Yeah, in this part of the world many people keep saying that they won't start a business because they are afraid of what people will say. But I keep asking them that are they doing that business to impress people or they are doing it in other to create a source of income from there? Sometimes I feel that most people lack sense of reasoning, personally whatever thing I want to do I don't care what people will say so long as the business is suitable for me or that's the business my instincts tells me to start I will start it without looking at anybody's face as a matter of fact, I raised the capital myself not them.

Ironically, the people who offer us commentary are often the ones least qualified or competent to do so. Those who speak negatively about starting a business usually do not run businesses of their own; a business owner typically wouldn't criticize you for attempting to launch a venture. I respect anyone who works a 9-to-5 job. They are employees who may not start a business because they feel unsuited for it—and that is perfectly fine. I also respect those who have just started a business. Even if it is on a small scale, they are attempting to build something of their own, stepping out of their comfort zones, managing numerous responsibilities, and creating jobs for others.

There is joy in doing one's own work. On the path of life, people will talk a lot and many will stand in front of us, but we have to ignore all those obstacles and move forward. No matter how small our work is, it is my personal work and there is no shame in this work. There are many people in our society who are very ashamed of doing small work, but for me it is completely foolish, because if I live in hardship and do not eat, then no one will give me food, and if I live in hardship, no one will share my suffering. It is better to do any work with respect and we should never sit in fear of what people will say, it will increase our suffering.

There are a lot of doubts before it even starts, while it is still in our imagination. Although our hearts are pushing us to do it, our minds stop us because we are already assuming what will happen. Mind over matter. Doubting ourselves. Scared of the unknown.

A 9 to 5 job is a good funding machine so it will be risky to quit, a regular job is a good funding machine for your future business. Instead of jumping into the market in an empty-handed manner all because of pure excitement, like smart hustlers use their monthly office salary to pay their rent, buy their initial business equipment, and also use the funds to test their idea without panicking too much. Having a steady and consistent paycheck will give you the confidence to never worry about not having funds to pay for the next meal while still trying hard to hustle and grow a side business. So a traditional job is not a waste of time.

This is for people that stay in an environment where they put high standards on somethings to neglect other way of earning. There are some society where people make minor jobs lesser of something even though they are not as bad as they look. What's there in looking for alternative way to make money when it's not like those people are going to feed you, the people you are considering might talk might not even look at you when you have nothing.

I have something to say about people that also have study until they reach a PhD level before they finally admit their career mistake. Why would you study a particular course and study like your life depend on it when you have ways to do other jobs. If you don't do PhD what is going to happened or some people don't know when to stop. If I have masters in a filed and it doesn't put food on my table, I will not continue again.

What happen is that people are mostly focus on social status, how people will see them when they start doin a miniature business when they are PhD and Master degree Holders. Pride and educational qualification can himser a person progress. The secret of becoming wealthy is being self independent and this involved being able to do some jobs that are not pleasant according to your standard. There is a saying that business that is profitable always package itself dirty. Dirty business is where theoney comes, don't misinterpret me please, "dirty " I mean are those jobs that look common or don't look pleasant in the eye's are the most profitable business. You just need to give it a trial and see how far you go. Idany graduate can be able to pit certificate in the bag and look for some street work, they will grow.

What causes backwardness in most people is mindset. You grow up and believe to be a pilot or mechanical engineer , you even study and graduated but couldn't secure a job, but since your brain is shaped to believe you must make it through what you study, you would never move an inch to try other things. Human brain is like the computer system, it only function base on the software you install. The brain can install many software and function simultaneously, but if you don't try it out you will never know.

As long as life continues, we will have people that are career driven and others will just look for capital and start a business that sustains them so they can at least take care of their basic needs. everyone ca not be like that and if a country plans to grow and become better, we need people that are winning to spend years doing thorough research in the field they are and become core expert that are capable of changing the narrative of things in her nation.

A nation does not grow by the existence of so many small businesses. as much as those business helps the economy to an extent, the big industry key layers are far more useful for a nations growth than common small business owners.

It's our life so I don't really like the idea about thinking about other people. These people would just be a part of our life for a very little time but it is us who has to face the impact. If we are stuck in the job only because of people, we can never really get the strength to quit and that would actually kill our dreams. Job is never going to be sufficient because more than half of the salaries would always go to pay the dues. The only good thing with job is that we get a stable source but that stable income will never suffice luxuries.

I think our business can only thrive if we are selfish and do not really think about these people. The only way to keep focus on track is to look at the bigger picture. Starting a business can bring rough days at the initial stage but maybe after a few years, we won't need to rely on any other source.

I say local economy because there are some persons who may have considered starting a business but imagine this scenario, you havnt even started your main business but you are thinking about electricity, thinking about good roads around your business, then you have to consider security, now all these problems are meant to be solved or provided for when you pay rent or normal taxes but when your in an environment that things are not working the way they should, you will start seeing people doubting.

The truth about what you are saying is that some people still prefer the routine kind of job where they work for people and receive salary because they lack the initiative to start up their own business even if they have the capital. There are people that their families have started businesses for at different times but they end up squandering the capital. In other words, doing business is relative. Those people who can not manage their own business would prefer to work for someone in a regulated environment. It is not basically their fault but because they genetically can not indulge in the critical task of building their own business.

However, it is no ruse that there is more benefit in running a personal business than working for someone. The benefit is not only in the financial edge above 9-5 jobs but you also have your own time, freedom and space. You can plan your self away from work so long you have staff to manage your business. Like you also gave the example of a PHD holder whose salary may not be as fat as that of a street seller, there are different instances of that in third world countries that lack good financial enumeration for academia. In third world countries, the most lucrative job to engage in is belonging to a political party and full time politics. Third world countries have less acknowledgement for academic excellence and politics is the debacle that causes economic stagnation.

In this concern we see a big problem in our mentality. After getting educated, most people think that if they start a small business or job, people may say various bad things about them. Apart from this, there are some other things, such as family pressure, lack of capital, lack of business experience and fear of loss. Still, it is much better to start something small according to your ability than just waiting for a good job. Someone can start on a small scale by buying and selling online, doing food business or doing any service they know. Even if it is in the beginning, it will increase experience, acquaintance and people's confidence a lot, which will give you a good result when you go to do your next big business or job. The most important thing is not to underestimate any work because what seems small today may one day be the basis of a big business.

Why most people says that is because the kind of business they are thinking to start is below their standard, maybe they might have completed a higher degree and then their expectations failed them, so the little amount they could grab to do a menial business that's below their certificate degree.

It is a fact that whenever you want to think about doing something special, you will always face hatred or discouraging remarks. Or they just gives you list of weaknesses that lies in you according to them. Or the most interesting part of it that the people are not strangers but they are those so-called friends or supporters. Because of their remarks or judgement you always hold yourself back from taking steps for any new business or job. I here wants to give an advice that avoids to discuss too much  about your plan. Silently works untill you won't get your results. Important thing is to take first step for your plan, because if you are  not serious today, then tomorrow will never come. You are right, so start whatever you think, make consistent effort , your consistency surely one day change the mindset of those who thought you were useless.

If you want to start up something like a business or whatever it is and you keep listening to what people may have to say then you are not ready to get started. People would definitely find ways to discourage you and the negativities might not allow you execute your plans. It is one of biggest things: what people will say and it is stopping people from trying new and different things. People are afraid of starting small. They are worried that people will judge them for starting small business rather than spending years in job that they do not enjoy or for which they do not get good salary. Starting business does not mean taking a blind risk person can do business along with current income and he can test whether his idea is actually going to work or not and then he can grow his business to become stable. There is nothing wrong with having well paying job either. The problem is staying in same situation just because you are worried about people's opinions.
It is nature of the people to look down on the people who are not doing good jobs but if that person is working hard, earning honestly,  supporting the family and then building things for themselves, there is nothing to be ashamed of. It is the nature of the people when they see something new and different, they always look down on it, talk about it for a few days and then they move on with their own lives.

You're not far from the truth, yeah I'm also in the view that those who criticize a person that is about venturing into a business can't even run a business. Some do that to poison ones mind so that they will be in the same class with them(class of people that doesn't have a business). Sure this is exactly what most guys do, and those who are naive and doesn't have the ability to make right choices would take such advice thinking that it's the best advice, But it is obviously not the best but a misleading advice. That is why I tend to discuss my business plans by myself, people can only see it when its been established.

1. Worthless, useless comments from others. SKIP them.
2. Feedback from others that is valuable and constructive. (Filter – Analyze – Decide)
Aside from that, don't give it another thought.

Focus on the business plan you have created. Establish contingency plans for specific scenarios. Ensure everything is based on:
- Analysis
- Target market
-  Needs
- Budget planning and funding sources
- And other strategies essential to the business. Everything must be managed wisely and thoughtfully.
