OP, i can feel your spirit but i think it will be wise if we can distinct between movement, change and progess. For me my self, in VUCA condition, changing our position constantly appear not a rational decision. Hibernate not always mean stagnation, for me it is best strategy so we can gather as many as information, observe, preserve our energyand resources anf waiting perfect signal and time to wake up and move. At least we have clear direction with clear consideration.

Beside that, i feel rather uncomfortable when you make analogy between personal development with bitcoin because bitcoin operating constantly whatever the situation. Human very complex and operated under very different circumstance with different constraint. I believe the concept of mindset change is very different from taking chances with money. Bitcoin can give us the tools to challenge our preconceptions. I agree that change is constant in nature as a sign that life is still going on, it leaves us with the necessity of doing something to improve our quality of life. But i think we don't have to respons every change with a reaction. I think on these VUCA world, our ability to choose and  determining what should be changed and what should be preserved actually becomes a competency. Based on my experiences in business, sometimes higher is not better, keeping stable job , healthy business or current existing strategy is actually a better decision than pursuing something bigger where the risk isn't worth it.

Many people forget to distinguish between complacency with contentment. I get your point, but not all competitions are bad though, there are healthy competitions that basically serves as a great source of motivation to the people in competition.
