Any company that wants to avoid being hacked should quickly double their security.

There are still so many or hacks could be individual or platform that did not make the news for several reasons, I hope we don't have any more mainstream hacks and people can actually start applying more caution and be security alert.

It's just so sad that what people have built over the years is been broken and attempts are made to syphon there funds to an unknown destination. Companies should be more careful, getting more Securities to protect there assets from fraudsters. These hacks would indirectly affect customers because they can't use the casinos again, and while some will be more sceptical to use the companies site. Something should be done, else, we might be seen more of these hacks im coming weeks or months.

Sometimes, these hacks happen, not because the platform’s security firewalls aren’t good enough, but simply due to minor bugs, negligence or even insider threats that gradually becomes a loophole and these are what hackers thrive on. This is actually true. To me, this has been one of the wildest years for crypto hacks. It feels like hackers have stepped up their game and are planning massive heists on many of these platforms.The recent hacks involving Bitget and Bybit happened almost immediately and I was quite surprised when I heard the news because both platforms are major players in the crypto space. The fact is that hackers are constantly looking for vulnerabilities in online systems, and if these platforms are not careful, the attacks will continue. What they should focus on right now is thoroughly reviewing their security systems and making sure they leave no stone unturned. If hackers are constantly looking for ways to break into these systems, then these platforms need to double down on their security and make it as strong as possible.

This list wild.. taking into consideration the amount of money that has been lost to these hackers alone...i don't want to start making speculation and assumptions but with the advancement of AI there have been so many security breaches.. not just to casinos or crypto companies even government agencies and banks have had their own share of breaches. What other security measures are you proposing that users should take apart from keeping self custody? Most of the hacks that were reported happened on centralized platforms. These platforms are the ones that need to make sure that their security is doubled. Individuals can only make sure that they don’t store their assets in these centralized platforms to avoid losing their assets.

Hacking can only decline if these platforms are equally investing in their security. They don’t have to feel relaxed thinking everything they have on ground now is enough to protect them because hackers are investing heavily to get new updates that will help them override the security of these centralized platforms. The level of hacks that are happening only shows that these platforms weren’t investing enough in their securities.

So creating lists becomes less and less useful to the individual. These things will continue to happen like how companies are getting hacked on a daily basis, but the reason is also to some part because there are so many companies in the world and since almost all of them have IT systems now there are hacks all the time. There are only 365 days in a year, so with a large number of companies with IT systems it is just a matter of numbers that we reach this kind of situation.

What matters more and what could tell us something is to analyze year over year trends to see if hacks are becoming more and less frequent. But for that a simple analysis of total number of hacks or total value hacked would be very flawed. You have to factor in for the changes in the size of the industry and the value circulating in it, and then you could take a look to see what is going on. So maybe a thread like this but expanded to include several years.

You didn't understand then what I wrote. As the space continues to become bigger and bigger, there will be thousands, maybe even more than 10 000 hacks per year. What is the benefit of reading about them or compiling lists about it? Do people normally read all the time how companies get hacked for phones and software that they use? I don't think that they do that is very few people do, so we need to learn the futility of the practice by reasoning and the data that we have on these topics from the social perspective. As an industry becomes bigger so does the number of hacks grow, and with that each hack becomes less important to the individual and lists continue to lose relevance. This is not the year 2014 where Mt Gox was hacked anymore. Back then it was the most massive player and there were very few others, so that kind of situation affected most people who are in crypto.

Some shitcoin contracts, DEXs, bridges, or other services like that are being hacked regularly because they are made by low quality professionals. They aim to make money fast, they deliver low quality code. What does it matter to the average person or even less to someone who likes Bitcoin?

You don't need to exaggerate, if we experience about 10,000 hacks in a year, what will be left, and how much crypto will be left outside stolen funds? We have experienced a serious number of hacks on big platforms, it was a very bad year, both cold wallets and hot wallets were vulnerable to attacks, and many investors regretted using those wallets that got involved.

Customers who lost their funds in exchange hacks are getting their funds back, while for cold wallets, it seems all efforts to trace where all the coins went and retrieve them are going to no avail. Customers are withdrawing their funds already, after the Bitget hack.

All these instances you spoke of here are man made, and can be avoided if those in charge of security in these top platforms are not unserious, careless or lack knowledge on how this scammers or hackers carries out their activities.

 As for the inside threat you spoke of, it's still falls under theft, because if you place a thief as a gate keeper, you can be rest assured that you would be robbed in no distance time, so those are the lapses that needs to be taken out, because these scammers are only looking for a loopholes or inside information on how to strike, so a single act of careless or ignorance wouldn't be spared.

No, you can see $7 million and $8 million hacks among it. If you research about it, you will understand better. In January 2026 alone, there are over 200 crypto hacks.  In September 2026, there are hundreds of hacks that have happened.
