We are writing to bring an important compliance matter to your attention.
As part of our ongoing compliance obligations, we have published a non-exhaustive list of Restricted Counterparties - view list. You cannot send crypto to them or receive crypto from them using your account, whether directly or indirectly. We may add Restricted Counterparties to this list at any time, and we may restrict a transfer involving a counterparty that is not yet on the list.
Governments have sanctioned these counterparties. Section 23 of the Bybit Platform Terms and Conditions and Section 28 of the BVAPO Platform Terms and Conditions (as applicable) doesn't allow you to use your account to transfer to or from a Restricted Counterparty.
Three things to know
- Crypto transfers are public. Anyone can see that your wallet has been sent to or received from these platforms. That record comes from the transfer itself, not from anything you tell us.
- These restrictions apply regardless of transaction value.
- Your own country's rules may also apply to you, and they may go further to take action on this. Please review your position accordingly.
What we will do
- As per Section 23 of the Bybit Platform Terms and Conditions and Section 28 of the BVAPO Platform Terms and Conditions (as applicable), we'll reject any transfer you send to a Restricted Counterparty;
- We will hold any transfer you receive from one, directly or indirectly. Sanctions laws may require us to continue holding it, and we may not be able to release it to you or return it to the sender.
- Your account with us may be suspended or closed.
What you need to do
- Review the Restricted Counterparty List.
- Refrain from sending or accepting crypto transfers to or from these platforms.
- If you hold crypto with one of them, you will need to seek your own legal advice. We will restrict transfers from a Restricted Counterparty, directly or indirectly.
