A friend want to venture into business and was asking me to share with him things that are involved that particular business, but to be frank I am not into that business for me to share idea with him. He said of wanting to venture into rearing of cattle's and how lucrative such business could be?
Please if there is any idea you can share here many I wouldn't mind sharing them with him to know what it takes to run such business.
Starting business is not the problem, maintaining the business is the main problem because so many people just decide to start business without having plans of where and how they will sell their market, so if they didn’t sell, they letter give up the business because they didn’t do research before starting. Before a person is supposed to make plans about his business they should learn from the best I mean those who have been in that field for a longer time so as for them to be guided on how they can actually make their business to move successfully. it's always very difficult for a person to start running a business on its own without seeking for knowledge or ideas from any source. Majority of the business that grew to a certain point and later fall to zero is due to the fact that they didn't have business ideas and knowledge because knowledge and idea will come first before plans, because without knowledge your plan might just go in vain or can not be achieved.

Cattle business is capital expensive. If your friend wants to start a business, he should start with what he's got an idea already and not he'll start with while learning it. Because if he's willing to burn money for the experience, he'll have that in that business but if he'll start with a business that he already know then the chance of succeeding is higher. Every business can be lucrative based on your case study and its ideals. I'd advise your friend to know his passions because it's easier to start a business with a thing or activity that you're passionate with.

Every business will be profitable if it is done properly, whether it is a big business or a small business. To start a business, one must be aware of some business strategies in advance. Since your friend is going to do cattle business, your friend must be knowledgeable enough about cattle diseases and cattle food and habitat. If he has to do business successfully, he must gain knowledge about the business he is going to start and he must always be active in how to succeed by establishing contact with those who have succeeded in this business in the past. Starting a business should not be done just in the hope of profit, but there are some important business tips that must be mastered in oneself.

The most in a business is to recognize your own business, the farm has a lot to know from the type of cow that you should recognize and in terms of disease, food, air temperature, water and other treatments so that your cattle grow well especially avoid disease or pests. Without good knowledge it is difficult to develop, I recommend that he enter the company of people in the field of animal husbandry and work at least 6 months to study, or study on his own on the internet is also not a problem if he really dares to do that. After the management of animals is complete then you need to build a good ecosystem to not only depend on income from cow's milk or beef as an end result, you can use waste such as cow dung to make bio gas or make organic fertilizer, and speaking of feed it is important for the farmer to understand how feed efficiency so that it does not become expensive and very durable but very nutritious, if you have further questions please!

I don't think succeeding in business necessarily start with passion. Passion can keep you going, sure, but it does not mean there is a market for what you love or that it'll actually make money. If a field has potential and you can understand it and run the business properly, that's reason enough to get into it. As for experience, nobody starts a business already knowing the game. Having some experience is definitely a plus. But if you don't, you don't have to know everything from day one. You can just start, learn and stack up experience along the way. Fail? It can happen, but that part of starting a business. Bottom line, if you wanna do business, get out of your comfort zone first and be ready to tackle whatever gets thrown at you. If you are not down to take risks and eat few losses, you are probably not ready to start business in the first place, tbh.

The success of every given business is absolutely in the hand of the owner, how you are able to manage the business properly, and able to withstand the changes such business will bring as you venture into it. Cattle rearing can be a very stressful business the way I look at it, and especially if you want to rear it yourself. I equally know that if you succeed in the business, you will equally make good money but the challenges lies in the task behind the business. Another thing you also have to put in consideration is if you want to handle it yourself or you want to place it in the care of another person. If you want to handle it yourself, also consider if you can be able to face , and withstand the task involved, then you can resolve within yourself if really you can do it or not.

Rearing of cattle is not a bad idea. It is profitable if things work out perfectly. But just like any other business, there is a possibility for you to lose some times, especially when the cattle are still small. Sometimes, some of them might die due to the harsh weather condition, when there is excessive heat or cold. They require proper treatment, care and management in terms of handling, feeding, watering as well as medical treatment when necessary. And again, the more you feed them and care for them, the more healthier and faster they will grow. Doing business can sometimes be difficult, challenging and complicated, so, your friend must be well prepared to handle all the challenges that comes with cattle rearing. Because it is his responsibility to ensure that the cattles adapt and get familiar with their current environment. And it is his responsibility to ensure that the cattles receives the care that they need.

He said of wanting to venture into rearing of cattle's and how lucrative such business could be? Someone took the "bull market" a little bit too literally. Best advice is to spend a few weeks with someone already rearing cattle, even for free. He'll learn more there than from any forum. That's a rule of thumb for all businesses. If you want to start an online business, it'd be extremely helpful you got a sales job for some company first.

And you thought the best place to get advice about animal farming would be from a bitcoin forum? Not the best choice imo.
Your friend can find all the information he needs on the internet. Download books on cattle farming, watch YouTube videos, and approach farmers in your city for advice.
Well, you have a point, this is probably not the best avenue to ask for advice on this but a lot of people know that the forum is a space that where you can get vast information and it includes a lot of things about business, crypto and so on. Although like you said, he has a better chance of getting more information In that particular area from watching YouTube videos and reading books. Cattle rearing is a delicate and professional business and you cannot just take people's word for it, you need practical knowledge because any little mistake can affect this business and it can lead to lots of losses.

This step is good for becoming economically self-sufficient, but it is more difficult and labor-intensive to be effective. Setting up an animal husbandry farm is quite expensive. Because animals have to be bought based on money and raised accordingly. For example: if you are skilled enough with animals, then this business can be profitable otherwise, it cannot. Because the goal of this business should be to earn 40-50% through sales after a maximum of one year. - Which livestock are you interested in raising (bulls or cows)?
- The right place for this is rural areas land for grazing green grass is needed next to the farm.
- You must be sufficiently hardworking and involved in it.
- Finally, proper care and medical arrangements must be maintained.

I don't know why people keep bothering others on what they can do research about online. There is a lot of YouTube videos on lecture concerning livestock farming, and he can as well ask meta AI on his WhatsApp, everything will be displayed from A-Z. Well if he insists on either cattle, sheep, pig, fish and poultry farm, it's a good and lucrative business. But there is no assurance that he will succeed emidiately, one thing people do is to look after profit without doing proper research to know the risk associated with it, and they will end up losing when they are too focused on profit instead ways to improve and be productive. There is no business without risk, he should start small, I think $100 can start that business with just a male and female depending on what it costs in your location, them he can build a pen for them and be feeding them till they grow up and start reproducing. That business is a business of patience, not what you venture and start making profit instantly.

If one wanted to start a business, he must have a knack for it. You say that your friend is into rearing cattles, so what line is he into? anyway, here are some link that can help your friend with some information about rearing cattles. https://www.cattlytics.com/blog/guide-for-raising-cattle-for-beginners/https://www.farmersweekly.co.za/farming-basics/how-to-livestock/develop-manage-small-beef-cattle-herd/https://ahdb.org.uk/knowledge-library/husbandry-and-management-of-beef-cattleI don't think succeeding in business necessarily start with passion. Passion can keep you going, sure, but it does not mean there is a market for what you love or that it'll actually make money. If a field has potential and you can understand it and run the business properly, that's reason enough to get into it. The passion to earn money can get one going, and if one has a knack for rearing cattle and finding customers or clients, together with proper financial management, I think the person will be successful in this kind of Business. The passion to earn money will be his inexhaustible fuel to reach his goal. One may have potential and understanding about the business, but he don't have any passion to use them to earn money, then his performance will always be minimal. As for experience, nobody starts a business already knowing the game. Having some experience is definitely a plus. But if you don't, you don't have to know everything from day one. You can just start, learn and stack up experience along the way. Fail? It can happen, but that part of starting a business. If it was the person's first time of establishing a business, probably, but in most cases, people who establish businesses aligned to their previous jobs would have the knowledge or idea of how the business works. Bottom line, if you wanna do business, get out of your comfort zone first and be ready to tackle whatever gets thrown at you. If you are not down to take risks and eat few losses, you are probably not ready to start business in the first place, tbh.
Well said, one has to take risks in establishing a business, this is like getting out of our comfort zone to explore riskier things to gain more. I have seen many people who establish business that do not get out of their comfort zone, and they fail misserably in the end.

But you're right that success doesn't really means that you'll have to do what you're passionate about. And for someone who's asking which type of business is profitable, they better start with what they are passionate about. Otherwise, they'll have to research what they think they'll to do. Because if you have no passion with what you'll do as a business, it will not be long and that businessman might get out of business. Yes, that is what I am saying. He should have at least the idea or he's passionate with to make the beginning of it easier. And he won't notice how tiring it is to start it because that's the most exhausting moments, when you start.

I’m just another person who fell for a post with a catchy, attention-grabbing headline. The title was great for sparking discussion, but the actual content... well, let's just say "lol." Anyway, let's move on. It requires sufficient feed, a spacious area for the enclosure, and a layout designed for convenience—specifically, one that is easy to clean. As for the land, you simply need to calculate the cost based on local property prices. You also have to factor in the cost of materials for the enclosure. Then there’s the expense of feed and medication. It all adds up to a significant amount. The minimum age for sale is reached after a four-year cycle.

There are a thousand ways you would sort to get this information you are asking for, I mean there is the internet and even agricultural gurus because for information like this, it's best to ask and get the answers from the horses mouth. Because I know that experience is the best option to give anyone advice on matters like this. The forum is a big place no doubt but I don't know how many people would be there to provide you that concrete information you are looking for

Maybe your friend should have consulted someone who already has some experience running similar business. Cattle farming does have a lot of benefits but we can't ignore the labour work required. Cattle farming does not just require huge initial capital but is highly labour intensive so not every region offers benefits for cattle farming. One needs to find cheap labour to get the dirty work done and also your friend can think about investing in high-end machineries rather than trusting the generic ones.
I know a few people owning small scale cattle farms but their experiences are not really good. Land is an important part here. If your friend has some agricultural land, they can surely think of cattle farming but purchasing or renting properties might not be a good start for him.

I don't think OP made a complain about capital, he wanted to start a business like cattle rearing because it's lucrative and it make sense. However, it's how he intend to rear them that will cost him. If we look at the mortality rate of cattle rearing, the number is small compared to poultry farming. You can have 10 cattles in a pen and all of them are going to survive if you give them right treatment and feed them very well but you can't do the same for poultry farming, 5/10 might survive, the rest will die before maturity. If this is a Nigerian, I will say he should go for it, there is open grazing in Nigeria where you don't have to go through alot to feed your animals. As long as you can control them and not cause nuisance to environment, you can rear cattles. Just get a Vet that will be coming for their check ups incase of any disease or sickness, to give them better treatment.

Every business has its own ups and downs, so to start any business we should do research on it and get information from those individuals who are already in that business. No doubt cattle farming is one of the most profitable businesses in the world and even in our country, but it's not just about buying and selling cows. Your friend must have knowledge of the expenses of farming, like the purchase of healthy animals, animal feed, veterinary clinic, electricity, or disease prevention costs, because in cattle farming this estimation is very important. The most important thing is the selection of category of farm, like, for which purpose they want to invest, like in dairy products, meat production or for just selling and purchasing purposes.
As mentioned already, the business goes further than just buying and selling cows, and there are some things that you require to have knowledge on; things that are not very obvious, but they contribute largely to your business to know if you will be successful or not. You may never be able to identify one of these things that you should actually know while getting into this business if you are not pointed in that direction by someone who has more expertise in it than you do. After all this discussion, I suggest your friend start the business at a small scale so that he learns from it easily and adopts the improvements early on,
Learning on the go is possible; the business owner just needs to be very observant and sharp to learn the lessons quickly as they come up.
