will even realize what’s  even going on your money must have disappeared. Let’s try and understand that not every opportunity we see in crypto is real.

 if the profit is to good to be truth the best thing is to do investigation before putting your money. Don’t allow desperation to make you lose the money that you work hard for.

Yes greed and desperation to appear successful the same way others have is one great reasons behind most failure in the crypto industry,  at times opportunities appears very real and and attractive but deep down they are fake with the aim of scamming investors and  the  greedy and desperate investors falls  into it.
Luck do exist in everything but we should not be carried away by uncontrollable greed because it is only through this can investors be scammed on the process.

That getting rich overnight, that was how alot of people were onboarded in the early days and majority of those persons entered with the mindset that if I put in some money then it will 3x or 5x and book I have made it big in crypto. So changing that mindset must be intentional and trying to learn things afresh. Investing in Bitcoin is a business and for every success business you must know the risk involved and you do this by engaging in personal research and developing yourself. Once you do that, the next step is pretty much laid out to you.

You must be patient while investing as well, otherwise you may not hit your target. If you do not know how to control your urges and how to be patient for the market, you will make terrible choices and certainly there will be no way of hitting your target.

This is very much a persona race, ignore why you see or hear from outside, if you do no understand it, do not invest thinking you don't want to miss out on anything. If you show due diligence, you will eventually get it later it mustnt be right now

The thing is greed and desperation will always be part of human life. Then imagine being in a country like Nigeria, with the bad economy. The thing is even if people know that something is scam, they will still fall victim because thee economy is giving them nothing to work or survive with. Nigeria economy is amongst a huge factor what some people keeps falling victims for things like this.

We should know that there is no free money in crypto, if you don’t invest, then don’t expect magic to get something from it. Regardless, when investing in crypt or bitcoin we should always use our discretionary income, so at the end we won’t lose more than we can afford and be blaming it on crypto.

No investment or business should be done out of luck or with the mentality that something would come out of it hopefully, this shows that there is no planning or structure involved, it is all based on luck which doesn't make you any different from a gambler. The desperation to get rich is the main problem here, this is the reason why a lot of people end up making financial mistakes that ends up ruining them completely.

When venturing into any market investment with the "Let me try luck thing " most times, instead of operating strategically on skills is not always reliable because random chances are beyond our specific or direct control and so, the outcome  becomes a case of uncertainty. For instance, take a dice and throw it, you cannot control the outcome of it and it is unreliable. You end up getting results like, High odds (very likely to happen) or Low odds (unlikely to happen) and even Better odds (Greater chance of happening). But a step with plans and strategy of a particular investment, let say, stock market or any  other markets that is not a try luck thing will give clear understanding of what the outcome would be.

Sometimes it's not even the aspect of knowledge because someone that's investing might actually know a lot but still end up losing because they are too greedy or eager to make money, this is common among lots of Nigerians, I don't know if I should blame this on the economy but for a lot of reasons they seem to be falling for scams and it's expected of them to have known better.

Making proper research before putting your money into any investment is very important, having the patience to actually learn is something that a lot of Nigerians don't have, they only focus on earning without giving much time to learning.

Making profits from Bitcoin or any investment is all about your level of knowledge, patience and discipline, this isn't a function of luck because it is not gambling. when people say that they want to try their luck when it comes to any investment you can already tell what their level of knowledge is. Most people only think about getting lucky when investing and not putting in effort because they want to get rich quick, this is like  pandemic in nigeria.
