If the raise they get will only goes to their debts, then this is temporarily more on relief than having a life improvements.

They could probably find the real relief and also progress, once they  are paid with those obligations they have. Then choose not to go back on that miserable situation or cycle.

But many people struggle to be in good situation, since bad decision always hit them so bad. This is the reason why they undergo on situation on which they need to work so hard just to maintain their current lifestyle.

Yes, bad decisions or simply an unfortunate combination of circumstances can throw a person far back. And for them to return to their former state takes years. After all, the problem isn't only that they can't earn as much as they need. The main obstacle lies in the fact that the psychological state suffers greatly and critically deteriorates the longer financial problems persist. And at some point, even if opportunities to improve one's financial situation do appear, the person is already simply completely out of strength, in a depressed state, and cannot take full advantage of these opportunities to pull themselves out.

Well, people should learn how to live below their means, when you know you are staying in a house that is expensive and you ain't able to afford it, you should simply relocate and get a cheeper house to rent, you don't need to pressure yourself or spend all your savings, so even if you are earning huge amount of money and you don't understand money management, you will never be satisfied with your salary, yes salary should be increased, but people should learn how to spend as they earn. You can reduce your meal to two times daily and you will still be healthy, you don't need to eat luxury. Don't buy unnecessary things that you don't need, don't give out when you don't have, learn how to discipline yourself financially and you will be able to live comfortably with your 500 dollar salary without looking broke or begging. Earning more also helps you avoid taking loans and borrowing things from people like foodstuffs, clothes and other things.

In reality, Someone can move from earning $500 to $1,000 a month and still feel like nothing really changed. the reason in most cases is that Rent also increases, food costs more, transportation gets more expensive, and suddenly that extra $500 doesn't feel like much anymore.
When people sources of income increases, then they always tend to increase their own test also. If you are increasing your income, and you are increasing your test, then what you are earning isn’t still going to be enough for you. Because if you are spending $100 weekly before, you are going to increase it to maybe $150 or $200 immediately your source of income increases, which it’s just going to be like you earning the same money.

If you want to grow in life, you just have to plan yourself, just because you are earning more doesn’t mean you should spend more also. Just spend on the basic things which you need, and invest in other things which you are suppose to invest in.

It's normal for people to improve their standard of living when they get higher income but an increased income doesn't make them richer if their expenses still covers their income, what people should strive for is getting more income that can cover expenses without affecting their income.

For instance the income is $1000 while monthly expenses is $200, there would be enough to put into other things that would bring more money, like different forms of investment or a business. However a good planing would help reduce expenses when tbe income isn't excessively much to cover expenses.

When your income doubles or 3x, your purchasing power must also increases but if your case is getting double salary and what you are spending the money on is also doubled in value it's not a financial step up at all, you are getting refitted in the same spot that you were once in, I believe I am a different person compared to many others, I can make a lot of money in a month and live like someone who makes so less amount of money, I have gotten used to this lifestyle myself and it has help me in Bitcoin investment and other investments too, this is the way to move forward.

Earning more money and being financially comfortable are two different situation in the present day global economy. that you are earning more than your previous salary doesn't always mean you're financially better off.

In reality, Someone can move from earning $500 to $1,000 a month and still feel like nothing really changed. the reason in most cases is that Rent also increases, food costs more, transportation gets more expensive, and suddenly that extra $500 doesn't feel like much anymore.

It begs the question, is increased income really a good measure of financial progress?

If your income keeps increasing but the things you need also keeps becoming more expensive, are you getting richer, or you're simply earning more money to maintain the same lifestyle?
Increased income is never a good measure of financial progress because the country can have high inflation and your salary can increase every month, but if the purchasing power of your salary decreases even though it grows in numbers, it means that you are doing badly.

Today, businesses increase the price of their products and services while employees continue working on the same old salary. In order to survive, many people have to work extra hours or a second job. Today, we really are working harder to maintain a worse lifestyle than we had because, by working more, you don't have time.

To maintain a certain lifestyle depend on the type of lifestyle and the person income. If you are someone who spends extravagantly, then you need to have a higher and sustainable income to maintain such lifestyle.  You can not maintain your extravagant lifestyle when your income isn't increasing. Inflation is bitting harder, costs of things and services are going higher, the costs of your lifestyle in the previous year may not be the same this year. If your earnings or salary isn't increasing, then you need to lower your expenses, otherwise there's a possibility that you might start looking for who to borrow money from to maintain your extravagant lifestyle which is bad for your finances.
Yes you explained very well, if we do not controle the extravagant lifestyle then earning more will not give benefit. Moreover it is also fact that nowadays everyone of us is doing double efforts then they did previous few years. The reason is uncontrollable wave of inflation, that make impossible to maintain same lifestyle. Although there are many opportunities of jobs available and directly or indirectly sources of income, that wete not present before, or mostly people try to engage themselves in more than one job. But even then it doesn't mean that people build lavish lifestyle.

Its inflation that highly affects the people not only people routine but also affects their mindset. They become more materialistic or keep themselves busy in different jobs. Even almost all members are taking part in managing the expenses, those who are students try to do something as part time job.  It is prove that nowadays, high prices of everything thing force the people for doing hard work not for attaining the high life standards but because fulfilling their daily need.

The equation is simple, if your pay is going up at a slower rate than inflation you are earning less each year. Which means to maintain the lifestyle you either need to work extra hours, find a second job or figure out some way to get a pay rise. It's often the case that you'll only get a pay rise by moving jobs and is what many do, however you need to build up an impressive CV and if it shows you moving jobs more frequently than every 2-3 years you're likely to put off future employers. Getting back to inflation, we see a headline rate which is often based on snapshots of common goods and services, but this can miss big spikes in certain areas so your actual inflation rate is more personalized based on your lifestyle and what you consider necessities. The answer to your simplest question though, is that everyone seeks to increase their income but the benefits they get from it is much more complex.

Well if you ask me I will say that such salary increase is just to maintain thesame lifestyle due to economic inflation. The major reason why foods, house rent, clothing and other things keep plumating higher is because of economic inflation and salary increase sometimes help to stabilize the situation instead of solving the problem. In this situation it feels like your salary has increased a bit while it was just adjusted to meet up with the current price of things at hand. So in my own understanding salary increase only become more useful when  there are no inflation.  And you become Richer when you invest into other things instead of depending on salary.

In my view, you become wealthier when you don't worry that your salary might not cover your mandatory expenses. It's not even about the amount, not about the numbers, but specifically about this confidence that a certain part of your income completely and under any conditions covers the necessary spending. And with whatever exceeds it, you can already decide what to do next. And investing doesn't always give a sense of financial fulfillment. Sometimes you feel wealthy when you consistently have enough for everything, and you still have extra left in reserve.

It mostly happens that when income or sources of income increase the first thing a person does is improve their lifestyle because the things or desires that were abandoned earlier will be fulfilled due to which we will feel more like our income is the same as before.Yes it may be that you want to secure or improve the future considering the current situation then you will have to act frugally and you will have to stop thinking about fulfilling those desires because investing is a good way to improve the future, but it must be done with the right method and thought because there is no room for error that is why caution is also necessary. You have to first think whether you want to improve the current situation or secure the future forever.

You have rise an important point, despite the inflation the salary increases and other things also increases such like taxation, I don't know for other places but in my own country this such thing normally happen and again the salary increase does not still meet up with the current price and that is how people still continue to suffer. It is very difficult for a civil servant to engage in another thing, that is another separate investment of his own because the money they are giving them as salary Is Not Enough, it cannot even take care of all their needs and that is why we are seriously facing a lot of challenges when it comes to this minimum wage of a thing.
