I have seen people do say that after winning big they won't gamble for that day again so that they wouldn't endup giving back the casino what they win from the site again. If I win huge amount of money, although which I think is not possible, I will prefer not to gamble for a period of time, but I will still later continue to gamble with small amount of money.

If I win small amount of money, I will withdraw the money also and gamble another day. I know I can lose the money another day, but that will be a fresh money that I have just earned and it will be very small.

You are expected to take life a day at a time. if you are able to get things right every single day, then you are already a winner in he field. as a matter of fact, if as a gambler you are able to stop gambling when you are wining and you do that over a long period of time, that is the surest way of being profitable. even though you are aware that after being disciplined today that the next day might be worse, it is still better to exit when you still can and wait for what happens the next day.

what you do today does not influence the outcome of your bet in the next trial so, it is better that if you are winning and you are able to stop gambling that you do so rather than giving it all out to the casino just because you are trying to chase for more win.

Let's look at it this way, you have the right to enjoy your wins, you'll still gamble another day and might still loose, but for that very day, you can choose to quit, withdraw your wins and use it for something important, instead of loosing it back to the casino if you continue playing.

If I win a huge amount, I would quit gambling for the day, because over-excitement might make me go above my normal budget and possibly loose it back. It is more like damage control, but I will surely be back. I think it depends entirely on the player’s strategy, if they win a big amount and decide not to play anymore that day, and that is part of their strategy, a strategy that works for them, then it’s the right decision. There are also players who believe they should keep playing after a big win because they feel that luck is on their side that day. It's good to stop after a huge win and if possible go on a long break in order for you to plan properly on what to use the money for. After you have invested the money, you can start gambling but in a responsible way. One thing with winning big at that moment is that, if you don't stop there's no guarantee that you will continue winning more money. Greed steals gamblers profit unknown to them.

Honestly, if i ever hit a massive jackpot, i like to think i would walk away forever.  The reality, however, is that I have never won a truly life-changing amount that I was satisfied with.  Consequently, everything I have ever won so far has gone back to the casino.  Maybe one day...

It's easy said than done, until you win big bet and put your talk in check, it's not easy to quit after winning big, the confidence and moral to win again when you win big is another level of control that's rare among gamblers. You hardly see a gambler who win big taking a break , they will always increase their stake hoping to win again.  This is one gambling problem that is hardly to overcome,  it happen to several times and I'm finding it hard to control it, if I win big I'll try to stake one high bet and they will cut me.

In all the years that I have been gambling, this is the approach that I am currently starting to develop.

Everytime I win big, I have this urge and tendency to gamble again in order to try again my luck. Before I used to believe that the more you gamble, the more chances that you could potentially win big. What I failed to realize is that it also goes the other direction- the more you gamble, the higher the chances of you losing in the process.

To answer your question OP: I would definitely quit if I win something huge. That will be the nail in the coffin for me to completely forget about gambling and move on from this destructive habit of mine.

It goes both ways but you have to completely fight the urge to gamble again after losing big.

Sometimes the best decision is to accept the loss and move on. Our natural humanistic reaction after we experienced a loss is to try to recover it by gambling again. However, this can potentially snowball into a bigger loss given that all the odds are against you.

Winning today and call it a day in order to lose it back the next day is still better than losing it back immediately, after winning because of greed. I prefer to go home with my win, enjoy it with friends and be happy than winning without anything to show for it because you lost it back to the casino. If I win $200 today and lose $20 tomorrow, I'm happy with myself.

This is the mistake that gamblers always make. You're gambling for profit and you got the profit instead, of going home, you want more. At the end, you will lose it all together with your capital. My point here is when you bet your potential payout can be bigger than what you stake, which means you are making let me say, 2x or more depending on the odds. Well I have not gotten that luck enough to win something big and if I did win a large amount someday in gambling, I would probably not gamble for about a month or even more. Because I know very well that the moment i go back to playing, I will likely to lose what I just won and even more.

Even though the money I have lost to gambling is still bigger than what I won, I don't think that's enough reason or an excuse to continue to gambling just because I want to earn back all the money I've lost.  Most times once I win a reasonable amount of money, I will just respect myself to withdraw the funds and quit for the day. Actually, it's not about avoiding bets that eventually return all the winnings to the casino. But I stop when I win to give myself time to enjoy the victory. Of course, it won't feel significant for small wins, but when you have a fairly large win, you will have enough time to enjoy it.
