WHAT IS QUANTUS?

Quantus is a purpose-built Layer 1 Proof-of-Work blockchain designed around post-quantum cryptography, private peer-to-peer electronic cash and recursive zero-knowledge proofs.

Instead of attempting to retrofit post-quantum cryptography onto an existing blockchain, Quantus was built from the ground up with post-quantum cryptographic primitives.

Name: Quantus
Ticker: QTC
Network: Layer 1
Consensus: Proof of Work
Maximum Supply: 21,000,000 QTC
Decimals: 12
Mining System: QPoW
PoW Function: Poseidon2
Target Block Time: ~12 seconds
Difficulty Adjustment: Every block
Mainnet Launch: September 9, 2026

Official Website:
https://www.quantus.com/

Official Documentation:
https://docs.quantus.com/

POST-QUANTUM CRYPTOGRAPHY

Quantus is designed around standardized post-quantum cryptography.

Transaction signatures: ML-DSA-87
Standard: NIST FIPS 204
P2P encryption: ML-KEM-768
P2P identity: ML-DSA-87
Hashing: Poseidon2
ZK system: Plonky2 / STARK-based recursive proofs

ML-DSA is the standardized form of the signature scheme previously known as CRYSTALS-Dilithium.

Quantus therefore does not rely on traditional elliptic-curve signatures for its core transaction-authentication architecture.

Technical Documentation:
https://docs.quantus.com/

PROOF OF WORK — QPoW

Quantus uses a custom Proof-of-Work consensus system called QPoW.

The mining work function is based on Poseidon2 hash grinding.

QPoW should not be confused with a "quantum mining algorithm".

The post-quantum security properties of Quantus primarily come from its cryptographic signature and networking architecture.

Poseidon2 was selected in part because it can be efficiently integrated with the network's zero-knowledge proof architecture.

A miner searches for a nonce that produces a digest below the current network difficulty target.

Target Block Time: 12 seconds

Difficulty Retarget: Every block

Maximum Supply: 21,000,000 QTC

Mining Participation: Permissionless Proof of Work

QPoW Technical Documentation:
https://docs.quantus.com/deep-dives/qpow/

QTC SUPPLY & DISTRIBUTION

21,000,000 QTC MAXIMUM SUPPLY

Genesis Mint

27% — 5,670,000 QTC

Proof-of-Work Mining

73% — 15,330,000 QTC

The remaining 73% of the maximum supply enters circulation through Proof-of-Work mining.

Genesis Allocation:

23% — Investors, founders and team

4% — Company allocation

According to the published Quantus tokenomics, the investor/founder/team allocation is locked for the first year after mainnet and then vests linearly over the following 36 months.

Of the 4% company allocation, 1% is liquid at genesis for initial liquidity while the remaining portion follows its published lock and vesting structure.

Standard mining block rewards do not include a developer tax.

Quantus uses a continuously declining emission curve rather than Bitcoin-style discrete halvings.

RECURSIVE ZERO-KNOWLEDGE PROOFS

Post-quantum signatures are substantially larger than conventional ECDSA signatures.

Quantus addresses this scaling challenge through its Wormhole architecture and recursive zero-knowledge proof aggregation.

The system uses a Quantus-maintained implementation of Plonky2 and recursive STARK-based proof composition.

Current published Quantus documentation reports approximately:

~430 QTPS

with current two-layer aggregation

Published theoretical performance is higher, but real-world network performance should always be evaluated using current mainnet conditions.

https://docs.quantus.com/deep-dives/wormhole/

PRIVACY — WORMHOLE

Quantus includes a system called Wormhole.

Wormhole transfers use zero-knowledge proofs and proof aggregation and are also used for the network's mining reward architecture.

Mining rewards are paid to Wormhole addresses.

Wormhole transfers can break the direct public sender-to-receiver relationship.

Important:

Quantus should not be described as providing absolute anonymity.

Its privacy model has defined properties and limitations, and users requiring privacy should review the protocol documentation directly.

MINING QTC

QTC is a Proof-of-Work cryptocurrency and can be mined.

Mining options include:

• Running the Quantus node and miner
• GPU mining
• External mining software
• Mining pools supporting QTC

Mining System:
QPoW / Poseidon2

Mining rewards:

Mining rewards are sent to a Wormhole reward address.

Users should read the official mining documentation before setting up a node or miner.

Official Node Repository:

Official Quantus Miner Repository:
https://github.com/Quantus-Network/quantus-miner

Important for miners:

Always verify:

• Miner download source
• Miner version
• Release checksum where available
• Pool address
• Wallet/reward address
• Current network configuration
• Current difficulty
• Mainnet compatibility

Never run unknown miner binaries obtained from unverified mirrors.

THIRD-PARTY MINING ECOSYSTEM

The following resources are third-party services and are not operated by the Quantus development team.

Kryptex QTC Mining Pool:
https://pool.kryptex.com/qtc

Kryptex currently provides regional QTC mining endpoints and both pooled and SOLO mining options.

Its QTC page currently lists support for several mining applications, including:

• PeakMiner
• Fearminer
• SRBMiner-MULTI
• Fl4shMiner
• Blockz-miner
• ForgeMiner
• RGMiner
• KRig

Because pool addresses, fees, software versions and supported miners can change, always use the current information shown on the pool's own QTC page.
