Exactly. I think the bigger issue would probably be the psychological shock rather than the actual increase in supply. The market could panic simply because Satoshi moved his coins would become one of the biggest headlines in Bitcoin history. But sooner or later, it would just become another story from the past. I agree with your point that those coins can only enter the market once. If they are eventually sold and absorbed by the market, the supply shock won't remain an ongoing problem. Ironically, the biggest FUD might happen before the coins are even sold, as investors could suddenly start moving their long term holdings and selling because they don't want to get caught in the middle of the panic.

But on the brighter side, that could also create an opportunity for people who are willing to buy more BTC at lower prices. It would take some courage to see that situation as an opportunity rather than a reason to panic. So yeah, I think we should stop creating so much fear around the old “what if Satoshi returns?” or “what if he moves his coins?” stories. There are always going to be uncertainty in the market. Reading the posts under the thread, I think we're a bit being conclusive that if Satoshi moves his coins, it'll be most likely to sell. Moving the coins should be separated the possibility of them being sold. If Satoshi becomes active today, he might be making announcement of his return by moving a substantial number of the coins in his wallet, that will not increase Bitcoin's circulating supply.
Where the market will be thrown under intense pressure is if a significant amount  actually enter the market for sale. But before then, most of the initial reaction would be driven by reactions to fear and speculation instead of the actual selling pressure.

There is always a possibility in uncertain things.  We are uncertain whether Satoshi as a person is alive or as a group, still around, so the possibility of Satoshi's Bitcoin being moved is always there. Obviously, if Satoshi's Bitcoin is moved, this will be the major talk on the internet, and depending on where these Bitcoins are moved, the Bitcoin market price will react on it.  If it were just a move to another Bitcoin address and not on an exchange, I believe the hype and FUD about the explosive news will caught attentions of more people.  And depending on which one becomes dominant, the Bitcoin market price will react according to it.

The question is actually good because it will help everyone who have Bitcoin investment to know what would really happen if Satoshi decides to withdraw his coin. I think this will create a world wide tention amongst investors as to what happened to there investment.
Fear that it was a leak in Bitcoin security by scammers if there is no formal publicity to inform the investors that it is not what they think it was. I don't think it will take too long before the market will recover because the Blockchains continue to work as it has been, but more security measures needs to be put in place to tightening and protect the block chain the more.

The question surrounding this is larger. Let me start by saying not everyone who moves their money from one wallet to the other actually does it because they are selling. Some move money out for the purpose of security to keep it in a better place, which might be considered more safe, while the action of some people are base on other things as for SATOSHI I doubt any of this is going to be the case as the coins might never move since that will give out clue of who is moving them.

Almost everyone currently active in the Bitcoin space would be shocked—not because Satoshi moved his Bitcoin (whether it was 1.1 million coins or merely 0.1) to sell, but because the process turned out not to be anonymous at all, allowing the authorities who had been searching for him to locate him immediately. Regarding a potential sale, there would certainly be downward pressure on the price due to the massive volume, but things would eventually return to normal. If Satoshi sells his coins, a lot of people's confidence in bitcoin would shake and it would trigger a bad perception towards the longevity of bitcoin since even the creator is dumping his coins and exiting the market. A corresponding FUD will follow and bitcoin price may crash much further than just 5%-7%.

A crash much bigger than 5-7% could happen if Satoshi sold all his coins at once at a publicly known exchange. D'accord.

However, that is extremely unlikely. Why should they do that?

First, there are around 20,000 addresses Satoshi would have to move to exchanges. That alone would fill several blocks.

Second, if he wants a good price, I would do the following strategy: first move a few coins from the Patoshi addresses, wait for the panic dip to happen and recover, and then simply sell OTC or on exchanges Arkham and Chainalysis don't know.

A quite good strategy would be to move a few coins to Monero and anonymize them. That could give Monero a significant pump, because it would be spectacular news for a small altcoin that Bitcoin's creator is using it. And Satoshi then could sell his Monero "incognito" for fiat. Perhaps this effect would even be bigger if he used Grin because Grin is so tiny, but it is a coin appreciated by "crypto nerds", and thus Satoshi could multiply his fortune x10 perhaps .

He could also move all his coins, in a few weeks, to different addresses via P2WPKH. This would signal the market that he knows about the quantum risk and wants to secure his coins from potential hackers, and thus probably the effect on the price would be neutral or even positive instead of negative as the whole "Quantum Satoshi FUD" theory would be moot. And if he sells them afterwards, he'd get a better price.

it will raise the question as to his existence or as in the article, if the wallet containing his Bitcoin has been hacked. It's going to raise a lot of questions, but confirmation is going to be hard to obtain, I think.

The only thing that makes me confident that Satoshi's Bitcoin will move is that his identity has been discovered.

This means there is a possibility that things related to him will soon be revealed. However, I doubt that will happen, as Satoshi Nakamatoro is a very private person.

How could someone who understands cryptography allow themselves to be exposed ? So, I think Satoshi is very aware of these threats, and he tries to conceal his identity by "encrypting it thoroughly".
