Storing money has never been the best strategy to grow your wealth, that's because storing doesn't grow your money but it keeps it's value in tact or devalues it, what grows your money is investment and that's what we all should be doing if we want to make more money.

Hard work does give you leverage but smart work gives you more leverage and that's the best way of working as with smart work, you make your money work for you. I won't used hard work as a perfect word for explaining what you're trying to say but I'll used smart work where you invest your money because t's what determined if you're going to be resting early or keep on hustling until your older age.

Investing is the only way you can defeat inflation because if you aren't investing then your money will be devalued as inflation keeps on increasing. You don't necessary have to kill yourself with hard work because we're in the smart world era therefore we all have to learn to be smarter with our hustle than just working hard.

I doubt anyone keep storing as money, most of them does something with it but they can't become rich because their only source of income is salary, which is not increase as per the inflation rate and there is a high unemployment rate that collapses the job market all over the world, so you are lucky if you are getting a salary in 2026.

You won't believe it but there are people who really just save money and think that they can achieve things with it.

They are not risk takers just as we and they believe that saving is the best thing for them as a strategy to have the financial freedom.

I also agree with this and now I get it cleared by going through this explanation, a lot of people believe that hard work is not something that can be done to make you rich, but with all what I had read, I am convinced that it will be your beginning. What makes people to ignore this part is because they don't believe on it, because the kind of wealth they want is very huge and they are thinking is that making it through this hard work will not make them get to where they wanted.

The journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step, people only believe that getting capital from anywhere will be a successful investment but I disagreed, getting your capital from loan is a very big trap that will risk your investment, it will only take time but with consistency your dream will come true. If you want to maximize your wealth, save your bitcoin and spend your fiat because that will only depreciate its value in the long run.

But being wealthy in life isn't only possible with bitcoin alone, its a combination of different potential  assets that are known profitable for long term. Bitcoin is just one of it, diversification of assets paves an easier and faster way to achieve wealth in life.

Hard work has been talked down in this thread, and I'm sure almost everyone in the forum has put in hard work before in different areas of their careers. Some failed, and some got it right.

Hard work, for me, is the genesis where success starts from. Hard work paved the way for opportunities that got us that remote job. Bought the first laptop when working for a roadside food vendor. Paid for an online skill through payment from working in construction as a laborer. This is the story of most people who are now successful.

I believe the OP also mentioned investing in Bitcoin or other assets. The OP's perspective aligns with my uncle's experience—and likely what many others have felt. Back in 2015, my uncle already had a business and was able to save enough money to buy gold and land. However, he kept most of his wealth in cash because he felt that converting large amounts of gold into cash was somewhat difficult, and—regarding land—it is obviously hard to find a buyer quickly if you need immediate funds. In 2019, I suggested he allocate some of his money to Bitcoin and stocks, but I didn't dare push the idea too hard; I was afraid that if he suffered a loss, he would blame me. He remains quite successful with his business today and hasn't gone bankrupt. Yet, had he set aside a portion of his wealth for BTC or blue-chip stocks back then, his net worth might well be greater than it is now. This serves as proof that, just as the OP said, where you place your money can determine how you build your wealth.

I agree with you OP and this is the difference between those who are wealth and those who aren't. The smart ones put their extra funds into long term assets in order to save the value of their funds and to generate profit for them in the future. But those who don't understand this keep their savings in the bank and allow inflation to eat up the value and they become broke in future.

Bitcoin is a good asset to save your funds from inflation compared to any traditional investment and this is why, people are advise here in the forum to buy bitcoin and accumulate with DCA overtime so that, they can enjoy the little more they were able to use in accumulating bitcoin when they're old because Fiat losses its purchasing power overtime.

Some people are still stuck with this traditional system of banking and that’s why they’re yet to see the opportunity that’s out there in this digital era. Inflation eats up everything and affects every sector you can think of.

Except I'm investing I don't put my everyday money in Bitcoin, it's a volatile market so it will definitely affect me if I withdraw at a lower price compared to when I bought, so basically I invest regularly long term, but I don't involve my everyday money especially with the fact that I run a business. But I do save money in Bitcoin especially for long term savings

As human who needs to eat and pay bills, putting all your money on bitcoin will only make you to sell your bitcoin below the price you bought it anytime you need to solve any of your expenses, and just practice could force you to sell all your bitcoin. Since bitcoin is volatile in nature and it's not a quick to get rich scheme, it's advised you invest in bitcoin with discretionary income it will allow you to hold your bitcoin for the long term.

I am not disagreeing with what you have said but I've seen those folks who have became rich with bitcoin alone. They have been one of the earliest and also took risk during that period. And so, even if they didn't diversify a lot, they've made their riches through it and right now they're the ones who are diversifying from the profits they have made from Bitcoin. While getting rich takes time and we know it, I'm okay with reaching it in the slowest way that it can be. I'm currently building assets and although I am not that type of person who have stayed to be reliant to bitcoin alone, but at some point of my life in the past, I did.

Where you store your money actually matters a lot, because a time will come in one's life when their bones are weak, they can't do anything by themselves, and what will sustain them is the investment they were able to make when they were young and energetic. That's what they are going to be holding onto with their family.

As I do advise, make investments or have a business that will bring returns in case of old age or if your country's economy is not in good shape. Prepare ahead of time rather than saving up for an emergency without thinking about the future, what it will be like in old age.

Yes, the value of fiat will end up depreciating in the long run. But the risk of losing high due to the volatility of bitcoin is also a threat to investors. So instead of maximizing one way over the other, I still think going into both and create a balanced investment will be the best solution to acquire wealth. People living in countries with high inflation understand this very well. You can feel the difference in prices between the day you get paid and the end of the month. If you don't spend your money right away or convert it into a more stable currency, you can literally watch its value melt away.

yep, some people did become millionaires with bitcoin alone. what's even more surprising is that some of them started with very little capital.

but how many people actually pulled that off? and realistically, bitcoin is not going to pump millions of time over again like it did in the early day. so that idea just does not really work anymore.

There are many ways to preserve the value of one's assets, and I think it will depend on the economy of your country. If you are already living in a country where the currency is very valuable, do you really need to switch to something else? I doubt that.
Now, if you are in a third-world country or a country with nonstop civil war or political agendas, then you must really think about where you will put it to keep your wealth. Gold is a good choice. Bitcoin, yes. Some would go for USD, while others would go for valuable things. i.e., paintings or other types of art.

If you want to invest for a long time, you can invest your savings in Bitcoin and it must be for a few years. Forget about investing in Bitcoin for a short time and if you want to invest for a short time, then in that case you cannot do small business and you can use your capital there. Many people do not understand where to keep money for long-term investment. They always choose banks as trustworthy but over time if you keep money in the bank, it can decrease due to inflation. So the biggest opportunity for them is to either invest money in Bitcoin or invest in gold or land and keep it as a long-term investment. Bitcoin never guarantees profit in the short term.
