Mainnet and Testnet

VMESH Mainnet is the production VargaMesh network.

The Public Testnet is a separate development network using tVMESH.
It exists for node, wallet, mining, API and third-party integration testing.

VMESH and tVMESH are not interchangeable.

tVMESH has no monetary value and should never be represented or traded as
Mainnet VMESH.

VargaMesh Core v0.2.0
VargaMesh Core v0.2.0 is the first official binary release that includes
VargaMesh Mainnet and VargaMesh Public Testnet v1 in the same Core binaries.

Supported platforms

The Windows package is cross-compiled with the MinGW-w64 toolchain through the
repository's pinned depends system and is then executed on a Windows runner
before publication.

On Windows the programs use the .exe suffix.

Mainnet remains the default network.

Verification performed before publication
The release workflow requires all of the following to succeed before creating
the GitHub Release:

Linux x86_64 build.
Linux Mainnet daemon/RPC smoke test.
Linux VargaMesh Public Testnet v1 daemon/RPC smoke test.
Linux Mainnet vm1... wallet-address check.
Linux Testnet tvm1... wallet-address check.
Windows x86_64 MinGW-w64 cross-build.
Execution of all packaged Windows command-line programs on Windows.
Windows Mainnet daemon/RPC smoke test.
Windows VargaMesh Public Testnet v1 daemon/RPC smoke test.
Windows Mainnet vm1... wallet-address check.
Windows Testnet tvm1... wallet-address check.
SHA-256 checksums for both release archives.
The v0.2.0 tag and GitHub Release are created only after all build and smoke
test jobs pass.
