Politicians enthusiasts of cryptocurrencies: you trust?

Something needs to be considered; very few politicians do it, and I'm not a fan of any of them, only of those who I see as having never been politicians in their lives but rather taking up politics as another profession. Perhaps I see them as less corrupt and as having different ideas. One of them is Trump, and another is Bukele. Both are people who can make mistakes, but I see them as having acceptance for BTC, and anything they contribute to BTC and in favor of BTC will be welcome in my eyes.

Likewise, we are the ones who should have BTC, accumulating as much as we can. The price is still below the last all-time high, which is an indication that we should continue buying and taking advantage of each dip to buy more.

I have doubts about the altruism of such intentions. After all, politicians have a very compelling motive, as you said, to secure the support of the electorate.

Have we not seen over the years already that these politicians are not altruistic as they claim to be after they get voted into a public office? They sometimes don't have any decision of their own--- everything happens unanimously among the cabals when you hold a position. At least in my country, for the few people I have in political positions, that's what they complain of.

The hand-picking and Godfatherism that rules the political system has corrupted them so much that they have to take an oath to stay on the same lane and do only what they're told to do regardless of the outcome, so why should I trust people like that?? They come with smiley faces, bribe who wants to be bribed and make fake promises to the rest.

Those who have done politics by supporting Bitcoin have been successful and later they have not kept the promises they made on Bitcoin. That is why I think most of the politicians who try to attract the people with positive promises before the elections and are successful there and after being successful they never fulfill the promises they made to the people. You have seen many such politicians who were very active in the field of politics only to attract the people around Bitcoin and win. President Donald Trump who is called the Bitcoin President has not implemented any of the promises he made around Bitcoin.

It's the latter and elections are coming I guess and that's why they think is another agenda that they should side with. Because it's possible they've made research and seen numbers in the community.

Always put things when related to politics with a grain of salt.

You don't get to be disappointed in the end when you take things from them lightly. You know they're into politics and they can say that they like everybody even if they really don't.

Look, politics is different, they say any kind of thing to gain people's popularity. Because you see, politicians find weak points in the people, and talk about those weak points whose people vote for them or support them. At the current stage, politicians are using this Bitcoin in such a way that politicians are promoting this strategy among the people, and many people have started believing them. But I do not believe in politics because they can break their words at any time to fulfill their own interests,
because every politician promotes that they will provide security to the people but never proves it in reality. So I do not believe in the promotion of this Bitcoin by politicians.

If I am one of those politicians who are into bitcoin or altcoins,  I won't tell the world that I am into it and is buying or holding it because that would be a security threat personally and financially. Investing in crypto secretly and privately is the key. However, this is still an individual choice.

And the biggest liars today, if not the lawyers, then the politicians themselves because they trick the people for their personal greed and interest towards the government funds owned by the people.

Don't trust politicians claiming to be crypto experts... that's just bullshit, just like everyone else's opinion they just want to get support on Election Day. You know how Trump supports bitcoin? And that's the reality.

I don't know why talking about politicians, no one trusts him, especially as a representative of a country that will regulate laws, currently the crypto world is being squeezed, to make platforms do mass KYC, they also get benefits from taxes, politicians are on salaries and there are no politicians who are crypto experts.

We already have the impression that these politicians are serving at their own pleasure. They will make promises that are meant to be not followed when they sit on their positions. I guess that almost all countries doesn't trust their politicians and we have the call for them and belief that almost the majority of them are serving rich and not people. So when someone say that they're up for bitcoin, they're probably are but with some twist in it.

If this were to be the concern, then it doesn't suggest anything too bad because peoples choices differs based on the angle you are looking at it from. The fact that it is not easy to trust the average politician is basically because the speak from both side of their mouth. their being enthusiastic about bitcoin can be primarily based off what they stands to gain and after they have achieved that, nothing again matters to them about bitcoin.

I will only go in support of the last aspects of what is being quoted above; these politicians are not really convinced about Bitcoin or want to support it, but we all already know that everyone is trying to make a selling point that we pitch their recognition to the entire world on a particular thing of interest to the people, because the moment they emerge into power.

None of them will want to support the use of a decentralized network, as they will also be rendered ineffective over individuals' financial decisions and control; a perfect example is for us to see those already in leadership positions today: how many countries have supported the existence of a decentralized network like Bitcoin so that they can no longer have influence or control over their citizens' financial circumstances.

Many politicians make many promises before elections but in reality they do not fulfill their promises after being elected. I have seen many politicians playing politics with Bitcoin and they have achieved success while playing politics with Bitcoin but Bitcoin is still in its previous position. Politicians who do their job well and do not think of benefit for themselves do not need this because the people will want them to become politicians to guide us again. The vote is the right of the people, they have the right to give it to whomever they want, but politicians who are 2 number and play a big role in the destruction of the country get votes illegally. There are many such examples, but it is very important for us to believe in politics here. If they are doing something good, then we should take advantage of it and wherever there is injustice, we should question the politician as to why he is hiding in such wrongdoings. There are not many positive things about crypto in our country yet, so I do not believe in my country yet, even if they introduce it, I would prefer to work with a reliable country.

They support KYC and capital gain tax which are important for government system and they receive salary from that, so they don't actually support Bitcoin or cryptocurrency market and user communities. They try to make fake support to buy votes which are helpful for their political career if they actually succeed with such attempts.

KYC is dangerous but likely we will have to live with a fact that KYC is here to stay.

When a politician can be said to love cryptocurrencies like Bitcoin, in my opinion it all really depends on the actions of the individual politician, we can look at the politician's track record.

As far as I know, politicians' motivations for Bitcoin in my view are quite varied, so when they argue about supporting Bitcoin, for me there is no absolute answer to no or yes, the consequence is on the individual politician.

As far as I know, their support for Bitcoin also has personal goals, to increase profits to be used for campaigns and so on, but there is also a positive impact, when they become Bitcoin fans.

Politicians could be legit and some may support the cause but i wouldn’t take my decisions based on what a politician thinks of a certain cryptocurrency. Either they support or oppose them it wouldn’t influence what i think of a specific cryptocurrency as most of the politicians are part of a big manipulation, only a small percentage are legitimate but as i said earlier our decisions shouldn’t be influenced by what a specific politician thinks.

Some would genuinely support the idea of Bitcoin and what cryptocurrency represents. But also, many would hide under that to gain the popularity. That worked for Donald Trump.
