I’m not saying anyone owes anybody person a shortcut. People should still put in the work and earn their progress but if you already have something and helping another person move forward doesn’t really take anything away from you, why not do it?
You do not damage what you have because you plan to help someone, what you're doing isn't being generous, you are being foolish because the way you expected the person to pay back the favor, may not likely be the case, some people are quick to forget the good you do for them, the reason why most people find it hard to do good in conditions that may in turn affect them.
Helping someone is quite alright, mostly people who are desperately in need, when it comes to helping with opportunities, you only help those who are ready to help themselves, unless they will drain you and make you regret extending your help.
