As a beginner in Bitcoin, you are in that stage of decision making on which path to tow, a bitcoin investor or trader. Some beginners who admire bitcoin investment are mostly known to be the patient guys, the long term believers. Another section of beginners don't have such patience, they prefer in taking risks and they are good risk takers mostly.

Recently, I was conversing with a friend who I've known to be a good trader and I admire him so much and wished I could do it , perhaps! When I told him how much I wished to learn trading he asked me this question, "How much do you love to sleep?" This was the point I knew I may never make it because I value my night sleep.

To be a good trader, you have to get rid of too much sleep to be a night trader because many traders seem to do better as night traders than day traders. If you love to sleep, you may also consider going into bitcoin investment except you want to settle for day trading.

Night trading is not for everyone, you must be fit and ready to combat sleep which may expose you to taking pills, drugs or other harmful substances to stay awake. Don't just choose your bitcoin goal (Trader/investor) based on profit alone, also consider it's effect on your whole body and psychology and screen time.

You can make money during the day or during the night. Do not mind him saying some traders make money more during night trading only, that is not true. There are days and nights that I lose money while trading.

But I think what he is telling you is that trading can deprive you of sleep. If you are a scalper or day traders, that is very true. If the position opened is not favouring you, you will be watching the market and before you will know, it may be 3 am already of no sleep. There are times that you may not even sleep overnight.

I prefer to trade during the day. Also any trade getting more than 7 pm, I make sure that I should close it for it not to become mid-night trading.

Be patient.
Be careful of trading.
Beginners should see it as gambling.
Do not increase your trading funds if you have not made profit from it in 6 months.
Learn about financial and trading risk management. Avoid high leverage and learn more about trading strategies and develop one that is best for you.

Lol, this is the first time I am hearing something like this that someone must first of all defeat sleep before he or she can succeed in trading. However, having such mindset doesn't change nothing to me or give me a different look about trading because it's still what it's.

So that's your friend is indirectly saying that once we can defeat or cancel our night sleep, automatically we can become so successful in trading. Is that what he means?  Because I'm still curious on how this whole thing can be a reality. Because the last time I checked, trading is pretty risky, not that safe or guaranteed in the long run. Its chances of survival in it is always very slim, so what're we talking about. If I am to look towards that direction of which I know it wouldn't be possible, trading with a little amount I can afford to lose is the best thing I will do since nothing is guaranteed.

Generally if we are being realistic here then day trading offers higher chances of profits than night trading, Not that night trading doesn’t offers profits but in day trading we stand the chances to make high profits than night trading.
In day trading there is always high liquidity because a lot of traders, investors, institution and big holders are live looking for positive means to make profits (that is the retail traders) while the big banks are looking for an inducement strategy to take advantages of the retail traders and liquidate them. so much chances of high profits if we know what we are doing but during night time there is always low liquidity because before 7pm almost 80% of traders have closed their positions because they focus much on New York session and London session while for night traders it the Asian session or Tokyo session.

However, one thing here is that day trader offers high chances of high profits but in that manner it comes with high risk because with just a mistake we can loss so especially when our risk management isn’t very effective but in night trading the risk are low.

Anyone thinking of getting into night trading should be aware of giving up their sleep obviously, yes this is a trading content but to be very honest this is a low quality post.
OP you should probably don't start a thread if it actually value is not sufficient, you write well but the content of the very post is not that significant to actual trading.

I came from the Meta section because I was interested in the reason for the question about moving this topic. OP, why did you decide that trading is necessary at night? I'm not a trader, but I'm wondering if all traders gather at a certain time. I don't want to offend anyone right now because I don't understand the topic..How will time zones and time differences affect you, OP? Where you think it's night, others may have day. What do you think about traders living in other time zones?🤔

Your friend saying night trader do make more money than the day traders is not true but might not entirely be a lie, what I have learnt about trading from a friend who is a trader is that every trader have their specific session in which they trade.

There are many sessions of trading which are the NewYork, Asian and the London session respectively, Also trading is mainly based on Algorithm and the Algorithm that uses NewYork time might be different from another country's time zone.

Depending on the session your friend is favourably using, the session he is using might be in the night if converted to your country's time zone and that might be why he told you that night traders make it big, based on what he knows and is favourably to him.

But saying that the night traders make it big more than the day traders is not true, every good traders make plenty of money being it in the day time or at night, it's just based on the session they are using to trade.

You don't have to trade 24 hours or stay awake all night to become a successful trader.

It's not only night traders that are makes profit in their trades. A trader can decide to focus on 6-8hour session daily, learn the behavior of the market during those hours and train their mind to ignore everything outside their stipulated trading time.

In trading, the discipline to stick to plan can be more profitable and important than hours spent.

Yes, the risk is always there and scares asf. I haven't been a trader but admire the art. I do more of short term investment in place of trading  or long term investment because it feels like I would never learn it from my first glance. What I think is that people have various reasons for every advise they give at every given time depending on who you met for advice.

I know that neither night nor day trading is devoid of risks or losses which is why a person will have to be fit both financially, mentally and psychologically before going into it which I think was the reason behind the question. Again I think there two types of tutors, the ones who sweet-mouth you into things without letting you know the bad side and those that only focus on telling you the limiting side instead of the good benefits too.
I came from the Meta section because I was interested in the reason for the question about moving this topic. OP, why did you decide that trading is necessary at night? I am not a trader too but I know of a friend that trades. I didn't also say that trading is only done in the night, but a friend's question got me curious as to whether it's always best to only trade at nights as I was beginning to admire some success stories he tells. I also know that there are days traders. I can learn trading but staying up at nights is a challenge if I'm to trade at nights.

As a beginner in Bitcoin, you are in that stage of decision making on which path to tow, a bitcoin investor or trader.
You can be the two if you want Smiley

Although there has to be good understanding.

I personally invest in Bitcoin and I also trade as well.

The trading aspect is not to buy and wait for Price to increase then you sell, or wait for Price go down and you try to buy hoping it will rally from there.. no, I do not support that one personally. If you go for good knowledge on building a daily trading strategy you can make some cool money by being a profitable day trader, although it is very difficult and risky, I had to pass through a very long process to be profitable, and a mentally normal person might have challenges trying to keep up, you have to be insane to an extent to keep up and get profitable, that's how demanding it is  Smiley

Meanwhile you can also invest in Bitcoin as your long term goal, that just like weekly savings for me as I invest every week, at the end of the day I do both trading and investments,

Overall making decisions on which one to do isn't really a big deal, you can go for either the easier which is investment, but if you want to go for the harder which is day trading like me, you should also do the easy one as well (2 in 1) you just have to, you just have to invest every week with DCA it's not that hard it's, the emotional terror you'll get from trading will make you have no emotions when it comes to your investment, you'll just keep doing it regardless of the price  Smiley

Long term Investment is safer, I will advise you to invest and not day trade, but if your ready to loose your money and mind a little bit to become a profitable trader, then you can also trade as well..

I love sleeping lol. That's why I use bots like Gunbot to make sure I get to trade 24/7.
(Yes, I am affiliated with it, if you want, you can PM me  Wink)

Well, if I'm not using bots, I would do swing trading, like just putting my order in depending on the TA that I would've done. It would make me less stressed and would really address your concern. I wouldn't want to watch it daily or consistently.

We all know that it's always with risk.

Night trading is not for everyone, you must be fit and ready to combat sleep which may expose you to taking pills, drugs or other harmful substances to stay awake.

Beyond the oft-repeated sleep is good for you, there’s some hardcore science to support the assertion.

A Duke University study published in the Journal of Neuroscience found that lack of sleep increases neural responses in parts of the brain associated with processing potential rewards, and decreases responses to potential losses. Basically, your brain blows out reward responses, and shrinks danger responses, which would lead to an extreme bias to chase upside, particularly worrisome when trading leveraged positions.

And in case you thought that the trade-off of staying up past your bedtime was you'll feel tired and know to be careful, a University of Zurich study limited sleep in its subjects to five hours a night over the course of one week. At the end of seven days, its participants acted much riskier while perceiving their own risk tolerance as unchanged. So when trading leveraged positions past 3am, you'll feel totally normal while your risk tolerance quietly climbs.

I have seen most people saying that night trading is always the best! Of course they could be right but what you must also think is that; there are people who are also training themselves to trade at night especially those that worked at the day time usually have time that they would be trading at night and if you have not trained yourself that way it will definitely affect you so much. But what you must also know is that the more you think there are less people trading at the night the more you get it wrongly because as I know, I can assumed it to be 60/40 because more people are also preparing themselves to be night traders. Let us not also forget about those people who also do trades at weekends, we barely mentioned about this people, of course there are weekend traders who do trade only on weekends.

OP I could not agree with you because in this case you talked about time zones but time does not run equally everywhere in the world because now if I have night here then it will be day in the opposite country of my country. But in your case of trading it must be the same in both night and day so in this case I cannot agree in any way that the profit and loss of trading will depend only on night and day. Your elder brother may have wanted to convey to you another hint where you have to be extra tense while investing or trading and you will not be able to sleep due to extra tension. Maybe your elder brother has told you something to convey this hint.

The point is, if you prefer sleeping, you won't be able to devote enough time to monitoring chart movements in front of your screen. Your friend was right to tell you that trading is not easy; it demands a significant amount of time and energy.
It makes no difference whether trading takes place during the day or at night, provided the right methods and strategies are used. The error likely lies in the claim that trading at night is more profitable; in reality, it simply comes down to how much time a trader has available to conduct their trading activities.

The crypto market is open 24hrs and you can make profit any time be it day or night. There is no guarantee that you will make profit at night, it's your trading strategy that will determine if you will be profitable or not. I don't know why some people that have little or no knowledge on trading come up with their own conclusion about trading which is wrong because they are gamblers.

I don't like staying awake at night and since, I have been trading, I haven't trade at night because it doesn't make sense to me after a hectic day at work.

Personally, I really can’t skip my nighttime sleep, except once in a while. So, yeah, trading at night is pretty difficult for me because I have trouble focusing when I’m sleepy. But luckily, I’m not a day trader. I only trade occasionally. Sometimes I only have one or two open positions, and sometimes I take profits over the course of a week or more, since my focus is on the medium term. As a result, my trading schedule is very light, so it doesn’t interfere with my sleep at all. But for day traders, well, most of them are even willing to sacrifice their sleep.

The title of the thread is crazy, but until you read through the thread, is when you are going to understand what the op is actually trying to say. I don't think that their is anything special when trading during the day or night because buyers and sellers are always in the market, due to a different time zone, and besides their is no special time when everyone will shut down because they want to take a nap.  What is more important is knowing what you are doing and how to make money from the market, because if you are not good at it, you will still be losing money, no matter the exact time you decide to trade.

I personally see no reason why I should be punishing myself and staying awake to trade when I can do it during the day. The only time I stay awake up to 1am because of a trade is when I have been monitoring an opportunity for a very long time, and I am sure that the 4hrs candle sticks will close that time, so I will stay awake till then to be sure on how the candle stick closes before deciding if i should take the trade or not, aside that, i see no reason to stay awake when i can still trade during the day.

To me I think there should be a little adjustment from the title to suit more of what the body is saying because those who loved posting through titles would be entirely out of the context.
To be honest, anyone must be successful in whatever they are doing must learn also learn do away with sleep because if they so much focused on sleep they could likely missed the whole process that is why some people do not like trading at night because they can’t trade their sleep for anything. It is true that we shouldn’t be that joking with our night rest, but at times we should be more awake at night to learn and study things we don’t know moreover since most people think that profits in trading is more at night trading, but I mean to say that if you know what you are doing you would also make profit from day trading but what I notice is that, at night trading you could focused more because there wouldn’t be any distractions at night while trading but they are likely the same even as many people have believed to say that night trading is more profitable.

Or one can just buy hold and sleep well.
A good sleep tend to help with Brain functions and an healthier lifestyle
I believe even for someone that thinks night is their time
They tend to sleep by the day.

I don't want to offend anyone right now because I don't understand the topic..How will time zones and time differences affect you, OP? Where you think it's night, others may have day. What do you think about traders living in other time zones?🤔
If I'm not mistaken most usually make use of the US time zone in measuring
Owing to the bias towards Wall Street been in the US and a trading zone.
