There are quite a few TED Talks about this. It’s not about how much you know, but about having a plan and knowing what level of knowledge you actually need before you start.

When we intend to start up something be it business, crypto minvestment, trading and other things acquiring knowledge or doing research is the first step to take before starting up any of these but when you start focusing on the things you have learnt about all of these you start feeling reluctant to execute because there's a standard you set in your head and you will always think that you are not ready yet because you know too much.

if you keep on waiting for it to be perfect you might just spend years doing nothing, but when you execute even though it's not perfect you can gradually make improvements. The standard of what you are starting doesn't have to be as perfect as what you picture in your head, this is why too much knowledge on a particular thing keeps people limited, they see flaw and error in everything or assume it's not good enough.

Do doers do more good than thinkers, or are their minds only good when they start something? I keep seeing a lot of these memes and motivational videos about the "doer vs thinker," but I think they have their own advantages and disadvantages. It's not that doer was at the top of the pyramid when it comes to execution, but thinkers or I sometimes refer them as perfectionist is using time to their advantage and it's not like they are slacking.

In anything that has to do with business and investments, it doesn’t do without research analysis first...except that the person that wants to venture into this two things i mentioned, is a novice, and is desperate to venture into the investment without knowing the procedures...

Already, not making research before investing, is one of the major things that contributes almost 85% of some investors and business owners losing woefully...Anyone that wants its business to excel, you most at undergoes seminar or search, that will throw more light for the person to know the advantages and disadvantages of what is about to go into...I agree with your theory...

However, when it comes to crypto trading or investing. Compared to all other types of businesses, trading in crypto poses a lot of risks, If you just dare to enter the field here, there is a fear that the entire capital will be zero due to the wrong decision. But instead of sitting idle and trying to achieve perfection, you must begin doing things practically using small amounts of capital. This increases practical experience, and even if you make a mistake in the beginning, you don't have to suffer a big financial loss. It is not possible to know the market only by observing it, rather it becomes necessary to invest some capital from your own pocket.

The problem with the newly investors is that they feel they can do everything and get it done without seek for a little help from others or make their own research on how they can control the market. And when it comes to trading acquiring knowledge is very important, not like the investment that with the little knowledge and frequency practice they can get everything right.

Trading is involve of so many risks and I still wonder how some people choose it over the investment, it’s truth that everybody have his own choice but that will not lead me to enter the field that will not favor me, because that’s what most of people do; some will just jump into the trading field without sufficient knowledge and experience thinking that the capital is important thing in trading.

Good point op, knowing too much might not make you take a step when you are supposed to because you are only going to see that the risks and not the opportunities. Knowledge is important especially when it comes to starting up an investment or whatever you want to venture into but knowledge without action is a waste. One common mistake that I see a lot of people make is that they plan to learn everything there is to know about something before getting into it, but no one can be an island of knowledge, even if you have unlimited time you cannot know everything.


The real knowledge that you need is actually practicality, you need to make efforts to start up something instead of overthinking about the outcome and trying to figure out if it is going to work or not. I know a lot of people with sound knowledge at their Craft but they are not achieved half of most people with little knowledge have been able to achieve, all because what they know makes them uncertain of themselves.

Knowing too much is an advantage, I can rephrase the whole of what you’ve said and what I see in your description is a person with low self esteem, someone who doesn’t like to go through rough periods, what makes a man great is the battles he fought and never gave up, every business has one and more rough edges, nothing great comes always at a platter.

One thing to know, the journey will never be smooth as we think it to be, “A journey of a thousand miles begins with a step” how can you achieve all you wanted, without motion.

I can agree with you here. Excess knowledge has never harmed anyone. Knowledge is what enlightens our mind and helps us to focus on the task. Without knowledge, we would get distracted quite fast and would need to spend comparably more time. There is ample of knowledge out there and it is not possible for one to have the complete knowledge but even a fraction seems a lot. Knowledge is not something given in schools or universities, it comes with real life experiences.

If the journey was that smooth, everyone would be on top of the ladder. But the difficulty is something that makes the process more interesting and challenging. All we need to do is take the first step and remain consistent even if we face failure at the very initial stage.

How do a person even venture into something without knowing anything about the business or investment, except if they just want to lead themselves into loss. It has been a major cause of failure in businesses and investments. The first step is always learning about the business or investment before anything else. What I don't agree with is people feeling reluctant to start because they think they know too much. How is it even possible? Instead they should feel too confident because they already know so much and not the other way around.

There's never a perfect time, you just have to start at some point else you will never get started. There are some knowledge you can't even get on paper because they are gained after you've started the business or investment.
